Since yesterday was #NationalSelfieDay. Snuck in the selfie mode camera during worship with this new, innovative technology called a "smart phone." Just like Christmas, don't forget that jesus is the reason for the season! It's not about easter bunny and the easter eggs (even though chocolate is always good 😉). The world tries to take Jesus out of everything, but I pray this easter that people would be reminded of the goodness of God. That he sent his only son to die for us on the cross to take away our sin so we could live in freedom! We celebrate the resurrection that he not only died but rose again on the third day. Defeating death so we can have eternal life. Open your eyes and enter the narrow gate that leads to life. This verse is not only for non christians but christians also. Christians that maybe have found eternal life but haven't found that peace and abundance here on earth. Let me tell you that if you are living stressed everyday, you're not living God's way and maybe not putting your relationship with God first. If you're not doing daily quiet times PLEASE  do it! It will actually change your whole life! Preferably in the morning but start off with whenever you are comfortable. Also second life tip is, share your faith! Washed Clean

I can move forward today in my life because I am not being weighed down by my past. God demands complete dependence on him. I get frustrated at this because I want control. I have a ton of unsatisfied desires. Something that I have to remember is that God is not here to make me feel better or fix everything. Instead, he is here to love me which means he will put problems and pain in my life to lead me to him. If I never experienced deep pain, I would have never pursued him. Pain is what leads me to spiritual growth. 

I have a horrible past. I have done terrible things. Jesus does not condemn me for these things. Instead he says, “I do not condemn you, go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8:11)

I operate under an understanding that I have never met God’s great standard. In everything I do, I fall short of the glory of God. Even at my best, my motives are mixed. Not even for a moment have I achieved perfection. But that is not how God sees me. Jesus died so that I did not have to continue being that way. No matter what I do, I cannot earn his love. All I can do is accept it. He created me in his image and therefor a reflection of himself. 

When I allowed Jesus into my life, everything changed. Everything. The amazing thing is that I did not become a different person. Sin is what changes me into a different person. Jesus allows me to be the person that I was created to be. All the horrible things I have done are forgiven, like they have never happened. I do not have to operate under an overwhelming sense of debt that I could never repay. My chains are gone, and I can now be free to live and to love. 

Satan’s lie is that I am too far gone and that there is not forgiveness for me but the Bible says different: 

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The gospel makes absolutely no sense. We are unconditionally loved and sought after by The Creator of the universe. I’ve been learning so much about life; if you read the blog posts below. I’ve been growing, I’ve been refined.

Then I did coke.

I am 100% attracted to the things of this world. I love drinking, smoking, coke apparently, partying, being loved by friends, dressing cute, and so much more. But I am called to things so much higher. God of the universe has called me higher.  My heart is broken. I don’t understand the gospel. But I pray that one day I might. I mess up, constantly. Yet Jesus loves me the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. When I’m seeking Him, when I’m cursing Him. He loves me the same. When I mess up, He says it’s okay. Get back up, let’s go. My price has been paid, my punishment has been taken from me. Thank you for allowing me to live a life of freedom and not in shame or guilt. Thank you for loving me in a way that I can’t even come close to fathoming.  Who am I to disobey You. God. You are.  You seek me, You love me, You save me daily. I can’t understand, It doesn’t make sense. It is beautiful. I’m sorry. I love You. Help me, because I can’t do it without You.
