Wilbur started ranting about history and geography to Phil, having picked up scraps of knowledge from stolen textbooks and schooling. so, one day, after another meal at a Chinese restaurant, Phil took Wilbur to a museum. it was the happiest he’s ever seen Wilbur. when they return from the museum, Wilbur is sleepy and about to pass out. silently, Phil promises Wilbur that one day, when he gets the money, they will travel the world together. Wilbur hears him vaguely as he’s drifting off, and he doesn’t even flinch at the hidden implication that they will still be there, together, for years to come
