had vague ideas to write part 4 of ‘the 1st hack-anniversary അഥവാ ആണൊരുമ്പെട്ടാൽ ’ and hope i may write down the thoughts in time for Johan’s freezer-to-uterus transfer…?! clicked a few pictures the other day, mainly to be able to show my son some day that I weighed 87 lbs around the time I was preparing to have him. if he is introverted-disabled like me, i would share the story of how i was hack-broadcasted and ended up socializing nonstop for a year, and lost 30+ pounds in body weight. but if he is more of a people-person, i would reconsider sharing the story, as it may not sound funny then and he might just dismiss me as strange, and I might feel silly for even having bothered to share my thoughts.

i have been watching this series on HBO ‘big little lies’ revolving around the lives of 5-6 women. casting list is — Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Poorna Jagnnathan, Shailene Woodley… Shailene plays a victim-of-rape mother raising a 5 yo son. Jane and Ziggi. for no special reason, the other day i imagined Johan and me like that, being a mother and son in a respectful, healthy relationship. how lovely would it be if when Johan grows up he does not end up being an ignoramus, narrow minded misogynist, and he cares enough, on his own, to see life as more than that? and we are not clingy with each other even if he has any social disability and maybe has intense sensory experiences around people, we still overcome that, and he does not get too comfortable being a raja-beta, yet we still get each other and try to be there for the other if needed? and he does not emulate middle-middle class children, boys and girls, as in blissful patriarchal set ups around us, the ones who take mothers for granted; my mother is objectively an interesting woman, feel fortunate that I grew up around her. i found myself cricket-researching the other day so i could add details to the short story I have in mind on her — Saroja’s Shashtipoorthi. i have always had a tumultuous relation with parents, partly because they could never have me on ‘cruise control’, i was a little more than what they had hoped for. i never did anything on purpose, just couldn’t figure out all the structural-familial norms in time, and kept wrecking relationships because people skills is not my strongest strength, parents or otherwise… which is why i look forward to raising Johan, hoping to having a decent relation with my progeny, and not a relation filled with eternal gaming, but one where we don’t mind genuinely admiring each other, and the times we spend around each other be mostly quality time…with may be 7% drama but surely not more? like Ziggi and Jane. :)

idea A: i never got around to writing on Dany. from GoT. these photos and the blue gown i have on is because of her. i  got the idea after seeing a picture in the album, of my Periyamma in front of the house. so, i have removed my dork glasses, put on some eyeliner which i rarely do, clipped on ear rings and bracelet that i rarely wear, got out of the oversized t-shirt and pyjamas i walk around in, and instead put on the blue gown as a tribute to Dany… my version of Dany, ruler of the kitchen and deck space, in her quiet, introverted corner by the woods. Dany easily is one of the top 10 women characters ever created, still i probably would never have felt a personal attachment to the character if not for Emilia Clarke who played Dany on screen. Clarke is a small-framed woman, and for some reason, i decided to find it empowering, being barely 5 ft tall myself. i am Dany, the one who was said to have gone cuckoo and fascist because she was a Targaryen?! Jon Snow was a Targaryen after all too, why wouldn’t he go cuckoo and fascist instead?  i hope to write more on Daenerys who starts out in life with zero-status and who ends up being default choice for ‘finale villain’.

idea B:  these photos are for my sister DN who gift-sent the purse that I have on me. i blurted out at the time that it was such a waste of money of a gift. i prefer front strap school-bags usually, there are a lot things that i carry around. vomit paper bags, migraine diffuser device, water bottle, vicks vaporub, lemon essence, nausea/pain pills, hand paper towels, small cloth towel because i am prone to nausea when i am anywhere outside the comfort of my room (Invisible Disability, ableist lords and ladies) so i had asked DN at the time— where to am i going to carry this teeny tiny ornamental purse? yet i am thinking to share these photos with her some day (in which i am wearing matching jacket and gown to go with her purse; maybe seeing Leica would make her forget about the gift tiff, the beagle is a charmer just like her), to show that i made an effort to honor her gift even though it may never be the way she wishes… i hope to write more on how my politics have evolved that I can no longer stay a wannabe-Brahmin even for sake of the humor.
