Aside from former Team Rocket, Plasma, etc. Pokémon, have you ever had a Pokémon sent to you that you would describe as truly ‘evil’? If so, how did you deal with them?
Hm, i suppose she wasn’t sent but certainly isn’t good natured. In my trip to Galar recently i came across a rather mean natured Glossifleur, shiny, had probably been subjected to some hard times, but she was actively poisoning campers and travellers who passed by where she lived, faking injury and pretending to be sweet as syrup to get close, before slipping potent toxins into drinking water and food. she’d slip away in the night and leave people and pokemon very sick and injured. I had no choice but to catch her, she was not in any way interested in stopping her behaviour. she now resides on the island, and is still to this day trying to give others a hard time, we have to keep a close eye on her at all hours of the day, and her retraining has been very difficult. she still isn't in any way kind or gentle, and will always try to go back to her old ways.
We find with time and care most “evil” pokemon will find ways to channel their energy into more productive hobbies and activities. Most can be worked with enough to help redirect their natures, but we tend to see them behave this way due to trauma of some kind.
Other than that one grass pokemon, excluding the trauma cases, we have had one Growlithe come to us who had done unspeakable things to an unfortunate child trainer, they lived and died a very difficult life, despite how hard we tried to fight the courts on their behalf, to try to help rehabilitate them. it seemed to have no reason for its aggression, but was classed as too dangerous to be rehomed or re-released.
who knows, maybe more will come our way in the years to come, but they don’t often have an unhappy ending. we try to take in even the ones others have given up on helping.

So what happened to the Growlithe? And Glossifluer? (In other news, I love that my phone recognizes Growlithe as a word in it's dictionary. XD original 151 ftw!)
Well the Growlithe despite all our fighting got put to sleep, seemed far too dangerous to the judge. We laid him to rest in our graveyard by the ocean, his case angered me so much I didn’t let someone else deal with him, he didn’t deserve what went down, wasn’t given a fair chance. He mauled his trainer beyond repair, that was his death sentence sadly. I will not forgive the courts for declaring him unsafe without the chance for rehabilitation, we weren’t given enough time to work with him, and he deserved at least a chance.
As for the glossifleur, she currently resides in our biggest greenhouse, I paired her with my dear Minerva, their shiny nature’s make them actually very good friends, and the lopunny is able to control her temperamental and quite vicious nature with sly words and intelligent manipulation of sorts. We work with her most days to find things that encourage her to NOT poison everything and everyone. She’s got me a few times but I’m pretty sure I got some tolerance to poisons now, dealt with so many Pokemon of that nature I suppose. She is still very much a Pokemon we keep an eye on, her trickery makes her difficult when we have visitors so I tend to get her on the north side of the island to keep the public safe from her ways. She’s adjusting, but still needs a lot of work, and can be very determined in causing others damage. We called her ivy in the end, a Batman refrence to poison ivy, but here’s hoping in time she will learn not to harm others. She seems to have no reason for the behaviour other than she finds it funny, so here we are trying to focus her on something else.

what is the most difficult grass type you've ever had to work with?
Theee come to mind.
The first I met was about 7 or 8 years ago now, a Lucicolo, very old, coat greyed, it’s lillipad like hat had a huge brim on it, carried a gnarled up bit of wood like a walking staff. He gave me quite some trouble, I got brought him by police, apparently he’d been going around robbing people, money, jewellery, shiny items, precious stones. Bit of a magpie. The stash he had accumulated was returned, but he came to us in a state, pond weed ridden, laden down with moss and plant matter. He needed a lot of care to return him to a comfortable state. He gave us trouble the whole time, stole items, I recall he took an everstone from a munchlax, the Pokemon evolved, quite suddenly as he was quite old and well trained. His sudden change was enough to wipe out a whole wall in the lab, we had to close for a few days to get it fixed. Not only was this ludicolo strong and fast, he had a very sharp mind, and would often trick us or trap us somehow. I’m not ashamed to say he locked me in a closet for an hour before Val was freed from her distractions and found me. Smart Pokemon, we didn’t try to train him, or make him some kind of rehabilitation case. He didn’t do anything harmful, he was just a bit of a pickpocket. We sent him to a secluded forest area, he lives away from people so he can’t steal their stuff. The areas got rich mineral deposits and is a hotbed for evolution stones. We tried to encourage him to hunt for them and use them as bargain chips with the local Pokemon, get his con-man fix in a less serious or destructive way. He did very much wipe my team out the first time we met, I had to get out fast or drown trying hah.
Second would be a relativly young jumped up Dhelmise, very speedy, and being a grass type in the open ocean, I cannot go into that water, and my team aren’t entierly keen either. Got some big hang ups about swimming in the ocean. I had to tag professor Grey in for that job, he was more than capable at what I couldn’t handle. Basically he was just being aggressive in the area, but they’re tough Pokemon, not afraid to throw themselves entierly into battle. I watched from the beach, grey won, the Pokemon left the area. No sightings since.
My most recent nightmare child was gained in the Galar region. Found rumours that a lot of Pokemon and people were getting sick near route 3, figured heck, must be a poison type of some kind or something? Go check it out right? Sure. So I go over to the area, camp out a bit, hang around, and finally catch sight of what was going on. This suuuper sweet looking extra special shiny glossifleur lay hurt in the road, crying out to passing trainers. I’d catch sight of the same one each night I visited the area. The group would try to help the injured Pokemon, and she would gladly accept. They’d set up camp, or try to get her to take potions or food, nd she would accept, thankfully. They would become comfortable around her, they’d forget to be wary, and if given the opportunity, this Pokemon actively slipped poison into bottled water, food, and meals shared around the campfire. I thought I was imaging it but no, happened twice, (don’t worry I caught up to the trainers and whipped up a little cure for the small amount they ingested by this point. by the third attempt I intervened, and the startled Pokemon got real hostile for being called out on its little scheme. Had to battle her, caught the damn thing, now I live with a Pokemon that’s always trying to slip poison into my food. She’s...mean. Her nature’s a little off, we have a lot of work to do with her still, I think there’s a bigger story here than perhaps we first thought, and I’m time she may unravel it a little. For now she has become close with Minerva my lopunny, another shiny. Perhaps it’s the pink thing, perhaps it’s the girl power, maybe it’s the shiny nature they share, I don’t know, but whatever it is it’s amazing. She will listen to Minerva, and sometimes not try to poison everyone. This is good.
