"I manage my brothers band 'Bad Idols'."

life in los angeles can be pretty intense, do you love it or hate it?

"It is intense indeed but I love it. You just always gotta look out for yourself and the people you care about and I think you'll be fine."

what inspires you to show up for the musicians you work for or collaborate with?

"Well, for one I think my brother would give me a mouthful if I chose to ditch him and the band." Layla laughed. "But other than that, it's fun and interesting to see where their journey takes them and to manage them through it."

what are some of your favourite genres of music?

"Metal or else I think I wouldn't enjoy my job that much. But I also like Oldies and Old School Rock."

what is the first record you ever bought?

"Cheesy but the first album my brothers band put out."

what’s next for you?

"Getting coffee because I've barely slept last night." She laughed. "And after that probably a Pilates class and then some more work. You'll have to wait and see where the journey will take us, I guess."

father: desmond hart.  his whole life Tyson heard he was the spitting image of his father, Desmond Hart. While it didn't feel very punk rock to be proud of your dad, he carried that like a badge of honor. While most would have resented their musician father for always touring, Ty viewed it as bragging rights. When Tyson was thirteen he lost both his mother and his father to addiction.

mother: celeste swanson.  tyson was an unexpected addition to celese and desmond’s lives.  he was a successful musician and they were just having fun.  while having a kid wasn’t in her plan she didn’t want to lose desmond.  tyson being born didn’t change either of their wild lifestyles and she passed not even a year after desmond did.  

adoptive mother: ang haley.  ang and desmond were in a successful band together (think sonic youth vibes).  they were in a relationship for the majority the time they were in a band together and even had a daughter together.  desmond’s addiction was what came between them and she needed to choose her daughter’s wellbeing over her former flame.  desmond’s passing hit her hard and when tyson needed a home there was no other choice than to take him in and became the mom he always needed.  she even officially adopted him and tyson added on her last name.    

half sister: zora haley.  zora was thrilled the moment she found out she was going to have a little brother.  though the pair didn’t see each other often at first the quickly became close once he moved in with her and ang.  zora was an accomplished author from a  young age but experienced a major creative burn out.  she’s currently a high school english teacher.
