so I noticed a lot of folks (myself included) were posting rhythm doctor internsonas as of late - and I wanted to make it easier for us to learn more about these interns - so I made a small information sheet!

this is completely free to use and can help act as an introduction for those new in the community, so please pop off with your designs!

an example on how to use the sheet is below:

'gimmick' simply refers to any type of beat we learn over the story: 7-beats, SVTs, blast beats, burn and freeze, etc.

hopefully this all makes sense, but please add a comment if you have any questions! i'll answer what i can :)

So I recently made this tumblr account because I've been thinking of actually posting content I like here since I heard it's nice here but at the same time I've been hit by the Rhythm Doctor fanon hyperfixation so yeah i unno maybe i'm just gonna post random stuff here as I feel like it? Anyways that doesn't really matter for now here's my internsona that RDL finally got me to post! I only really waffle about them on discord but I guess I could also overelaborate about their existence and their roomba here though I'm not actually sure where to start! (so uh.. i guess ask me anything about them? or if not, i'm likely going to post the 29 other images of them sooner or later anyways that needs context to explain) This ref image is also really old and I've been thinking of redrawing it lately

DR. RIVER

I figured I would revisit the design of our favourite resident teacher's pet (doctor's pet?). It's my internsona, Dr. River! Though he's definitely more of an OC, at this rate. He just has a lot of my Quirks.

This was mostly made after he seemed to get quite a bit of affection in the RDL fanon channels; so, if you're curious on who exactly this pattern-loving nerd is, look below!

Dr. O. River (he refuses to clarify what the 'O' stands for) is a member of the Rhythm Doctor Initiative within Middlesea Hospital. In some routes, he is the intern - who, after the events of 1-XN, lost faith within the remote feature of the project; and began to attend to patients in person. In others, and most commonly, he is an intern supervisor - a role given to him by Dr. Edega when one particular intern came under his wing.

Speaking of Edega, River is mostly known for his core feature: he's Edega's favourite.

To put in better words: River thrives off of overwork. The more you give him, the more energy he'll have - and, in turn, the more work he'll get done. In addition, he's professional to a fault, seeming almost robotic in the way he presents himself. Observant, efficient, and, most of all, apathetic.

Or, at least, that's how he presents himself to the lead doctor.

Truth be told, River is far friendlier as he looks. An absolute dork with a literature degree; he'll take any chance to ramble about language, formatting, prose and the like. One of his biggest features as a supervisor is that he knows stress when he sees it, and will take an intern's pager (claims its for "intern surveillance") entirely to mark half of their tasks as complete ("I've already treated this lot. Just stick to these four, and I'll handle the rest"). He also hates Edega's guts - more than you think. No, more than that.

He'll drop lore at the drop of a hat ("Want a fun fact? 'M Scottish. Don't sound like it, but I've got a whole lot o' siblings in the central highlands."), crack jokes on a whim and laugh at himself ("How do you get two whales in a red mini?"), and fake Edega's footsteps entirely to scare his first and favourite intern: Dr. Desert [owned by the lovely @fufupng].

In short: Dr. River is a monotonous nerd with a heart of gold. He can predict when patients need treating, and has an obsession with pattern recognition - but, if you need some help with that overwhelming list of tasks Edega has you doing, he'll gladly do 80% of the work for you. As long as you let him talk about words.

Heydy howdy! Guess who's hopped aboard the robo intern traiiin! This gooorl! So here's Marie! Before I delve into anything with her, I NEED to thank my good friend @pokeart123 for helping me out with this drawing! Medibang crashed and erased all my progress when I was nearly done with her colouring. If it wasn't for them, Marie's design would've been lost to the ether! I owe them my whole dang life! Now then, main stuff about her is under the cut cuz it's a bit long!

. Okay soooo!! Marie bot! She's a performance-based robo, specifically a ballerina one. Each MARI model is one in a million, but a part of a production line regardless. Specially made for each and every customer with any and all requests that they may desire. She was the perfect machine. Perfect…

She didn't like it. She was specifically chosen and custom-made to dance and be a beautiful set piece. What else? Nothing else. She hated it, but what else was she to do? … She was incomplete.

Marie wants to be whole, different, anything but perfect, in a body that she feels comfortable in. She goes across the land, scavenges parts and scraps from disassembled and discarded drones, adding them to herself with the hope that it'll make her feel complete at some point. The hope that she'll be able to fix what her makers ruined. Until recently, she had no voice to cry suffering, having needed to tear open a less fortunate droid and fix herself, customize the voicebox until it sounded right… Will anything ever be truly right?

Dr Dublar is a melow person who does have a few anger issues and thanks to his odd two hearts situation he was prone to feeling tired and weak and then switching to a rapid heartbeat that made their chest hurt but only on their left side. And every time they check their heartbeat it sounds like there was two heartbeats.

But unfortunately their parents didn't trust the medical field at all saying that all they needed were "oils and praying!" to cure this. So Dublar just thought it was an uncureable thing in their body for the longest time.

They pursuded the medical career, much to the dismay of their parents, because they really liked helping others and they had the slightest want to figure out what was going on inside them.

They got a job at Middlesea Hospital and quickly became friends with the patents, Ada, and Ian. (they are still iffy about Edega) But after mentioning on how they got chest pains and faintness every now and then Ada and Ian said those were symptioms of Bradycardia and Tachycardia, but were a bit perplexed about the whole "two heartbeats" thing.

After using the rhythm defibrillator and finding out about Dublar's strange two hearts situation, they got the propper medication and a pacemaker for each heart. Nobody knows why they were born with two hearts but hey this is a world with a guy who's head can spin 360 degrees and sammari so its not that weird.

Dublar's Likes: -Resting and relaxing.

-Magnets, they just think they're neat.

-Helping others and socializing.

Dublar's Dislikes:

-When unexpected things happen.

-Loud sounds.

-People who think that oils can cure cancer.

-Being a burdin to others.

Gimick: Two Hearts:

Instead of having one heartbeat, they have two. The red one is faster than the blue one and at times you'll have to moniter both of them at the same time.
