Last night's second attempt with the August 2022 #ScrawlrBox. Using oil pastels is akin to trying to create art with lipstick and is not exactly ideal for little details so I wanted to see if I could paint an animal. After putting it off for a week because oil pastels are scary, here is my first attempt with the August 2022 #ScrawlrBox I went through a surprising amount of the white pastel stick and I'm not sure how to store the resulting painting so it doesn't contaminate all other things that come near it. Another play with the Sennelier oil pastels from the August 2022 #ScrawlrBox. I've surprised myself in that I'm actually enjoying this medium, despite its messy, non drying nature. So much so, that I might have to give other (cheaper) brands a whirl.
