Social medias were never a stable, healthy environment and it has gotten consistently worse in the past few years but I really think that the toxic brew of things that never should have been normalised becoming more and more accepted + covid 19 + generalised social and political instability has turned it from toxic to straight up poisonous in a way that I find genuinely concerning.

I absolutely don't think I have the strenght to stay completely away from them forever but I want to spent at least the next few weeks focusing on other things before I completely lose my faith in humanity. See ya!

#like i've been online since about 2007 and almost constantly online since about 2011 #i saw a lot of shit in 15 years + but honestly...i really think we've reached a peak lately #people have gotten wayyyyy too comfortable playing judge jury and executioner and i find it horrifying #like...do you guys realise that even people who did bad shit still have rights?#seeing people talk about prisonners rights and then try to dox people over fandom crime is truly disturbing to me #so yeah i'm gonna try to stay away from the internet for a while #it may not be much #because while i hesitate to use the word 'addiction' i certainly struggle with staying away from tumblr #but i'm gonna try for my own well being #once again...see ya!
