Part of the enjoyment for me, of entertaining is the “idea” part...I wanted to use some of my French Confit collection for my next luncheon but wanted to get a little bit of my thoughts practiced pre-luncheon ...I went to Whole Foods to see what they had in creams and whites to go with the ochre, mustard and pale yellow in the confit pots...white asparagus, white roses, celery root, white onions, white wax flower and turnips is part of the idea...I did buy some of it to come home to see how it all meshed together...I don’t know about you but sometimes things I dream up look better in the dream than in my actual execution ..I will still add some white/cream florals/vegetables for the luncheon coming up..I do like this tone on tone look ..it’s a little more bland and simple than what I ordinarily do but often times simple can be well appreciated. #deborahgibsondesign #frenchconfitpots #paletellow #ochre #whitevegetables #whiteroses #setuppractice (at Greenville, South Carolina)
