As an indigenous little lad, I decided to take a whack at redesigning the hero Native from BNHA. Because as someone who’s native… I’m not super fond of his character.

So he’s a two-spirit queer inuit/japanese hero who is a tad short. His quirk is now spotted seal or just seal which gives him seal capabilities. This mostly influences his navigation which is really good. That would explain why he is found with Stain. Maybe he was tracking him down. I could also give him angst with the HPSC.. perhaps.. he has a side nose ring and wants tattoos and has cool top surgery scars and he’s stoic and cool but actually shy (like a seal) and a little awkward. He’s well meaning and very close with his family but pretty closed off apart from that. He’s protective over kids and is pretty against kids experiencing the horrors of heroes work methinks.

Native had nothing going for him at all except a dash of cultural appropriation. Hopefully this brings some culture to him.

Pro hero Native redesign! Transmasculine Two-Spirit inuk hero married to a guy in a space themed idol group who I will be drawing a reference for soon.

He’s a cozy guy and a little awkward but very loving. He’s an introvert. He has a baby at some point. Silly guy. Feel free to draw him if you like… I would be very happy. I think native is a wild pro hero design and I’m not super fond of it… so have Sedna to replace him. Because dear god..

I created this piece for truth and reconciliation day though it became a great opportunity for me to explore cultural customs of both mine and other indigenous cultures and brought me peace. The sentiment online regarding that day was rancid. I did not realize there were deniers of my families experience. This piece was made with strength and I hope I conveyed that. Im able to create art like this because of my family who lived in spite of their horrid situations. They were warriors.

This was an exploration of North Stars home life/life outside of Tokoyami. Her sibling and dad died in the incident tm and is how she got her scars. Her mother is Russian and where she gets her accent. North is the oldest of the four with Moira as the youngest. Moira is also the only one with children. The Nightingale bloodline continues due to her.

On the left I just had to illustrate Saeran/Sedna and Chihiro just so that I could draw baby Ichiro. Though I should have drawn this in a specific timeline… oh well.. it is random and baby Ichiro (kinda… he’s like 6-8)

I hope this piece could capture the love in my heart for mine and other cultures as well as my love for North Star and her lore. The silly ever + her little bird sidekick Tokoyami I love them. I wanted to include Tokoyami in this piece but it was already massive and overwhelming lmao.

Chihiro and Saeran are the silliest couple ever because Hiro is this beautiful tall gay idol, an absolute charmer, girls love him, guys love him, gays love him. He is warm and wears autumn cologne and seems really vain but he’s not. He’s just confident. He cares for his group and tends to calm down little spats within their group. Saeran comes off stoic, he’s actually just awkward. He’s a bit of a worry-wart and cares deeply for his family. He’s anxious about new people though falls so hard for Hiro. I have no idea how I want them to meet. I’m thinking a dating app.. then they have an awkward little ‘I’m a pro hero/I’m an idol’ reveal. Silly…

Chihiro Mizushima. Also known as Pluto, one of the 7 members of Cosmic 7, a J-Pop idol group, very popular with the young hero generation.

Together with his group, (leader) Astroid, Saturn, Solaris, Comet, Nebula, and Eclipse, Cosmic 7 produces interesting songs as well as fan conventions, interviews, hero collabs, and of course concerts.

So here’s Pluto. He’s a glamorous lad who loves his husband and his baby. He’s very silly. Ochaco loves Cosmic 7. So does North Star. So does Dark Shadow. They’re very popular

Sedna’s husband, Chihiro, also known as Pluto, is apart of a J-Pop idol group boy band called Cosmic 7. Uraraka is a big fan of them because space vibes. She loves it. Toga is a fan too. They go to concerts together.
