As far as I'm concerned everything about Adam in the original Saw script is canon. I don't care that a lot of it didn't make the final cut. The movie doesn't really contradict his original characterization as much as it just... left most of it out. It treats Adam more like a plot device while the original script treated him more like a character.

(I feel the exact opposite about Lawrence though. Cary singlehandedly makes that character likeable to me lmao)

Some cool details I noticed in the Saw (2004) script:

Amanda’s name was Amanda Denlon and she was supposed to work in the hospital.

DIANA WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A POKÉMON QUILT AND WE WERE ROBBED.

Sing honestly got of really easy in the movie with the shotgun trap compared to the odd metal trap that folded in half.

John slits Tapps throat and kills his partner and then calls him a virgin

Adams character is so much sadder in the script (he wanted to be a vet 😔😔😔😔)

Tell me why John was naked on the bathroom floor???

Alison has a unique laugh, and laughs at a lot of things which Lawrence seems to be annoyed with.

I really love how in the OG Saw 2004 script they describe Lawrence as being like

“A handsome dignified important looking older man”

And for Adam they just absolutely fucking COOK him for no reason like

“Oh and the younger one looks like an UGLY ASS DROWNED RAT who is dressed like a GRUNGY LOSER”
