J. Smith-Cameron: The thing about all those Gerri/Roman scenes - or Roman/Gerri scenes, Kieran Culkin, if you're listening - is that things turn on a dime. And how they edit it then tells what actually is the story in the scene.

On the Logan & Gerri "have they done it" issue (after seeing J. tweet about Harriet Walter/Killing Eve, I was thinking about the wedding and how we didn't see Gerri interact with Caroline when all the while I was assuming she could have been Ger's first connection to the Roys):

What if it was Caroline who had an affair with Baird? He might have been Logan's friend or even the firm's general counsel like J. Smith-Cameron has suggested in interviews. Caroline asks him and Gerri to be Shiv's godparents but the affair is soon revealed and the families part ways. Logan then decides to hire Gerri out of spite and he plays it out like she's "the new thing", but nothing ever happened between them.

It could explain why she was never close to the Roy children up to a point where Roman didn't even remember who Baird was. And in the end it helps make it more plausible for her to go along with Roman's whatever-it-is-he's-doing.
