"Over here!"

"Haha- yeah, alright. Lead the way, Fixator."

Tonight, Star Fixator has decided to drag Grode out to go stargazing together. Even if initially Grode didn't really want to, he eventually agreed to go after so much pestering and begging from Fixator.

It was cute, honestly.

Now here they are, sitting on top of a nice grassy hill, away from the busy streets of Modelista. The two look up at the sky, and Star Fixator quickly points at something. "Grode, look! A constellation! I think I know this one!" He exclaims, before eventually rambling about it to the other man, who only watches him do so fondly.

Star Fixator stays true to his name no matter what; he's someone who has fixations towards the stars. He's someone who admires stars, studies about stars, talks about stars, thinks about stars—his whole life revolves around stars at this rate. He always likes stargazing, and even moreso when he does it with his loved ones. Last week, after getting out of the Operation: dusk/break simulation, he, Plaudite, CONVERGENCE, and Libertia managed to fulfill their promise to stargaze together, and Grode just knows that it was a wonderful experience for Star Fixator—

"Grode? Grooooooode? Fixator to Grode!"

"Wh-"

Star Fixator's voice immediately snaps Grode out of his thoughts. Maybe he also stared at Fixator for too long, which immediately makes his face go red. "O-oh- uh- sorry about that. I, uh- um..." Grode stutters out, before eventually, he sighs. Star Fixator raises an eyebrow at this, before finally, he asks with concern, "Are you alright? You spaced out and you were just...staring at me earlier. I don't think you even listened to me rambling about the constellation I saw just now."

"Oh- uh..." Grode trails off for a moment, before finally, with a reddening face, he confesses, "Star, you're so fucking handsome." Upon hearing his words, Star Fixator's face flushes in an instant. "Whuh huh?" That's all that comes out of his mouth, however. Grode sighs. "Uh- yeah. I really like you and I really wish this stargazing thing is a date, not gonna lie."

"It's not like you feel the same way, though, so-"

"What are you talking about? I do feel the same way."

What the fuck.

Grode turns his head to look at Star Fixator in an instant, the look on his face pretty much screams "what the fuck did you just say". Seeing this, Star Fixator laughs. "I said, I do feel the same way. I like you too—I love you, in fact." He then says, and that's when Grode blinks at him a few times in disbelief.

"Really???" Grode asks.

"Really!" Star Fixator responds.

And when Grode asks a second time, Star Fixator happily answers for a second time also.

Soon enough, Grode tackles Star Fixator into a hug, all while laughing gleefully. The one who fixates on the stars, too, laughs along with him, hugging him tightly and holding him close. Eventually, after all of that, the two share a kiss and then continue stargazing.

This is all Grode has ever wished for.

Maybe wishing upon a star has proven to be useful, after all.

STARLA: (to Star Fixator (Rhymix)) "Y'know, I kinda wonder what the constellations of Rhymix are like. Probably quite different from Rhythmia's constellations, given other differences in our worlds."

TETRA: (to Plaudite (Rhymix)) "Tetra here, picking up from where Dusk left off on talking about how the whole plan started. So a while back, Fern mentioned in the group chat that apparently the AIs were left slumbering in the simulation, even if their wishes, their promises, were unfulfilled. Now, I ain't the sort of person to just let that be where that story ended, so I started work on a little project. I may not have had documentation on how the simulation worked, but I had documentation on a parallel noticed beforehand (Fern mentioned the parallels to me when talking about the simulation situation), and I could work from there. Using what I knew about metalayers, I came up with a plan in two parts: The first part would be to activate the 'framework' of the simulation (without generating the wholeass simulated world again). The second part is where the metalayer stuff came into play, with the base idea being that, if Rhymix is similar to Rhythmia in effectively being connected to both 'inside' and 'outside' something known as the World Axis, then theoretically the simulation would exist on a lower metalayer, and therefore it would be possible to pull stuff up a metalayer. I accounted for the whole 'data complexity disparity' factor via the fact that bringing stuff up a metalayer is easier when something is already up there, akin to a pulley. Thanks to Aleph's shenanigans during April Fool's day, apparently it was possible for some on your end to communicate to some extent with what our world knows as the Otherworld (which in metalayer terms could be considered above both your world and our world), which meant I could ask someone there to help out with my plan via a README that mentioned the situation. In all honesty, the chat client was an afterthought at first, but I figured that since my plan worked in two parts, it would be a good idea to add a feature that, if both parts successfully connected, would be usable to pass the time. Kinda crazy how all that started with a flowchart about parallels with a previously-seen situation, a group chat, and me not letting some dreams go unfulfilled, y'know? (also sorry about the wall of text, guess I tend to do that sometimes)"

I felt like sharing these stupid looking concepts I drew up for once, so here's grode and Star Fixator. Might work on their ref sheets soon, if I have the motivation to.
