The horse is out of the barn 🤠 I made ANOTHER comic. Don't ask me why does this keep happening, I really don't know either.

This time, for Arjen Lucassen and Robert Soeterboek's new (old) project, Plan Nine. It was a spontaneous idea from Robert after seeing something I did (I'm guessing it was the Universal Migrator comic), like "why don't we make a comic?", and Arjen told me, and of course I asked him if he was 100% sure because I would ABSOLUTELY do it. T'was a pleasure to work with Arjen again (...but when am I NOT working with him, is the question), and this time with Robert, too.

It was a lot of fun making this, and I had to illustrate basically everything artists hate: backgrounds, buildings, cars, motorcicle, a mule (which I guess is horse adjacent)... It's 22-ish pages, telling a short story for each song, and I may be biased, but I do believe it enriches the listening experience. It's available for pre-order in the Mascot store, and it's released on May 17th along with the album, so... no reason to not get it!

When Arjen Lucassen announced on Facebook earlier this year that for the first time in 22 years, Ayreon would play some live shows, the fans understandably went nuts. With no promotion or advertising, the two dates at 013 in Tilburg sold out within the hour (that’s 6000 tickets sold with no promotion) and a third date was added only to sell out the same day.

Op zaterdag 13 oktober vindt het indoorfestival Rotterdam Rocks XL plaats. Organisatoren Baroeg Rotterdam en Robert Soeterboek pakken tijdens deze editie van Rotterdam Rocks groots uit. Het spektakel verhuist namelijk naar de Maassilo.

Er zijn niet veel plekken waar je als rocker terecht kunt voor een goede portie (hard)rock en heavy metal. Maar in Rotterdam is daar Baroeg: het podium dat al 37…

United Voices of Rock 07-04-2017 20:30 Op vrijdag 7 april komt United Voices Of Rock naar Enschede. Vanaf februari 2017 trekken zangers Leon Goewie (Vengeance) Jay van Feggelen (Bodine) Stan Verbraak (Helloise) en Robert Soeterboek (Highway Chile Ayreon/Star One) langs de Nederlandse podia. IT'S OUUUUTTTT!! I had the immense pleasure and honour of illustrating the new Lucassen & Soeterboek's Plan Nine videoclip for the new single "Ice on Fire", check it out!! Worked real hard on this one, if you look closely, you can probably see my tears and feel my back pain in some animations.
