I think this is the earliest sketch I did of Jack as he became the final jack design. He’s riding like a skateboarder on a track of sand shooting out of one of Sandy’s smaller Star craft. I’d been looking at a lot of skater footage. I wanted Jack to have an ease and physical grace. He’d been a teen ager for hundreds of years. He’d be certain of his abilities and balance. Like a skateboard kid. He’d just go. And glide in youthful perfection. Found this today in an old sketchbook. I must have been at the Dreamworks offices.
