Some more events: Slopearch has gotten greencough. Streaktail has gotten a stomachache. Weaseldaisy can walk without pain, their cracked pads have healed. Roachkit is asking Weaseldaisy where kits come from.

Poor Badgerkit.. and I think Skyhowl is definitely helping Streaktail come to terms with his grief. She seems like the type of cat to be blunt but kind too.

Newleaf - Moon 1

Reefthunder seemed sad, thought Coralkit as she splashed around in a puddle. The deputy's head rested glumly on her paws. With a giggle, the young kit stomped her paws and sent splashes of water towards the elder cat until a creep of a smile graced her features. It was good to see her happy again.

Meanwhile, a brave Roachkit slipped away from the prying eyes of his babysitters. Eelripple and Goosegleam were busy fussing over his brother, leaving the kit free to do as he pleased. He snuck behind a bush and found a small hole in the rock wall of the nursery, squeezing his body through until he popped out the other side. A few hours later, Roachkit returned proudly carrying the wings of an insect to the horrified faces of the two warriors.

"We have no herbs to spare - I need them all to ensure they survive," explained Lotuslake to Shellbone. The warrior had come with news of the neighbouring clan GrouseClan, needing herbs, but the medicine cat would not risk the lives of the two tiny kits just to boost Clan relations. Shellbone flicked her tail in annoyance and left to deliver the news. Eelripple accompanied her as the two journeyed to the border, only to be interrupted by the scent of blood.

"Strike?" Eelripple's voice wavered at the sight of her brother's torn pelt. "What are you doing out here? Can we help?" The small patrol listened as the loner explained that he was looking for his mate and kits who should be about a moon old by now.

"Her name is Jakada," he pleads. Shellbone and Eelripple exchange worried glances.

"She died giving birth," Eelripple broke the news to her brother and watched as his face fell, crestfallen. "Come with us. You can meet your sons - Guppykit and Roachkit. Two big, healthy boys." At this, Strike's expression brightened and he hesitantly agreed to follow the two cats back to camp.

"There is someone I have to meet." Escorted on patrol by Waterstar, Strike leads the ginger tom towards the twoleg place where a young black she-cat stands waiting. "This is Jozi, my daughter. She knows a thing or two about healing. Maybe she has information that can help you find your missing warrior?"

Waterstar nods curtly and allows Strike to break the news of Jakada's death to his daughter. There was a time and place for interrogation. Jozi offered them each a mouse and the trio shared a meal while discussing the disappearance of Shrubslip. Unfortunately, they returned empty-pawed.

This took me. Forever. To complete. Youd think 17 cats isnt a lot- Uh. Yes. Yes it is. I can do the basic sketching of them in like an hour but it took me about 2 days to do the digital art of these (I finished them before I made the blog itself so I had something to put here while working on the art for year 2) Anyways!!! The end of a short story

Kerstelshade, rippleshadow, bigkit, crestkit, roachkit, valentino, rudolph, branchfrecle clayjoy and crabshimmer all died in a greencough outbreak.

Crabshimmer could not hold on anymore and let herself get consumed by the darkness. As she sat in a place that felt like nowhere, a sudden light made her feel safe. An orange ticked cat apperard. "Daplledspots!" Crabshimmer went to hug her littermate, "I'm dead now, arn't I?" Dappled answerd:"dead is such a cruel word." As Crabs fur filled with stars he continued, "Don't be afraid, come join us, it's all fine"

"I dare you to hunt that chicken," Eelripple grinned as the pair of young warriors approached the wooden twoleg den. It was old and half rotted, but the scent of twolegs was strong. In a fenced off area, two plump chickens pecked at the ground. It was certainly a tempting meal.

"I'll catch both of them, just you wait," came Shrubslip's reply. Before Eelripple could talk her down, the pale she-cat climbed over the fence towards the birds. A creak from nearby, followed by a slam, and Eelripple turned to see a twoleg emerge from the nest entrance. Too late to warn her friend, she watched helplessly as it picked up a writhing Shrubslip before disappearing into the darkness from where it came.

Racing back to camp, she caught sight of a breathless Shellbone and a frightened Goosegleam, learning that the others encountered a swarm of twolegs while training. In the next few days, Waterstar and Reefthunder assemble search parties in between consoling a stricken Eelripple, but Shrubslip was nowhere to be found.

A tiny mewling reached the ears of Lotuslake as she picked her way through the grasses that lined the dunes. A sign from StarClan, perhaps? Following the sound, the medicine cat found the cooling body of a black she-cat beneath a rotten twoleg structure. Around her neck sat a shiny leather collar and at her belly lay two tiny kittens. She brings the two twin boys back to camp and introduces them to the Clan as Guppykit and Roachkit, not hiding their origin.

Beliefs: Emberfang is a devout follower of Starclan and makes sure to instill such devotion in her kits and apprentices. She feels as if she owes all her allegiance to Starclan. And if she feels as if Boulderstar is slightly misguided and gently attempts to urge him in other directions? Well, that is just Starclan’s design…

Appearance: Emberfang is a massive, unique cat. Her legs are tortoiseshell orange and black. Her chest is white, with a beautiful, thick mane. Her back is a white/grey/black mottled color, almost calico but not quite. Her underbelly is a dirty yellow-white. Her face is dark black with tortoiseshell spotting and a half white muzzle/chin/throat. She is bushy and therefore not good at stealth, but her thick fur hides powerful muscles. She has several scars on both sides where fur no longer grows, giving a patchy appearance. Her ears are torn, she has a scar across her face. One look at her and you know she is a tough, experienced warrior. 

Story so far…: 

Life in Stoneclan isn’t easy…for most.

However, for Emberfang, she has always excelled. Trapping prey between rocks is her favorite pastime. She has learned how to smush them by moving the stones just so, which cuts down on hunting time significantly. She is a devout member of the clan and took a mate relatively late, wanting to get her time in as a warrior first, but after a grievous injury to her haunch, she succumbed to her mate, Vultureclaw’s, request to have kits. 

Unfortunately, due to the harsh conditions, only Tawnykit survived. But, she was the toughest and Emberfang loved her daughter fiercely. Together, they have been an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

When Vultureclaw got himself killed, Emberfang saw an opportunity to improve her position in the clan. She took Boulderstar as her mate and together, after much reluctance, Emberfang had three more kits: Firekit, Lizardkit, and Roachkit. They have recently graduated to apprentices and Emberfang is ready to once again defend her clan…

Profile: Bluebellfur of FoxClan

BLUEBELLFUR, deputy of FoxClan

Born to her father, HICKORYTAIL (deceased), and her other father, MOSQUITOSTORM (deceased), Bluebellfur was part of a litter of four, with SMOKEHEART (deceased) as their surrogate mother (Mosquitostorm was the biological father). However, only she and her brother, FLECKPELT, survived past kithood. Her sisters, MOSSKIT (deceased), and FLAMEKIT (deceased), died about a moon after they were born due to kitcough. She is not a huge cat like HAWKSTAR, however, she is long and lithe and considered very beautiful. She has a blue-gray tabby pelt and pale green eyes. She has a scar running down her face, and another scar on her chest. She is Fleckpelt’s younger sister, and is older than her deceased siblings. She is mates with ROBINFACE and is the adoptive mother to BURDOCKPAW and ROACHPAW. She identifies as a lesbian genderfluid female.

Bluebellfur was born Bluebellkit, and was the youngest surviving kit of her litter. While she and Fleckpelt, then Fleckkit, both also fell ill to kitcough, their bodies were strong enough to fight it off. Even so, their development was a bit stunted, and they became apprentices a few weeks later than usual. Bluebellpaw was determined to become the best warrior she could be, and trained hard alongside her brother. When Fleckpaw came out as being a transgender tom, Bluebellpaw stood by him against their uncle PHEASANTCLAW (deceased), who did not believe in “aberrant sexuality or gender.” Pheasantclaw eventually became so disgusted with Fleckpaw that he attempted to kill him, but instead ended up killing Hickorytail. FAWNSTAR (deceased), the leader at the time, was enraged at this action and exiled Pheasantclaw.

However, Pheasantclaw did not go far. After they got their warrior names, Bluebellfur and Fleckpelt were patrolling together when Pheasantclaw launched an ambush on them with several other rogues. During the fight, another rogue called Robin got in the way and killed Pheasantclaw, which caused the others to flee. Robin revealed that she had been told stories of the Clans and wished to join them, and when she saw Pheasantclaw attacking Bluebellfur and Fleckpelt without reason, she knew she had to intervene. Enamored by her, Bluebellfur convinced Fawnstar to let Robin join, earning Robin the name ROBINFACE. A few moons later, after a whirlwind romance and courtship, Bluebellfur and Robinface became mates.

Not long after that, a very pregnant loner stumbled into FoxClan’s camp, begging for help. She was on the verge of giving birth, and though MILKTAIL, the medicine cat, was there to help her, she died after giving birth to her two kits, whom she named Burdock and Roach. They were given the names Burdockkit and Roachkit, and Bluebellfur stepped up to raise them.

When HAWKSTAR became leader, he appointed Bluebellfur as his deputy, due to her caring heart, intelligence, and loyalty. Not long after her appointment as deputy, Mosquitostorm died after a long struggle with an unknown disease (cancer). Bluebellfur visits his grave regularly and places fresh flowers on it, along with Hickorytail’s grave as well.

Bluebellfur is intelligent, kind, and extremely loyal to her Clan and her family. She will not think twice before throwing herself into danger to protect them, and although this can be dangerous, she usually has the skill to fight her way out of it. She can be a bit overprotective of her kits at times, but not usually so much that it can be considered smothering. She is thirty-two moons old.
