Stasis wasn’t quite the same as sleep, leaving Sixty distantly aware of his surroundings even while resting, and feeling his mate’s teeth gently gnawing on his hand. The pressure varied between nearly non-existent and points of intense pressure from her sharp teeth against his palm.

Still a little worked up from his earlier bout of overheating the mechanical mer cracked an eye as he was shifted closer to Rachel by James, but allowed himself to be lulled back into rest by the larger mer.

Pleased that they were resting now that they were cuddled up properly James let out a deep chested rumble to further sooth them before slipping away to hunt for them. Snagging a large pike, uncertain if Six needed more or less food than expected given how different he seemed to be, he also grabbed a few smaller fish for himself to eat while swimming back to the pair. They would need their energy and while they were still with him James was determined to do everything he could to ensure they were comfortable and cared for.

While James was away from the pair, Rachel slept soundly. She was safe, protected, and thoroughly bred. All that was left to do was wait. For what? She wasn't entirely sure. She never had a mate before and she had never had offspring before. She wasn't even sure what she was supposed to expect.

All that the siren could do was wait for signs and listen to her body. Maybe she could ask James for an explanation if he had a moment.

Speaking of which, the smell of food roused her from her sleep and she chirped, seeing James in the distance bringing a large pike.

Hunger suddenly clawed at her belly, the hunger of an entire nest of hatchlings and their mother all at once. And in response, she tried to shuffle out from under her mate to be able to have a meal.

and okay hear me out, i feel hank is the type of guy who frowns and furrows his brows when he gets really aroused. so the expression on his face here may seem weird or like he's scared, but i promise he's enjoying himself! at least that is how i intended it to be! it's more of a "oh shit this feels too good, how am i gonna keep up with connor for the entire heat/rut period?" kind of deal. (in this particular piece, i think connor is helping hank out with his heat? idk man). i also just find it a lil funny to imagine connor being like "why is hank angry with me? :(" some times, when hank is just thinking, "fUCK HE'S HOT, sHIT PLAY IT COOL" bc maybe connor was being extra thoughtful or competent or something. and idk how an android/human a/b/o verse would work, but i would like to imagine that maybe androids choose what designation they want, if they want any at all? or maybe they can switch if they feel like it. something something "hank,i have downloaded new designation simulations, would you like to try them out? :)". idk it's a cool idea to play around with,i'm sure someone's written fic about it.

TONY STARK

Tony Stark was born and raised on Coruscant, son of a powerful weapons mogul. He had only just taken the role of CEO of Stark Industries when the Republic fell and he began building weapons for the Empire. He didn’t question it, he just did what he was best at - building and creating, and reaping the benefits. Years later he is kidnapped by a gang of pirates seeking his tech. This experience, and the horror he went through during it, showed him the truth of the Empire. He closes down weapons manufacturing, but that wasn’t enough, he wanted to do more. He begins to help the rebellion in secret, using his power and wealth to get them what they need. (this verse can also be adjusted to fit prequel or sequel eras as needed.)

FRIDAY

She is an android personally built by Tony Stark. No one knows that she is a droid. She helps him aid the rebellion in ways that he can’t be seen doing.

LUCY QUINZEL

Lucy was born and raised on Nar Shaddaa, nicknamed the “Smuggler’s Moon,”. Lucy never met her parents, who were leaders of one of the planets many ruthless gangs. Instead, she was raised by her aunt, who tried to give her a good life and protected her as much as she could but was killed when Lucy was young. Lucy turned to stealing to survive. Years later she joined a group of pirates, she travels off world with them hoping to one day steal enough to get her own ship.

CONNOR

The most advanced android built by cyberlife, Connor was made to serve and aid The Empire/First Order. He followed orders for a while, slowly developing emotions and empathy. He eventually deviated and escaped to aid the rebels.

WILL GRAHAM

(still a WIP) A Jedi, Will is constantly on the edge between the Light and Dark. He experiences extreme Force Empathy / Telepathy / and visions. This has made him somewhat of an outlier even amongst other Jedi.

JAMES HOLDEN

Holden was a First Lieutenant in the Imperial/First Order Navy, after a disagreement with a superior officer he was given a general court-martial, convicted and discharged from service. He didn’t return home, instead he spent a few years traveling around the outer rim, picking up random jobs. Eventually he joins the rebellion (details of how will be figured out later). He is now captain of the Rocinante, part of the rebel fleet. (how he and the crew come into possession of the Roci is also something that will be figured out later)

NELL CRAIN

(tw for suicide) Force sensitivity ran in Olivia's family - her mother, her, and then all her kids to some degree. Olivia was not trained and she didn’t want her kids to be taken in by the Jedi. But untrained force sensitives can be dangerous, and of course things go wrong when the children are young. The family moves into a place, not knowing that it rests on a nexus of the dark side. Immediately this starts messing with their heads. Like in the series, Olivia goes a bit crazy and tries to kill the twins, Hugh gets the kids out, and Olivia kills herself before he comes back to get her.

Being exposed to the dark side so young left it’s mark on Nell and she suffers from the consequences of this throughout her life - nightmares, seeing things, and outbursts of the force. As an adult Nell tries to live a normal life but ends up mostly isolated. Nell and her twin brother Luke are the most ‘unstable’ of the kids, even as adults; they have the most problems controlling their force ability which causes a lot of problems for them.

ELIZABETH SWANN

Governor’s daughter, twin, handmaiden, pirate. For eight years Elizabeth, along with her twin sister Tsabin (renamed Sabe), served as handmaidens for Queen Padme Amidala. After her service was done Elizabeth decided to travel, giving in to the wanderlust she always felt. She traveled the mid and outer rim, until she was captured by pirates. Originally, they planned to hold her for ransom, however she struck an accord with her would-be captors. She joined their crew, becoming a pirate. Eventually ((through some plot stuff that I still need to figure out whoops)) she becomes Captain of her own crew, and then is elected leader of the Brethren Court.

Detroit: Become Human + Trigun Stampede Crossover Verse

When humans were trying to flee from Earth, having spent up all of the available resources on the planet, there was a company who assisted in achieving their goals of travel. CyberLife was one of the few remaining large corporations that operated off of other available resources as opposed to fossil fuels and the like. The CEO of the company, Elijah Kamski, made it his mission to ensure humanity could survive out there in the vastness of space. He played a key role in Project SEED, providing insight on the ships that would be sent out to find and populate other planets. Another thing the man had created were androids. Beings to assist in the integration of a new world and the order that it would need. There were a variety of models, ranging from health care androids, worker androids, all the way to law enforcement androids. The intention was that people would still be able to learn from these androids and have everything they needed in order to survive and grow in the new world. The intention was sound, but the execution was poor. Many of the ships were destroyed during travel or landing on various planets. Gunsmoke was one such planet that, unfortunately, most of the androids were lost in the crash. Either intense damage beyond repair or the ships they were on simply didn’t make it. The humans who survived their crash landing were left to their own devices, unable to utilize the technology that had been made for them.

Connor POV

Connor was among the lost androids, having been on a ship that crashed on Gunsmoke and remained untouched for over 150 years. The androids had all been placed in cryo with the people to ensure they were in pristine condition upon arrival. Unfortunately, Connor was never released from this state and remained dormant. He was designed to enforce and uphold the laws people held strongly on Earth. One of, what was supposed to be many, law enforcement androids that resembled a detective among the police force. He is unaware of everything that has happened to humanity since landing on Gunsmoke nor the time that has passed.

RK900 (Colin) POV

Colin, too, was one of the last android models aboard one of the ships. He was built as a backup model in case the RK800 model ever failed. He was designed as a caregiver for the plants, to regulate them and ensure that they were stable throughout the process of pulling power from them. Additionally, he was tasked with enforcing security. Maintaining the rooms that the Plants resided in, as well as ensuring that no unauthorized personnel entered their rooms. The RK900 model unfortunately never saw the light of this task come to fruition. He was not activated in the last 150 years after the crash, only recently coming to life when something shifted and the pod carrying the androids was disturbed. Colin found himself wandering a wasteland, trying to understand what happened to humanity and the plants. He finds himself drawn to cities with plants, though humans seem to not understand his purpose. Unlike the RK800 model who had a mission upon starting up, Colin does not. Instead, the android is seeking out Plants in order to follow his initial programming.

Hank POV

Hank Anderson’s ancestor was one of the people trapped in the pods during the crash. His ship had been saved, otherwise Hank wouldn’t be around today. He pegged himself as some sort of Detective, investigating crimes or stopping crimes, whatever you wanted to call it. He was someone for hire for the most part, though this world was certainly cruel. No Man’s Land was no joke, and Hank has seen his fair share of trouble. He has found himself getting caught up with an android from the old world, from before the crash, all thanks to his DNA matching some schmuck from that era. At first, Hank is not interested and tries to brush Connor off, but slowly the android wears him down and he agrees to help Connor, who seems to insist on investigating all of those disappearing plants. This thing is going to be the death of him.

The offer was certainly tempting, and she'd be lying if a good meal with some good company didn't sound enticing. It was nice to make conversation with the good folks of this city, unconventional though that was for an officer of the law. They mostly just did their jobs and then mingled once their badges were hung up, but Rachel saw the job as more than just a badge.

After all, if these people were the ones who were being governed under the law, than the arm of it should be protecting the people under it. And you'll generally be better at protecting people if you knew them, or at least treated them with respect.

It wasn't as easy to turn a blind eye and submit to human survivalist apathy if there was an emotional investment, after all. And that wasn't difficult for someone like Rachel with as tender a heart as she had. It wasn't uncommon for the more macho officers to say her heart was too soft for this to be shut up the moment actual trouble reared its head and the saw how little nonsense she put up with when the lives and safety of Detroit's citizens were on the line.

The deputy may be soft, kind, and deeply compassionate and inclined towards empathy, but she was anything but weak. Everyone who ever mistook her as such quickly regretted that mistake. "That's quite kind o' you, Six. I was plannin' on maybe rustling up some grits or score up some fresh venison from the local butcher to fry up, but I've always said a meal is best enjoyed in good company."
