sage - “what ‘medium’ of art (poetry, music, fiction, paintings, statues etc.) is the most touching to you? why do you think that is?”

oehh this one is rlly interesting! for me it’s either music or paintings, mainly bcs you don’t have to be good at a certain language to understand the meaning of both of these art mediums. like with music for example, even if you don’t know what the lyrics mean, you can still grasp some kind of idea what the song is about by the melody and beats. it also gives you the chance to create your own meaning behind the song bcs of the way you chose to interpret it!

same goes for paintings, although some of us may find it difficult to find any meaning behind a painting, saying stuff like ‘i’ve never studied art and i only see lines’. well that may be true, i’d like to think about the bigger picture or more like what the artist wants to convey and how i interpret it myself. for example one of my fave painter is Van Gogh and when i went to the Van Gogh museum I felt fascinated but also sad to see his art process throughout the years. like at the beginning stages he used so much colors and his art pieces were vibrant and lively, but then as the years go by and he’s struggling with his mental illness and just life in general you see it reflect in his work. from being lively and colorful to gloomy and dark and idk that always got stuck with me until this day

chamomile - “what kind of things do you like receiving as gifts?”

hehehe as you may know by now, i rather gift others something than receiving. it’s not that i don’t appreciate the gesture, i just feel extremely guilty and i can’t help but think ‘why would they spend money and time on me?’. but yea, let’s not get all sentimental now hehe. the thing i do love to receive are either flowers (especially when someone points out why they picked the flowers they gift me) or a letter (be it handwritten or typed out).

i just love the idea that someone took the time to write out anything they have in mind on paper and entrust to give it to me to read. the act of writing a letter for someone is so pure and touching to me, it never cease to make me feel loved. fun fact: i made all my friends write me a letter for my bday two years ago, knowing that they don’t like to write out their thoughts, but the fact that they still did made me bawl my eyes out. one of my friends made a whole booklet with lil doodles and the other typed out his letter on an old typing machine 🥺

palm tree - “do you have a fictional villain you shouldn’t like but love regardless?”

hmm,,, i usually don’t fall for the villains. not by choice, but it just doesn’t happen often so i had to think about this one dhdvdn 🤔 i think maybe getō? technically he’s a villain right? although he did some real fucked up shit, i also feel for him and the kind of weight he put on himself mentally to the point of losing himself and his initial morals. he just has a special place in my heart + he’s hot 🥴

no but fr i don’t have that many secrets *i know, shocking hahaha*, but one secret of mine is that i talk a lot to inanimate objects (most of the time without knowing). one time i was trying to vacuum something and it just wouldn’t work, so my mom caught me saying: “u have literally one job. gosh, u would be the worse slut” asdfghkl

🔪 - scariest/creepiest experience?

oh honey, buckle up, cause i’m about to tell u a lil story from when i visited the moluccan (indonesia). i went to a particular fort, called: “benteng duurstede”. it’s a 17th century colonial dutch fort (i’ll put a pic down here that i took the day after, u’ll know why in a sec). my family and i wanted to visit this fort because of the rich history. however, when we entered the fort, i wasn’t able to take any good pics. all of them came out blurry or black, yet my family didn’t have this problem. i kept trying, but literally nothing worked. when we were on our way back home, i checked out the failed pics i took so i could delete them, but on one of them u could see an orange face and it freaked me out so much that i asked my nephew to delete it for me. my mom told me as a joke that all these things only happened to me, because i’m the only one in the fam who is half indonesian and half dutch and in the dutch culture it is common to contact the person ur visiting beforehand. i ofc didn’t do that, cause it’s a fort yk. i didn’t saw any use in it. i came back the other day and i was like ‘let’s ask for permission to enter this time’ and u guessed it, all the pictures i took that day were perfectly fine 💀

hahaha i have quite a lot, but these are the most common ones my mom and irl friends have pointed out a lot !

1. i poke out my tongue a bit when i’m really concentrating, like when i’m: writing, drawing or even when i take a test

2. when i’m eating an meal and i don’t like a particular ingredient, like for example: mushrooms, i will literally pick every single mushroom with my chopsticks and put it on the plate of my mom or my friends without saying anything. like at this point they’re all used to it, but at first they looked at me weirdly 😂

3. i tend to daydream a lot and i made a habit out of holding onto the sleeve of the shirt/jacket my friends or mom are wearing, so i won’t get lost in crowds. it even came to the point that they would automatically hold my hand/wrist when it’s getting crowded or when we have to cross the road hdbshs

DEFINITELY KOLAK !!!! OMG I JUST EAT IT YESTERDAY AS DESSERT AND I’M STILL THINKING ABOUT IT !!! it’s an indonesian dessert with sweet potato, banana, gula djawa (palm sugar) and coconut milk 🤤

hmm,, good question 🤔 i think ‘gurenge’ by LiSA, but in this case by N.Flying (they actually did a cover hehe) ! don’t get me wrong, i love LiSA, but N.Flying’s cover was more ‘rock’ like and i rlly enjoyed that 😌

hmm, i think i would rather live in a forest with fairies. the oceans scares me shitless, especially since we only know 5% of what lives there asdfghjkl. the forest however, always had a calming effect on me. i used to walk in the forest alone when it would be dark, cause i wanted to clear my head from things that were happening at home (not my smartest idea, cause yk it’s quite dangerous to do that), but the forest made me feel so peaceful and yea. quite weird tbh, but yes i would love to be friends with some cute little forest fairies hahaha (living my own totoro life i guess 😌🌚)
