Possibly one of my favourite photos I’ve taken in 2018 for the sheer emotion it stirs in me. This is Candrew, and he was our tracker in Botswana where mum and I stayed for three nights at the incredible &Beyond Nxabega Camp. Why trackers? In the Okavango Delta there are year-round water sources, so guides can’t rely on finding animals at dedicated water holes. Each game drive therefore goes out with both a guide and a tracker and it’s the trackers job to literally track the animals from the front of the vehicle. I can honestly say this was the… Possibly one of my favourite photos I’ve taken in 2018 for the sheer emotion it stirs in me. I can honestly say this was the best game driving I’ve ever experienced and I attribute a lot of that to the passion of Candrew and our driver TT. &Beyond just might be my new favourite luxury travel brand! We saw leopard, lions and their cubs, wild dogs, baby hyenas and everything in between. I can’t wait to share more and ... I’ve seriously tried to take a photo of a kingfisher around the world the whole time I’ve been into photography and never gotten close, they’re so skittish. However, in the Okavango Delta it’s so easy because there is wildlife EVERYWHERE! This is from the time we went out on the water, instead of for a game drive, and mum was totally frothing on being IN the delta! ️️ And the best part of our little trip out on the water? While I was distracted taking photos the boys (Candrew and TT) secretly set up a full bar on the boat… I’ve seriously tried to take a photo of a kingfisher around the world the whole time I’ve been into photography and never gotten close, they’re so skittish. This was one of the best wildlife experiences that I’ve ever had, and it all came down to the incredible team at &Beyond Nxabega in Botswana. Throughout all of my experience shooting in safari I’ve always wanted to see a leopard and I mentioned this to my guide and tracker when I arrived in the Delta. With their extended network of trackers, personal skills and profound knowledge of the area they set to work and on day 2 it happened! We watched this beautiful girl eat a baby warthog from top to tail before prowling around at sunset! I literally… This was one of the best wildlife experiences that I’ve ever had, and it all came down to the incredible team at &Beyond Nxabega in Botswana. I’ve got a tonne or editing to do from Botswana but definitely more to share down the track. Thank you so much for having me &Beyond, you are truly an incredible brand that provides people with lifetime memories. ️️ @AndBeyondTravel @AndBeyondNxabega . . . . . #SeeWhatLiesBeyond #TravelAndBeyond #AmdBeyondNxabega #OkavangoDelta #Botswana #ILoveBotswana #WildlifeTracker #YourShotPhotographer #Leopard This was one of the best wildlife experiences that I’ve ever had, and it all came down to the incredible team at &Beyond Nxabega in Botswana.
