A small 230 word long post I made about Loop because I noticed A Thing™

Warning: major spoilers for both In Stars And Time (Optional 6th Act conversation) and Start Again: A Prologue

So, I've been thinking about Loop, and you know, how they're Siffrin from Start Again.

One particular detail that stood out in isat is this:

"The King... I could never beat him, did you know that? No matter how hard I tried, the King always defeated me."

Now, for anyone who's not familiar, Start Again has 4 endings. The one in particular I'm mentioning is the True Ending.

During the game, Siffrin has been looping for a long time, and at the point we start the game, has completely forgotten their friends names.

The only time they remember everyone's names, is during the True Ending.

The reason why this is notable is because the only time Siffrin beats The King, is also during the True Ending.

So, Loop never experienced the True Ending, and never remembered their friends names.

Well, didn't remember their names during the loops...

Because we have this line:

"Hah, can you believe, I forgot their names, for a time?"

Notice the past tense (also, there's a line where they say everyone's names, but I forgot to take a picture of it).

So either, A: Loop relearned everyone's name during the time between Start Again and isat.

Or B: Loop only relearned everyone's name after being sent to isat Siffrin's world. (world, timeline, universe? I don't know what word fits.)

And if B is the case, that opens up a whole new possibility for Loop angst.

Dang it this post makes me want to do a soul saaap siffrin/Loop possess Kris and see their dynamic with the chapters we have.

Like imagine Loop going into the beginning sections and seeing color and having to process a non monochromatic world as a red soul. Then make a body like all they wished for was someone, anyone to help well now they’re out of a timeloop. Now into another persons body, another person’s life. They have a chance to start over then Kris is like b*** my body and the typical get out of my body. Maybe I want loop pettiness but also to try and find a way back to their original timeline. Also I think it’d be funny and a lot of character growth for both if they could chat. Like Loop being envious of Kris’s friendships and just for them to be working with the knight. Loop rage off the charts. Then Kris learning through loop if having the chance to just spill the issue before it too late. Idk I think it could be good.

Refreshers on each Memory:

Memory of Promise (Bonnie): Siffrin finds out what Bonnies book is about, and confronts them on it, leading to a reset after Bonnie says they hate Siffrin. upon talking to Bonnie again, Siffrin and Bonnie agree that adults are stupid for expecting the worst and they promise to protect the others.

This Memory makes Bonnie more likely to buff the others.

Memory of Secret Quest (Odile): This is Odiles Friendquest. I will not cover Friendquests as if you have finished the game you likely have the 'quests burnt into your mind, and if you haven't I wouldn't want to spoil them.

This Memory gives Odile a +30 to all stats.

Memory of Faith (Mirabelle): This is Mirabelles Friendquest. See above.

This Memory gives Mirabelle a +30 to all stats.

Memory of Stargazing (Isabeau): This is Isabeaus Friendquest. See above.

This Memory gives Isabeau a +30 to all stats.

Memory of Family (isat Siffrin): Once you have completed all Friendquests in a single loop, you beat the King. It fails to break the loop, and Siffrin is "mildly upset" at this. at the end of Siffrins realization that friendship wouldn't break the loops, you awake in the field and the Memory is acquired.

This Memory doubles experience gain for everyone but Siffrin.

Memory of Food (sasasa:p Siffrin): when Siffrin is on the path to the "true ending" of start again start again start again: a prologue, at a certain point the party will stop in a saferoom, and express how worried they are about Siffrin. Siffrin panics, and fails to assuage the fears of their party, which leads to Odile asking then to tell them just one thing worrying them, no matter how small. Siffrin eventually decides to say they are hungry, which leads to Bonnie offering a snack, which is unusual in start again start again start again: a prologue. After choosing a snack and eating it, Siffrin is asked if they are okay/better (I forget), to which they will nod unconvincingly, but it will be accepted.

Memories in sasasa:p do not have equipped effects.

everything about this star person is a novelty for Loopfrin. They had a whole moment when Bonnie handed them a candy with a crinkly wrapper. imagine how off foot they'd get after coming back from a loop and this star person remembers.

Siffrin taking as many chances to casually touch Loopfrin. Arm slung around their shoulders. Booping their nose. Holding their face and reassuring that they're real. Hugging them- getting them feeling present in their body once more.

ISAT 2025 Art Bang!

After the telephone game lot of people told me that they were interested in joining another project just like it so here we are!

The timeline!

What is an Art Bang?

An art bang is meant to create a BANG of fanwork in the fandom! You (and as many authors who sign up) come together to write fanfics from scratch. The fanfic can be an idea that you’ve been wanting to write for a while and just haven’t gotten the motivation to, a fanfic you haven’t been able to continue but want to, or it can be an idea someone else suggests when you join.

Halfway through the writing process authors will be paired up with artists who have read a summary of their work and want to draw for it. When everything is finished, everyone will release their fanfic and fanart in the same week in an explosion of fanworks!

How does it work?

Step 1: Authors sign up and start writing on June 28th. Authors CANNOT add any words to their official word count until after June 28th.

Step 2: After about a month, Authors submit a snippet or summary of their fic which is presented to the artist participants anonymously.

Step 3: Artists choose as many fics that they’d be interested in drawing for and I organize and pair up everyone together.

Step 4: Authors finish up writing, Artists finish up drawing.

Step 5: Works are scheduled to be uploaded to Ao3 and/or Tumblr!

Rules/Expectations

If you use generative AI or AI “assistance” I will trap you in a timeloop ☆*: .｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆

AI anything is not allowed under any circumstances and will get you immediately banned from this project and any future projects.

All fics must be uploaded to either Ao3 or Tumblr

Spoilers for ISAT and SASASA:P are not reinforced in the Discord server

Authors

Authors must write at least 10k words in total.

Authors can write as many chapters and fanfics as they want.

Can be about anything! It can even be a continuation of a previous fic that you’ve lost motivation on, but you still must write at least 10k words in total.

Can be any rating! General Audiences to Explicit are welcome 

Authors who want to write Explicit fics must confirm they are 18 years or older.

Artists

Artists must create at least one finished artwork. 

If artists want to create something like an animation or animatic, they can check in with me and we can decide together what is a reasonable finished goal.

Artists can create artwork for multiple fics.

Artists who want to draw for explicit fics must confirm they are 18 years or older.

Can I share snippets of my work before the artist claims?

Preferably no, artist claims are made anonymously so that works are picked without any bias.

10k words seems like a lot?

Altogether, yes, but this challenge extends over 2.5 - 3 months, that’s roughly 3k words a month.

Can I write multiple fics?

Yes, but one of them needs to reach the 10k word mark.

Do explicit fics mean nsfw/sex included things, or is it general heavy themed ones?

Both. Nsfw/sex and general heavy themes.

How 'high level' do the art pieces need to be? i dont want to just do simple sketches of course but how complex should they be?

Since you'll be given a month+ to work on your piece, at the minimum it should be a polished piece. IE Lineart, color, shading
