Your writing is always worth reading, even the unfinished stories are brilliant. A better question might be are you willing put up with all the cries of 'when will you finish X? Can you write more of A and B since you wrote X?' etc, etc.

omg that’s very kind, thank you. ye i expect there will always be someone out there who asks for more, but going by all the fic writing posts i tend to see on here that’s about par for the course when it comes to feedback these days

I HATE THEM. They’ve spread to my neck too, for extra joy, and my skin gets unhappy when I pluck them! Having dark hair is the worst. If I had the money I would totally get them all zapped.

Better than 5 years ago is promising, I’m glad to hear that! I was first assessed three years ago, when ATOS was a shitshow, though my experience was actually alright! I’m really worried though, as one of the new-ish tablets I’m on has improved me in the category I scored the most points in (in that I’m not vomiting all the time, though everything else is the same) and I’m not sure how to rework my statement to still get enough points. ;___;

I can’t promise they’ll be 10 interesting facts, mind...

I lived in 9 houses, 8 towns, and 4 countries before the age of 18, and a further 7 houses, 4 towns, and, uh, one country since I am scrambling towards stability..

I have a rather confusing accent as a result - it’s identifiably North of England, but my mum’s from the North East, my dad’s from the North West, so I have traits from both, plus I spent a lot of time in the West Country and occasionally go a bit oo-arr, plus I went to quite a posh university so can code-switch into clipped RP when it’s convenient.

I speak passable French, albeit with a Swiss accent, and a smattering of German, with a terrible accent. Sadly, my Dutch got bullied out of me in primary school.

I was vegetarian (practically vegan) for about 12 years before a dose of glandular fever at the age of 30 knocked me for six - I was living alone, and just didn’t have the energy to get enough calories into me on that diet. Still don’t eat a lot of meat, but I’m far less strict about it.

Related, when I started seeing my current partner, I think I’d cooked for him about a dozen times before he twigged that every meal had been at least vegetarian.

I’m a bloody good cook.

The only allergy or food-intolerance I have is to Quorn, which was inconvenient as a vegetarian at the turn of the century. I used to think I just kept being unlucky with food-poisoning until I discovered in a biotech lecture that about 0.1% of the population don’t have the enzymes to digest it properly, which leads to projectile vomming.

I used to be a medical microbiologist, but gave it up to retrain as a counsellor when it became clear that the stress was making me unwell.

I’ve performed in Romeo & Juliet twice in front of a paying audience - first time as Juliet at 14, second as Lady Capulet at 22. I can still recite bits of it off by heart.

I’m studying to be a Druid. Well, a Bard, because that’s the first initiatory degree. I have already told one person they’d got the wrong class when they called me a SJW.

It’s so much fun putting NPCs into your characters’ stories! I get to laugh to myself whenever Lant runs past Rommath in Silvermoon and I imagine Rommath studiously ignoring him, perhaps with a slight ear blush that pisses him off, lol. I highly recommend it! And I’d like to hear more about your clutch of pointy eared idiots. <3
