Gil spoilers under the cut
Wouldn't it be soooo funny if mc died in her sleep a few years after her and gilbert got together. Like here is a man constantly ill and convinced he'll die first, only to wake up and be faced with the fact that it's not true at all anymore haha. Having a breakdown because he was 'betrayed' yet again, going on a warpath now because nothing matters anymore....
By funny i mean im yelling into my pillow

Tianlang-jun really is the guy of all time. He's a DILF. He's a MILF. He's a manic pixie girl, and a shrewd bastard. He's an aspiring bimbo. A babygirl. He's a fujoshi. A daddy. He swoops you off your feet with a wink in one moment, then falls into your arms with a giggle and a hair twirl the next. He's a guy, just a little guy, and also it's his birthday! He will fuck you up. He runs the economy, but will ask his wife to explain how it works to him. He's the seme of the ukes, as well as the uke of the semes. He is the Gomez and the Morticia. I desire him so very carnally.

I have a lot of thoughts. I think for 2024 I don't want to be around people who believe writing and fandoms are a competition. I am tired of having to triple check and guess at peoples intentions. I am tired of being wary of people.
Regardless, to an extent, you have to be wary with everyone, but I am tired of it tipping over into a paranoia. I think a lot of people have lost the meaning of fandom. That, or I have a very clearly different definition.
I view fandom as a fun hobby. An outlet. I like treating everyone equally. I imagine us all in a space where we are on equal ground. We are free to talk to whoever unless there has been a block in place or a clear boundry expressed.
We share 'food' (fanfics, fanart, idle thoughts, fun convos, etc) for the sake of Sharing. Not for the sake of being better than one another. Not for the sake of being 'the best' at xyz. We may feel bad when our 'food' doesn't seem as well liked as others, but thats not the others fault. Not even our fault. Some people may have just ate when we put our food out. Maybe some people hadn't even arrived yet. But its there waiting.
We have our friends. Our friends have their friends. We just co-exist.
I don't compare. I don't look at my masterlist, all my notes, and heave sighs that its smaller than so and sos. I don't laugh when its bigger than others. I look at it as an archive for what I was able to do this year.
I do not view people as their follower counts. I don't base my actions towards people around numbers. I base my actions towards others on how they have treated me, my friends, or others. I don't think of this as a numbers game. I don't think of this as something to 'win' at.
I can tell you that I used to, years before I joined cyb*rd fandoms. I can tell you I fell for people coaching me on how to 'behave' in fandoms, that I should only focus on numbers, not people. I can tell you it made me miserable. Made my love for writing and similar take a heavy hit. That it felt fine at first, until I realized viewing people as a number meant thats all they viewed me as. Another step towards some bullshit about 'popularity'.
Why do we want faceless numbers to be more important than genuine connection with others. Why do we make faceless numbers into ammo to use against others. It gives me a headache. I am tired of trying to make human connections based off of a love of a shared hobby only to realize, that oh. They love the 15 minutes of fame, not those who surround them. That oh, this is not made with the love for sharing creation, this was made for views. For clicks. For 'popularity'. I am tired.

On a scale of Chang Geng to Luo Binghe, how well does your teenage protagonist cope with the realization that he has a massive thing for the guy that's basically raising him?

List of some movies that I enjoy and the books they’re based on which often have different vibes than the movie but both are equally good in different ways
Howl’s Moving Castle: The book is titled the same but has very different vibes (movie is more whimsical fantasy while book feels more like realistic fantasy if that makes sense) and also has two companion books in which Howl and Sophie make appearances! Book by Dianna Wynne Jones
Kiki’s Delivery Service: The book is titled the same but again very different vibes (Movie Kiki deals with depression and losing your passion and Book Kiki is cute little witch dealing with people’s problems in cute little witch ways) Book by Eiko Kadono
Stardust: Book titled the same but different vibes (movie is intense and life threatening adventures, book is more fun travel adventures and much slower paced) Book by Neil Gaiman
The Secret of Moonacre: The book is titled The Little White Horse (similar to Stardust the book is a lot slower paced and less life threatening adventures but just as fun and interesting as well as a lot of characters have more depth to them than in the movie) Book by Elizabeth Goudge
The Last Unicorn: Book has same name (from what I remember the book is almost word for word exactly like the movie) Book by Peter S Beagle
Ella Enchanted: Book has the same name (ok this one is a little more controversial. In my opinion the book has a lot more depth and is a lot more interesting in the world building and characters, and the movie is a horrible adaptation. But if you look at the movie as a completely separate thing it is still enjoyable and has fun songs and is a classic from my childhood) Book by Gail Carson Levine
Mary and the Witch’s Flower: The book is titled The Little Broomstick (I have yet to read it but I have just checked it out so I will make sure to update this once I’ve read it! I expect the book will probably have better world building as the movie was fun but didn’t have time to go into depth and the mechanics of the witch’s world) Book by Mary Stewart
Earwig and the Witch: Book titled the same (I also have yet to read this book but have just checked it out and will update later. I think it’ll probably be similar to what I expect with the Little Broomstick where it will probably show a more developed world) Book by Dianna Wynne Jones
Ronja the Robber’s Daughter: Technically not a movie but a tv series. Book has the same name (I also haven’t read it but have just checked it out and will update but I think the show was very well done story wise though the animation wasn’t my favorite and I expect that it probably followed the book fairly closely) Book by Astrid Lindgren
Avalon High: Book has same name and similar plot but characters are switched around (this is actually one where I like the movie a lot better. I feel like the book is extremely predictable and does exactly what you expect to happen while the movie switches it up in a fun way that I feel like also makes sense and isn’t just doing it for the shock factor) Book by Meg Cabot
Tales From Earthsea: One book from the Earthsea Cycle has the same name (I’ve only read the first two books and so technically haven’t gotten to the book that the movie has been adapted from but it’s on my list and I will update once I eventually get to it. So essentially I’ve read the prequels that lead up to the events in the movie and I’ve heard the movie is vaguely different but has similar themes and plot points to the book) Books by Ursula K Le Guin
That’s all I can think of for now but if you have any suggestions to add let me know and I’ll see if I’ve watched the movie and read the books and if so I’ll make an addition to this post!

i’m picking at semantics, but i think that while yue qingyuan protects shen jiu, he doesn’t really defend him.
he’ll protect shen jiu from consequences, but he won’t dispute the charges made against him to begin with. when others make unsavory accusations about shen jiu, yqy never overtly disagrees with them.
and i’m not sure if this is because he doesn’t disagree, or if he believes there’s no point in trying to disagree, or if he thinks it just doesn’t matter what he thinks, because what he does in response would be the same any which way—he will always, unconditionally protect sj.
but i think that’s a major contributing factor in why their relationship is as fucked up as it is—sj desperately needs someone to see something good in him. someone who believes he isn’t inherently bad.
but yqy, for reasons still yet unclear, isn’t able to do that—not in a way sj can recognize, at least. and the worst part is that yqy probably thinks that unconditional devotion is what sj wants, when what it’s actually doing is refusing to give sj closure on what yqy actually thinks of him.
if you need to be told that you are not bad, being told “good or bad, i will support you no matter what” is like the anti-validation.
yqy wants to provide unconditional support, but what sj needs is to know that there’s something worth supporting.

my last post about what I think happens in svsss based solely on tumblr posts kinda blew up so here's what I've learned in the past few days:
Seeing a lot of debate on whether or not Airplane counts as a villain & the consensus seems to be "Well, he's not evil but. This is technically all his fault" so I'm calling that one a draw.
There's a character named "Cucumber"????? And another named "Six Balls." I have zero context for this. What happened to balls one through five?
There are female characters and they comprise a rich rpf fic writing community, possibly revolving around the demon lord?
The main character dies multiple times (something about choking on a dumpling???)
Airplane somehow got "transmigrated" (which is similar to getting isekai'd?) into his own story & now he's a twink. Entirely unclear if this was on purpose or not. He & Mobei Jun get married.
Airplane & the main character are besties but they also hate each other. Or they desire each other carnally idk
The demon lord/puppy dog keeps trying to kill God but his husband does not support his endeavors :(

I love how shen qingqiu is always calling binghe a crybaby (rightfully so) and yet the ONE time binghe even slightly raises his voice at him shen qingqiu immediately bursts into tears
