3 yrs ago i wrote a Descendents one shot. i am now over 100k words into a series that was never supposed to be more than 150k words. I'm less than 1/4 of the way through the overarching story i wanted to tell.

it takes me forever to update and im probably going to be in my 40s when i finish but i will finish this series including the other two major stories I wanted to write for it!!! i don't care if the fandom dies around me while im left writing for noone but myself and the rats that infest my self created prison- i will write the story i wanted to tell!! i don't care if ppl think it's stupid or cringy that i'm putting all this effort into a fanfic of a literal DCOM- i saw potential in the story and i wanted to explore it even if i couldn't do it well. i put work into exploring these ideas and it taught me how to be a better writer. even if this story seems stupid or pointless to other ppl it means alot to me, and i'm going to finish it, even if it takes me till my deathbed

...i do still feel bad about how long it takes me to update tho.

#yes this is about my keep them close series #yes i am cringe #semi related would anyone be intrested in hearing about the process of how i write this story and some of the reasons it's taking so long?#some of the reasons are just basic i have real life and am disabled #but some have to do with my poor orginization skills i'll be honest #like. there is so much to this story that i keep alot of notes. but those notes are not orginized.#even when i try to orginize them i end up accidentally remaking them #also i lowkey forget half the freaking scenes i wrote bc i literally wrote them years ago and when i try to re-read them i get distracted #by trying to make them better #this is part of the problem of like not having everything finished before hand i guess #but if i waited to post until it was done i don't think i'd ever actually finish it lmao
