#anyone who says it isn't because of the issues with the subculture like the glorification of eds depression self harm and substance abuse#have never actually looked at the behavior of the original 00s scene kiddos lmao#like. this is just a mishmash of all of the current alternative scenes with its own odd individual aspects just like scene was#scene took aspects of fashion from hardcore fans and ravers#took hair and makeup and music from emos and the metalcore scene#ekids do the same shit but it's just goth emo and hip hop#it's literally just teenage scene phases in a different font for a different decade
