2023 Christmas Special; RoR

A/N: This is part one of the two pieced 2023 Christmas Special! I hope you guys enjoy this one featuring three of my favorite Record of Ragnarok characters!

Favorite Thing To Do With Their S/O

😁 On my life, I swear this man loves to decorate christmas trees

😁 Look at him and tell me to my face that he doesn’t look like the guy who enjoys bringing out the boxes of ornaments collected by him and his S/O throughout the years to decorate a tree and their shared home

😁 Vishnu also enjoys making hot cocoa, and while he doesn’t exactly enjoy drinking it himself, he loves watching his S/O’s cold frame de-freeze when drinking the beverage

😁 Because of how he lives on a mountain with his pantheon, it snows quite often throughout the year, since it’s so cold up there

😁 Watching his S/O mess around in the snow with his fellow pantheon members, Varuna and the younger ones, it just makes him smile!

😁 He also definitely has made ornaments with his S/O

😁 He looks like the kind of guy who doesn’t put much effort into gifts, but with his S/O, he puts in so much its unreal

🪩 Shiva is the God of Destruction, not the God of Baking, so, if you leave him alone to bake things, expect to hear the fire alarm, smoke billowing out of the kitchen, and a panicking Shiva

🪩 He has to be there to help, not lead, despite his constant nagging of how he can do it himself

🪩 You’ve definitely had to help him make a snowman with Ganesha while your wives and inside fixing his baking incident

☀️ Apollo also loves to help you stay warm after being outside, and as the God of the Sun, he allows sunlight to enter your room and directly hit you so you can warm up

☀️ This also comes in handy with walking around the yard outside, he can basically be a snow cleaner without a lot of effort

So this is about my AU inspired by @bones4thecats , a brief summary of this AU: Zerofuku has an adoptive mother who's a Valkyrie and she's also the mother of the 13 Valkyries we see. I made an oc and AU inspired by it.

Although I ship my oc with most of these, for the sake of wanting to share this AU I wanna make a main AU so it won't be so confusing to people. But I don't know who to choose to be my oc's husband.

I placed Heildam here for fun but why not? He's kinda cute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And although I already have a character in mind to ship with Buddha, I thought it would be funny to put him there.

I didn't put Poseidon here (who was in the original fic/hc) because I already had someone in mind for him.

I'm currently finishing the official drawing of her and working on her introduction bio, but here's how she looks.

Lemme introduce you to Dewi Sri, The Goddess of Rice and Fertility from th Ancient Javanese Pantheon!!

A human who ascended to the heavens, becoming a God along with her younger brother. The Goddess who cares for the people through crops and harvests. Sri has always put a smile on her face despite the tragedies that had happened to her. Because behind that smile of hers was a story of sorrows and struggle to protect her loved ones.

Facts about her : - She was married to Vishnu. Their marriage was a punishment for Sri because she was an accomplice to a major incident in her pantheon - Sri has two sons, one when she was with Vishnu and the other is with her current spouse - While Sri has two sons in Godhood, she never had any in her times as a human. Unlike her, Sadana, Sri's younger brother had one. - Sri may not be proficient in combat, but she has a vast world of knowledge in her head. Spells and curses are up in her alley.

p.s. about her falling for one of the human champions, I changed that bit ^^'. Currently she's married to one of my mutual's oc!

Chapter 2: Group Meeting

-Two days later Shiva and his family met once again at Raiden’s house, this time with Ganesha as well, as he was a part of the family as well.

-Raiden greeted them all warmly, “Yo! Do you all want to have a drink before we get started?”

-Ten voices, in unison, all shouted out, “‘NO!’” which made Raiden boom with laughter before he led them in.

-Along with Kojiro, Kondo, and Okita, there were other rikishi as well, older ones who were a bit wiser, those who might have some good advice as well.

-The talks started off well enough, with Kondo inquiring the Hindu gods about what they had been dealing with before this meeting, such as the proposal letters or any threats.

-Each of the gods took turns, telling the group that letters had been sent in, letters of intent from someone else, like parents offering their daughter, or from the woman herself, as well as some anonymous letters with threats, something Zeus was now investigating, telling them to not marry a human.

-Raiden agreed, nodding his head, “I’ve heard men talking, other human men, saying they didn’t want any of their daughters marrying a god.”

-Shiva scowled lightly, scratching the back of his head lightly, annoyed to hear there was prejudice on both sides, gods wanting them to not marry a human and humans not wanting the gods to marry one of their own.

-Kojiro showed his wisdom, instead of just picking a random girl, “What kind of women do you all like then? I would hate to recommend someone who wouldn’t be a good fit and waste your time or hers.”

-Brahma spoke first, surprising the gods, “Someone who is calm. I deal with enough with Shiva’s shenanigans, I want someone more laid back.”

-Shiva immediately pouted, scowling over at Brahma, “You make it sound like you don’t like me~”

-Brahma sent him a small glare, “I do like you; I just don’t like the trouble you constantly cause the rest of us.”

-Vishnu nodded in agreement, “Someone intelligent would be nice. Someone to hold good conversations with.”

-Kali agreed with him, “I agree, someone to have in depth conversations would be nice to have, also a woman who will get along with the three of us, nobody vain or catty.”

-Parvati then piped up, “And they have to be nice to my son! And I agree with Kali, someone not shallow or mean to the three of us!”

-Everyone went back and forth, discussing good qualities they want in a woman before the other rikishi started to get involved, stating their own preferences in women and the discussions were quick to dissolve into arguments on which preferences were the best.

-Some tried to keep the peace, like Kondo and Kojiro, while others tried to get the group back on track, like Rudra, “What happened to helping us find a wife?!”

-Shiva sighed softly before he glanced to the side, seeing Ganesha looking a bit worried about the fighting, turning to give his son a small smile, putting his hand on his head, “Go play Ganesha, you don’t need to sit here with us while we’re arguing.”

-Ganesha was surprised but he nodded and headed outside, into Raiden’s yard where he had played numerous times, enjoying the cooler weather.

-He instantly grinned, seeing other children he had played with before, both god and human children who cheered out his name and he was quick to meet them as one of the boys told the Hindu god that they were going to go and play with a kickball.

-They immediately inviting him to join in and the group of children ran off to go and play, leaving behind the house that doubled as a dojo that was getting louder and louder, behind.

It honestly sucks how underrated the Hindu pantheon is in this series.

Seriously, they have SO MUCH LORE that should be explored. And the gods/goddesses are just as interesting if not more!

When I started looking into them after I got into the manga series, I was SHOOK after learning about their actual selves. Did you know:

Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are known as the Trimurti and are extremely important in balancing the universe

Parvati is one of the most powerful goddesses to ever exist! Plus Durga and Kali are actually forms she transforms into when fighting Asuras

Indra is the king of Svarga, rules over the Hindu gods, and is a very stronger thunder god compared to Zeus and Thor

There’s just SO MUCH I want to learn more about from them. Please guys go research about them too! They have so many things going on in their stories that it’s just so crazy and cool at the same time!

I’m not surprised that Vishnu’s a flower lover. I read that lotus flowers are a big part of their culture and are connected to Vishnu, his wife Lakshmi, and other hindu deities. There are many beautiful paintings of the hindu deities sitting on giant lotus flowers that you should check out sometime 💜
