The text of the letter and names of the celebrities that signed it under the cut.
"October 23, 2023
Dear President Biden,
We are heartened by Friday’s release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan and by today’s release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity.
But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered - women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.
Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group’s founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza.
We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages.
We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.

CAA Drops Kanye West as a Client, MRC Scraps Completed Documentary

CAA Drops Kanye West as a Client, MRC Scraps Completed Documentary
Walker
As the backlash against Kanye West for his antisemitic comments continues, the Los Angeles Times reports that he’s been dropped by Creative Artists Agency, one of the biggest talent agencies in the entertainment business. He had previously been represented by CAA since 2016 but was represented by CAA prior to that since early in his career (he temporarily switched to UTA in 2015).
via: Variety
In addition, a completed documentary about West will be shelved in light of his recent antisemitic comments, MRC studio executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley announced in a memo Monday.
“This morning, after discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West. We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform,” they wrote. “Kanye is a producer and sampler of music. Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3,000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.”
They added: “The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism in general is dismaying but not surprising. What is new and sad, is the fear Jews have about speaking out in their own defense.”
In recent weeks, West has made controversial remarks about Jewish people, which led to his Twitter and Instagram accounts being restricted. On Sunday, antisemitic demonstrators gathered on a 405 Freeway overpass in Los Angeles and hung banners praising West.
CAA dropping West and the cancellation of his documentary comes after UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer sent a company-wide memo denouncing antisemitism and calling for a boycott of West Sunday night. West was briefly a client of UTA, but moved back to CAA after a year.
“Regrettably, antisemitism, racism and many forms of hate and intolerance are part of the fabric of society. Generally, they live as a plague eroding the health of communities and are combatted by understanding, tolerance and the general goodness of most people,” Zimmer wrote. “But throughout history some have used their public platform to spew the plague out loud and spread the contagion to dangerous effect. Kanye is the latest to do so, and we’re seeing how his words embolden others to amplify their vile beliefs. I’ve also seen copies of horribly antisemitic flyers left this weekend on the doorsteps of homes in LA neighborhoods, showing that the 405 banners are not the end of it.”

Can Leadership Qualities Be Cultivated Through Life Experiences?
Leadership is often seen as an innate quality, a trait that some individuals possess while others do not. However, the question arises: can leadership qualities be cultivated through life experiences? This article explores the relationship between life experiences and the development of leadership skills, examining various perspectives and research findings.
Understanding Leadership Qualities
Leadership qualities encompass a range of traits as explained by reza satchu family, including:
Communication Skills: The ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others.
Decision-Making: The capability to make informed and timely choices.
Adaptability: The ability to adjust strategies based on changing circumstances.
Integrity: Adherence to ethical principles and values.
These qualities are essential for effective leadership in various contexts, from corporate environments to community organizations.
The Role of Life Experiences
1. Learning from Challenges
Life experiences, particularly challenging ones, can significantly contribute to the cultivation of leadership qualities. Overcoming adversity often fosters resilience, a crucial trait for leaders. For instance, individuals who face and navigate difficult situations may develop better problem-solving skills and a stronger sense of empathy, as they understand the struggles of others.
2. Exposure to Diverse Perspectives
Engaging with diverse groups of people can enhance a leader's ability to communicate and connect with others. Life experiences that involve collaboration in multicultural settings or teamwork in varied environments can improve interpersonal skills and broaden one’s understanding of different viewpoints. This exposure is vital for leaders who must navigate complex social dynamics.
3. Mentorship and Role Models
Having mentors or role models can significantly influence the development of leadership qualities. Learning from the experiences of others provides valuable insights into effective leadership practices. Mentorship relationships often encourage individuals to reflect on their own experiences and identify areas for growth.
4. Continuous Learning and Adaptation
Leaders who embrace lifelong learning tend to cultivate their leadership qualities more effectively. Life experiences that promote continuous education—whether through formal training, workshops, or self-directed learning—allow individuals to refine their skills and adapt to new challenges. This adaptability is a hallmark of effective leadership.
Research Findings
Studies in organizational behavior and psychology suggest that leadership qualities can indeed be developed over time. Research indicates that individuals who actively seek out growth opportunities, such as leadership training programs or volunteer experiences, often demonstrate enhanced leadership capabilities. Furthermore, a study published in the Journal of Leadership Studies found that experiential learning significantly impacts the development of leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of real-world application.
Conclusion
In conclusion, leadership qualities can be cultivated through life experiences. Challenges, exposure to diverse perspectives, mentorship, and a commitment to continuous learning all play critical roles in shaping effective leaders. While some individuals may possess innate leadership traits, the ability to develop these qualities is accessible to anyone willing to learn and grow through their experiences. Embracing life's challenges and opportunities can lead to the emergence of strong, capable leaders who can inspire and guide others.

The move comes during a period of realignment as the company’s new owners, Valence Media, arrange properties including the media brands as well as Media Rights Capital, Dick Clark Productions and a stake in A24. Valence co-CEOs Asif Satchu and Modi Wiczyk announced Amato’s departure this morning, saying a search is under way for his replacement.
While a broader restructuring has been ongoing this year at Valence and its properties, the timing of Amato’s departure may not have been entirely accidental. Amato had recently faced criticism from editorial staffers, especially at Billboard, for allegedly interfering with the publication of several stories outlining sexual misconduct claims against his music industry associates. Charlie Walk, the former president of Republic Records who was ousted as a judge on Fox’s reality show The Four, after allegations of sexual harassment, was reportedly one subject of #MeToo stories Amato is said to have squelched before their publication.
Amato has served as co-president of the media company since 2014 and was given the title of CEO in 2017. Along with THR and Billboard, the group also owns music-oriented sites such as Spin, Vibe and Stereogum.

got a spike of inspiration and redid my map of my book world! colors dont correlate with climates, i just did them loosely
Lore under the cut!
Saturnia: The largest island, and considering the only continent, of Cosmotalia. It’s host to a wide variety of climates, peoples and cultures and is the main location of my books.
Unwanted Isle: A small island off the northern coast of Saturnia, it is host to a large amount of spatial, temporal and magical anomalies making it so no one lives there permanently.
Galaxy Archipelago: A large archipelago of tiny islands east of Saturnia, it’s said to be the kind of place you go when you need to disappear.
The Lost Isle: A island with a large, crumbling castle on it with an unknown origin. As a result, no one dares explore it out of fear of why that may be.
Pheona: A large cluster of tall islands with sheer cliffs off the west coast of Saturnia. As a result, the inhabitants use a wide variety of methods of flight and other ways to traverse the cliffs. They enjoy a trading agreement with west Saturnia.
Brink: A harsh cold island dominated by cliffs and cold climates. While some live on the surface, they are ignorant to a whole other society that lives in the caves and tunnels under the surface.
Heathbed: A string of forested, mountained islands to the north, it is host to many small lakes and rivers that wind through the mountains. Many who live there are very spiritual and as a result, some travel there to “find themselves”.
Lucerna: Known as “The Island of Light”, there is a vast amount of cities, towns and communities here. The inhabitants enjoy an advanced knowledge of technology due to the ruins of some ancient civilization that once lived there.
Dracana: The birthplace of dragons and still home to many, Dracana is full of mountains, forests and caves. Even dragons who live off-island return as a form of honor to their ancestors.
Pawwni: A relatively isolated island of mountains, forests and lakes. The people who live here enjoy trade with eastern Saturnia.
Satchu: A tropical and volcanic island some say was ripped off Saturnia by the Sentinels due to the erratic god who lived in that land. Phenomena: Saturnian Ink
Ink is a naturally occurring substance in Saturnia which is formed in the Inketch Death, the Ebony Desolation and the Inkine Rocks. Outside of Saturnia, it can be found at Ebonitz and in the Inkine Fangs at Satchupitchupalachu. It is a black, thick liquid substance that smells bittersweet. It's been described as smelling of sugar syrup and bitter herbs. It tastes just as bittersweet and if ingested in its base state, it is mildly poisonous, causing nausea and vomiting. It takes an extremely long time to dry and when it does, its in a powdery consistency. Curiously, pools of it never dry. It is also highly flammable, just like plant-based inks.
Ink is uniquely magical in that its properties are determined by intent. No intent makes its mildly poisonous as it does not alter its base state. Due to this, in early history it was expected to be poisonous and thus, its good properties were not found. It was used with bad intentions usually, causing it to have various effects. The wielder can give it to another in which it will be extremely poisonous, enough to bring down a full-grown dragon within minutes. It can also give one who ingests it with foul intentions raw strength and power as well as a poisonous bite. Dangerous side effects can include weakness, blindness, and in rare cases, mutations. With prolonged regular ingestion, it can cause the body and mind to break down and eventually die. Magicians on the isle of Satchupitchupalachu use it in similar ways, either to whip themselves into a frenzy or to feel closer to their god Damnatio.
However, it was soon discovered to have beneficial effects. As the story goes, a healer accidentally ingested it and discovering this, she frantically hoped she'd throw it off, as there was no know antidote for its poisonous effects. When she suffered no ill effects, she grew curious and began experimenting with it, first by itself then with healing herbs. What she found is with a truly good intention, it can be a potent healing item, boosting what its paired with. Despite its potency however, it's treated as a last resort due to how unpredictable it can be.
Due to all these factors, its only used by healers or magicians and is only valuable among them. It has been considered for using as writing ink but due to how it dries, it was decided unfit for use in traditional plant-based inks. When stored, its in vials at room temperature.
While it is naturally occurring, no one knows what exactly it is. It obviously has a different origin than plant-based inks and oil. Everyone agrees it is connected with shapeshifters and Inketch, though how is highly debated. Some believe it is the blood of the Serpent and other believe it's the blood of Saturnia itself, citing the Inkine Rocks ( where the peninsula of Satchu was ripped away ) and the Inketch Death ( where the Serpent burrowed into the earth ).

Kanye West: completed documentary shelved as talent agency drops star
Antisemitic comments from US rapper has led to further industry backlash, as film is dropped and major talent agency CAA cuts ties
18:20 UTC Monday, 24 October 2022
A completed documentary about Kanye West, also known as Ye, has been scrapped amid concern and industry backlash over the rapper’s string of antisemitic statements in recent weeks.
“This morning, after discussion with our film-makers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West,” the co-leaders of film and television studio MRC – Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley – wrote in a statement on Monday. “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform.”

The company is the latest to cut ties with West after the rapper has publicized antisemitic views first made during an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson earlier this month.
The rapper’s longtime talent agency CAA has stopped representing the artist in the past month, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Agency heads Ari Emanuel of Endeavor, Bob Gersh and UTA’s Jeremy Zimmer have all called for Hollywood companies to sever working relationships with West. “We can’t support hate speech, bigotry or antisemitism. Please support the boycott of Kanye West,” Zimmer wrote in a company-wide email.
West tweeted on 8 October that he was going to go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” misusing the military alert term Defcon, and posted that “you guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” seemingly in reference to the Jewish people. Twitter removed the posts and suspended West’s account.
West doubled down on his views during an unaired appearance on the talk show The Shop: Uninterrupted, which pulled the episode because West “used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes,” co-host Maverick Carter told Andscape.
The fashion house Balenciaga also severed tied with West following an appearance last week on the Drink Champs podcast. During the 45-minute conversation, West floated a litany of antisemitic conspiracy theories and claimed George Floyd was not killed by Minneapolis police but instead died of a fentanyl overdose. Floyd’s daughter Roxie Washington has since filed a $250m lawsuit against West for defamation.
Pressure has mounted on sportswear company Adidas to also separate from West, which had already put their business relationship with West “under review” following his appearance in a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt during Paris fashion seek. West then told the Drink Champs podcast: “I can literally say antisemitic shit, and they can’t drop me … I can say antisemitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?”
The comments prompted the Anti-Defamation League to publicly call on Adidas to end its business with West: “In light of Kanye West’s increasingly strident antisemitic remarks over the past few weeks, we were disturbed to learn that Adidas plans to continue to release new products from his Yeezy brand without any seeming acknowledgment of the controversy surrounding his most recent remarks,” a statement said.
“We urge Adidas to reconsider supporting the Ye product line and to issue a statement making clear that the Adidas company and community has no tolerance whatsoever for antisemitism.”
Over the weekend, several Los Angeles city officials condemned demonstrations in support of West’s antisemitic comments, in which a small group of people made the Nazi salute by a freeway and held signs encouraging drivers to “honk if you know” alongside “Kanye is right about the Jews”.
“We condemn this weekend’s antisemitic incidents,” Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted. “Jewish Angelenos should always feel safe. There is no place for discrimination or prejudice in Los Angeles. And we will never back down from the fight to expose and eliminate it.”
