Shirdi, Ajanta, Ellora Tour Packages - A Guide to Spirituality and Complete History.
Tumblr media
I would like to take a flight to Shirdi and thence by road to Aurangabad and see the Ellora and Ajanta caves. They say the road from Aurangabad to Ajanta is very bad. How is the situation now? ”He questioned.
“It is true that the Ellora-Ajanta road is being converted into a two-lane road. In some places the road is bomb and pit. So it takes only three hours to reach Ajanta from Ellora. If you plan a little more, you can go to Shirdi and then visit Ajanta, Ellora, Krisneswar Temple and Devagiri Fort. ”Let Shirdi be the first in your itinerary. Then go to places like Ajanta and Ellora ...Shirdi
Those who wish to travel from Chennai to Shirdi can reach Pune by train from Chennai - Mumbai and then from there to Shirdi. There is a daily flight from Chennai to Shirdi at 12.10 pm. Shirdi can be reached in a maximum of two hours by plane. Shirdi is also well connected to Bangalore and Hyderabad by air.
Sai Baba Samadhi Mantra will be held daily at 4 am and will be held in the morning. It is specially considered by the devotees of Baba.
Baba's Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi is also worth a visit. Biometrically, they set aside time for universal vision. So, you don't have to wait in line for long. Senior citizens can go to the counter at any time and display the Aadhaar Identity Card and obtain the token.
Since there are a large number of devotees on Thursdays, it is best to go on other days. When you go to the Samadhi, you have to put mobile and camera in the room.
Ajanta
The next is about 200 km from Shirdi. Let's go to Ajanta in the distance. The journey would take about six hours. Road widening is currently underway and may take an additional hour. While there are world famous Ellora caves on the way, it is a good idea to visit Ajanta first and enjoy the cave and paintings and visit Ellora the next day. Plan a trip accordingly as it is a holiday for Ajanta on Monday and Ellora on Tuesday.
In the morning at Ajanta village, there is no need to take a room as there are plenty of places to bathe. Family members can take a room if they want to keep their belongings.
About 12 km from the village of Ajanta. In the distance are the Ajanta tunnels. Travelers can also travel to the village of Ajanta by the Archaeological Department. Depending on the crowd, Ajanta village may have to wait a few hours. Since there are only 28 tunnels in Ajanta, those who want to see everything, travel from Shirdi overnight and reach Ajanta early in the morning.
It is a treasure of art that has been hidden in the bush for over 1,500 years, and the excitement of seeing Ajanta that made the world famous for its art is inspiring. If you go during the rainy season, it would be extra exciting to see the cave like the Vakora River falls from above.
It is true that the Ellora-Ajanta road is being converted into a two-lane road. In some places the road is bomb and pit. So it takes only three hours to reach Ajanta from Ellora. Ajanta is planning to leave early...
Some people want to visit places of spirituality. Some want to travel to places of historical significance. Others want to go to places of religious and historical attractions. When planning a travel itinerary, there are doubts about the quality of transport and the quality of the roads. One such suspicion was raised on our page, #DoubtOfCommonMan.
Devagiri Fort
If you plan to have two days in Ellora, the second day is about 15km from Ellora. You can also see the Devagiri Fort, which is also known as Daulatabad Fort. It is one of the most significant fort in Indian history. In the year 1327 AD, Mohammed bin Tughluq proclaimed himself the capital of India. The fort at the site is about 200 meters high. The outer perimeter of the fort, which is made of granite, is about 4.5 km. It is a pleasure to climb the fort through the trenches and climb the narrow stairs to see the beauty of Devgiri.
Traveling by public transport buses is a good idea if you travel alone or a few. Private taxi or cars can be rented as 'km-so' for family or group. If you only plan three days, you can skip Devakri and end the journey with the Krishneswarar Temple.
Pune is about 255 km away from Ellora and Shirdi is about 109 km. Travel by train or airline.50 per entry fee is charged at Ajanta and Ellora.
Accommodation is available in Ajanta and Ellora for a minimum. You can select the ideal suite of rooms. Shirdi - Ajanta - Ellora has been around for three days. You can also try this Shirdi Travel Package.

Sai Baba
Sai Baba, a personification of spiritual perfection and an epitome of compassion, lived in the little village of Shirdi in the state of Maharashtra (India) for sixty years. Like most of the perfect saints he left no authentic record of his birth and early life before arriving at Shirdi. In fact, in the face of his spiritual brilliance such queries do not have much relevance.
He reached Shirdi as a nameless entity. One of the persons who first came in contact with him at Shirdi addressed him spontaneously as ‘Sai’ which means Savior, Master or Saint. ‘Baba’ means father as an expression of reverence. In the Divine play it was designed as such, that He subtly inspired this person to call Him by this name, which was most appropriate for His self-allotted mission.
All that we definitely know of Sai Baba is that his arrival at Shirdi was anonymous. He was first noticed in the outskirts of the village Shirdi, seated under a ‘neem’ (margosa) tree, about the year 1854. However, even this date is not definitely noted. Sai Baba of these younger days remained a stranger staying under the chennai to shirdi flight package  neem tree for some time and then suddenly he left Shirdi to come back again sometime in 1858, and stayed on there till he left his gross body in the year 1918.
The second advent of Baba at Shirdi, around 1858 was interestingly quite different from the first. This time he accompanied a wedding procession as guest of honor.  On the arrival at Shirdi, he was immediately recognized by someone as the same anonymous saintly personality who used to be seated under the neem tree a few years earlier and, greeted Him as “Ya Sai” – Welcome Sai.
In the early days of his stay at Shirdi he spent his time either wandering in the outskirts of village and neighboring thorny jungles or sitting under the neem tree totally self absorbed. The first set of villagers who regarded this saintly figure were Mhalsapati, Tatya Kote, Bayyaji Bai and few others. Bayyaji Bai chennai to shirdi flight package  felt deeply motivated by this Divine Saint, and with her motherly instinct she used to walk miles on end into the jungles in search of him, carrying food in a basket on her head. Often she found Sai Baba sitting under some tree in deep meditation, calm and motionless. She would boldly approach him, serve the meal and return home.
After sometime as though out of compassion for her, Sai Baba ceased wandering and moved into a dilapidated mosque in the outskirts of the village. He referred to this mosque, where He resided till the end, as ‘Dwarkamai’ (Dwarka was the place where Lord Shri Krishna stayed to fulfill His divine Advent). This mosque ‘Dwarkamai’ – abode of Sai Baba became Mother of Mercy for all the time to come.
He had a body of athlete built and in his earlier days he was fond of wrestling. Another aspect of Sai Baba’s personality was his love for song and dance. In those early years of his life he used to go to ‘Takia’, the public night shelter for moslem visitors to the village. There in the company of sojourning devotees and fakirs, he used to dance and sing in divine bliss, with small tinkles tied around his ankles. The songs he sang were mostly in Persian or Arabic. Sometimes he sang some popular songs of Kabir.
He donned a long shirt – ‘Kafni’  and tied a cloth around his head, and twisted it into a flowing plait like manner behind his left ear. He used a piece of sackcloth for his seat and slept on it with a brick as his pillow. He always declared that Fakiri (Holy poverty) was far superior to worldly richness. He was no ordinary fakir but an ‘Avatar ’ (incarnation) of a very high order. But His external appearance was of simple, illiterate, moody, emphatic – at times fiery and abusive and at times full of compassion and love. In the moments of towering rage people with him thought it was ungovernable rage. But his anger never prevented his compassion dealing with the devotees. His anger was evidently directed at unseen forces. He enacted all these simple traits only to hide His real identity as the God incarnate. Under the cover of simplicity He silently worked for the spiritual transformation and liberation of innumerable souls – human beings and animals alike, who were drawn to Him, by an unseen forces.
He begged for alms and shared what he got with his devotees and all the creatures around him. He never kept any food in reserve for the next meal. He maintained the ‘Dhuni’ – the perpetual sacred fire and distributed its ash – ‘Udi’ as token of His divine grace to all who came to Him for help.
Baba would ask for ‘Dakshina’ (money offered with reverence to the ‘Guru’ or the master) from some of those who came to see him. This was not because he needed their money but for deeper significance, which the devotees realized at, an appropriate time.
Baba used to freely distribute all the money that was received in the form of Dakshina to the destitute, poor, sick and needy the very same day. This was one of Baba's methods for testing out the devotees attachments to worthy things and willingness to surrender.
He ploughed up the village common land and raised a flower garden thereon, he watered the plants, carrying pots full of water on chennai to shirdi flight package  his shoulders. In the later years he spent a few hours in this Lendi garden which he himself had laid out in the early days.
He was every moment exercising a double consciousness, one actively utilizing the apparent Ego called 'Sai Baba' dealing with other egos in temporal and spiritual affairs, and the other - entirely superceding all egos as the Universal Ego or Over soul.
He was the common man’s God. He lived with them,  he slept and ate with them. Baba had a keen sense of humour. He shared a ‘chillum’  (clay pipe for smoking) indiscriminately with them to write off the cast superiority and orthodoxy in their minds. He had no pretensions of any kind .He was always very playful in the presence of children. Baba used to feed the fakirs and devotees and even cook for them.
Sai Baba's perfect purity, benevolence, non-attachment, compassion and other virtues evoked deep reverence in the villagers around him. His divinity could not conceal itself for long. Initially when people wanted to worship him formally, Baba protested and dissuaded them. But gradually he allowed it with the prescience that it would become the means for temporal and spiritual benefits to millions of individuals for all time to come.
The Dwarkamai of Sai Baba was open to all, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. As the days passed devotees from all walks of life started streaming into Shirdi. The village Shirdi was fast assuming prominence. As the gifts and presentations flowed in, the pomp and grandeur of Sai worship also increased. But Baba’s life of a fakir remained calm, undisturbed, unaltered and there is the Saint’s spiritual glory.
He lived His divine mission through His pure self in a human embodiment. The immense energy that was manifest in the body of Sai was moving in a mysterious way, creating and recreating itself every where beyond the comprehension of time and space.
This fountainhead of unsurpassed spiritual glory shed His gross body on 15th October 1918. Every limb, every bone and pore of his body was permeated with divine essence. Baba claimed that though one day his physical body will not exist his remains will communicate with all those who seek him with inner yearnings.  His self-allotted labour of love in His physical body was perhaps over. Today He continues to work ever vigorously as the ‘Sai Spirit’.

Sai Baba of Shirdi – The hidden jewel of Advaita
Sai Baba of Shirdi is renowned as the Master of Miracles, but few have been exposed to his diamond teachings of Advaita (non-duality). Sai Baba’s philosophy was based on Advaita Vedanta, which also included elements of Bhakti. However, the phenomenon and magnitude of miracles that occurred during, and even after, his lifetime was so overwhelming that in their incessant narration over the decades since his death, his teachings have been largely overlooked, overshadowed and forgotten. With the deeper chennai to shirdi flight package  understanding prevalent today in humanity’s consciousness, that extends beyond the fascination and hope for miracles and moves in the direction of self-inquiry, digging out these precious gems of Advaita from the sacred soil of Shirdi is essential to understanding the deeper significance of this colossal spiritual figure’s raison d’etre. Almost everyone like to visit Shirdi Sai Temple, is organized by Sri Sairam Subhayatra provide a safe, secure journey. For, Sai himself said, “I give people what they want in the hope that they will begin to want what I want to give them.”
While we Indians, more prone to the Bhakti path, have built temples dedicated to Sai Baba in almost every street corner in Maharashtra, the Western spiritual seeker is practically non-conversant with this saint. Inclined to accept logical, knowledge-based concepts over the phenomena of miracles, the Western rational mind leans more toward Jnana and less toward Bhakti. Unfortunately, they have not been exposed to Sai’s teachings as there is hardly any awareness of literature that is primarily devoted to expounding his teachings. This is in sharp contrast to Sai Baba’s contemporaries, namely Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj, who had a steady stream of seekers from all over the world, visiting them because they had been exposed to their teachings that had spread far and wide through books published on their talks during satsangs. Perhaps the time has now come for the world to recognize and accept yet another gift of the highest teachings of Advaita Vedanta – as espoused by this Avatar.
Culled from the Sai Sat Charita (considered the most important account of his life, teachings and miracles), are some of the most lucid statements on Advaita made by a saint whose motto was “Sabka Malik Ek”, that literally translates as “Everyone’s God/Master is One”. Sai clearly did not mean to emphasize that there is only one God (as in an embodied form) for everyone, but rather that ‘Everyone’s God/Master is One’. One – not two, non-dual – One, the One Unicity, One Source, One Consciousness. Best is organized by Sri Sairam Subhayatra. This makes it hardly surprising that he was considered an incarnation of Shiva – who is Pure Consciousness.
Here are some examples of Baba’s Advaitic sayings:
You need not go far in search of Me. Barring your name and form, there exists in you as well as in all beings, a sense of Being or Consciousness of Existence. That is Myself. Knowing this, you see Me inside yourself, as well as in all beings. If you practise this, you will realize all-pervasiveness, and thus attain oneness with Me.”
Sai clearly points out that you are not the ego – identification with name and form. You are that Consciousness that enables you to Be – “I Am,” not “I Am this or that.” You are that same Consciousness that functions through everyone and brings about life as we know it, just as it is the same electricity that  chennai to shirdi flight package  functions through different electronic gadgets. This understanding annihilates any notion of separation that exists between ‘me’ and the ‘other’. All there is, is only Consciousness. And it is not something to go in search of, as it is already there within us – only the veil of ignorance needs to be removed. Sabka Malik Ek.
“Why should you take the responsibility of the actions on you? Do not entertain the sense of doership in doing good, as well as for bad deeds; be entirely prideless and egoless in all things and thus your spiritual progress will be rapid.”
We can see that Sai is constantly giving us pointers to liberation, enlightenment or Self-realization. In the following paragraph from the Sai Sat Charita, Sai Baba has covered some major milestones on the Advaita road – including being the Witness, the illusion of separation, the will of God, and enlightenment. “Let the world go topsy-turvy, you remain where you are. Standing in your own place, look on calmly at the show of all things passing before you. Demolish the wall of difference that separates you from Me, and then the road for our meeting will be clear and open. The sense of differentiation as I and thou, is the barrier that keeps the disciple away from his Master and unless that is destroyed    the state of union or atonement is not possible, “Allah Malik”, i.e. God is the sole Proprietor, nobody else is our Protector. His method of work is extraordinary, invaluable and inscrutable. His Will be done and He will show us the way, and satisfy our heart’s desires. It is on account of Runanubandh (former relationship) that we have come together, let us love and serve each other and be happy. Our gives comfort feel, safe and happy journey. He who attains the supreme goal of life is immortal and happy, all others merely exist, i.e. live so long as they breathe.
Since his passing, Sai Baba has been worshipped by millions of devotees in the hope that miracles will occur in their lives. Few worship him for the miracle that is his teaching – itself a direct path to Self-realization and  chennai to shirdi flight package  enlightenment; a path which takes us beyond the pains and pleasures of daily living, and anchors us in peace of mind.  Although there are thousands of temples dedicated to Sai Baba today, it’s time to worship his timeless teachings as well, for in his own words, “Meditate always on My Formless nature, which is knowledge incarnate, consciousness and bliss.”
It is this statement we should remember the next time we bow down in front of the stone slab at Dwarkamai upon which Baba used to sit. Sai had also said, “My bones will speak from my tomb.” They certainly are speaking but the point is, are we willing to listen.

Sai baba of shirdi quotes
Shirdi sai baba was a enlightened mystic from shirdi village in Maharashtra. He is equally revered by Hindus and Muslims. His samadhi temple in Shirdi is one of the most popular and visited spiritual place in Maharashtra.
Sai baba main message was of love, helping people, charity, universal brotherhood, contentment, forgiveness, living a detached life and devotion to guru. He lived an ascetic life and helped everyone who came to him. But to his followers and disciples, he asked them to live an householder life without any attachment to worldly things. He also  chennai to shirdi flight package  gave importance to prayer and to chanting the name of god. Almost everyone like to visit Shirdi Sai Temple, is organized by Sri Sairam Subhayatra provide a safe, secure journey. He also advised to read holy scriptures and to live a honest life.
He never distinguished people based on their caste, religion or financial status. All were equally invited and loved in his presence. One of this most famous saying is “sabka malik ek” meaning “one god governs all”.
Shirdi sai baba performed many miracles like bilocation (being in two locations at same time), levitation, mind reading, materialisation of things, exorcisms, entering a state of samadhi at will (once his body was lifeless for 3 days), lighting lamps with water (this happened when villagers refuse to donate oil to him for burning holy lamp), removing his limbs or intestines and sticking them back to his body (khandana yoga), curing the incurably sick (that he did on numerous occasions. every time he used to attribute this to ‘god will’ and used to say “allah malik” meaning ‘god is kind’), appearing beaten when another person was beaten (this is the case of ’empathy’ and used to happen with sri ramakrishna paramhansa also), stopping the storms, preventing a mosque from falling down on people, and helping his devotees in a miraculous way. Best is organized by Sri Sairam Subhayatra. He also gave darshan (vision) to people in the form of rama, krishna, vithoba and many other gods depending on the faith of devotees.
He also said that “trust in me and your prayer shall be answered”. Many people prayers have been answered on visiting shirdi sai baba temple in shirdi village. No wonder it is not only the most visited temple in Maharashtra but also one of the richest temple in india.
Shirdi sai baba 11 “assurances” to his devotees:
 1. No harm shall befall him, who steps on the soil of shirdi.
 2. He who comes to my samadhi, his sorrow and suffering shall cease.
 3. Though I be no more in flesh and blood, I shall ever protect my devotees.
 4. Trust in me and your prayer shall be answered.
 5. Know that my spirit is immortal, know this for yourself.
 6. Show unto me him who has sought refuge and has been turned away.
 7. In whatever faith men worship me, even so do I render to them.
 8. Not in vain is my promise that I shall ever lighten your burden.
 9. Knock, and the door shall open, ask and it shall be granted.
 10. To him who surrenders unto me totally I shall be ever indebted.
 11. Blessed is he who has become one with me.
Shirdi sai baba quotes and sayings:
 1. Sabka malik ek. (meaning one god governs all).
 2. Allah Malik. (meaning ‘god is kind’).
 3. Unless there is some relationship or connection, nobody goes anywhere. if any men or creatures come to you, do not discourteously drive them away, but receive them well and treat them, with due respect. shri hari (god) will be certainly pleased, if you give water to the thirsty, bread to the hungry, clothes to the naked, and your verandah (courtyard) to strangers for sitting and resting.
 4. Let us love and serve each other and be happy.
 5. He, who attain the supreme goal of life, is immortal and happy; all others merely exist.
 6. “God lives in all beings and creatures, whether they be serpents or scorpions. he is the great wirepuller of the world, and all beings, serpents, scorpions etc. obey his command. unless he will it, nobody can do any harm to others. the  chennai to shirdi flight package  world is all dependent on him, and no one is independent. So we should take pity and love all creatures, leave off adventurous fights and killings and be patient. The lord (god) is the protector of all.
7.If you spread your palms with devotion before me, i am immediately with you, day and night. Though, i am here bodily, still I know what you do; beyond the seven seas. Go wherever you will, over the wide world, i am with you.
 8. My abode is in your heart and i am within you. Always worship me, who is seated in your heart, as well as, in the hearts of all beings, blessed and fortunate, indeed, is he who knows me thus.
 9. Though I have become a fakir, have no house or wife, and though leaving off all cares, I have stayed at one place, the inevitable maya teases me often. Though I forgot myself I cannot forget her. She always envelops me. This maya (illusive power) of the lord (shri hari) teases god brahma and others; then what to speak of a poor fakir like me? those who take refuge in the lord will be freed from her clutches with his grace”.
 10. For seeing brahman (realizing the self) one has to give five things, (i.e. surrender five things) (1) five pranas (vital forces), (2) five senses (five of action and five of perception), (3) mind, (4) intellect and (5) ego. this path of brahma-jnana of self-realization is ‘as hard as to tread on the edge of a razor.
 11. Do not try to get mantra or upadesh from anybody. make me the sole object of your thoughts and actions; and you will, no doubt, attain paramartha (the spiritual goal of life). look at me whole-heartedly, and i in turn look at you similarly. sitting in this masjid, i speak the truth, nothing but the truth. no sadhanas, nor proficiency in  chennai to shirdi flight package  the six shastras, are necessary. have faith and confidence in your Guru. believe fully, that guru is the sole actor or doer. Our gives comfort feel, safe and happy journey. blessed is he who knows the greatness of his guru and thinks him to be hari, hara and brahma (trimurti) incarnate.”
 12. To get the knowledge (realization) of the self, dhyana (meditation) is necessary. if you practice it continuously, the vrittis (thoughts) will be pacified. being quite desireless, you should meditate on the lord, who is in all the creatures, and when the mind is concentrated, the goal will be achieved.
 13. Meditate always on my formless nature, which is knowledge incarnate, consciousness and bliss. if you cannot do this, meditate on my form from top to toe as you see here night and day. as you go on doing this, your vrittis will concentrate on one point and the distinction between the dhyata (meditator), dhyana (act of meditation), dhyeya (this meditated upon) will be lost and the meditator will be one with the consciousness and be merged in the brahman.
 14. The (mother) tortoise is on one bank of the river, and her young ones are on the other side. She gives neither milk, nor warmth to them. Her mere glance gives them nutrition. the young ones do nothing, but remember (meditate upon) their mother. the tortoise glance is, to the young ones, a down-pour of nectar, the only source of sustenance and happiness. Similar is the relation, between the guru and disciples.”

Sai Baba of Shirdi
Sai Baba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master who was regarded by his devotees as a saint, fakir, and satguru, according to their individual proclivities and beliefs. He was revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees, and during, as well as after, his life it remained uncertain  chennai to shirdi flight package if he was a Hindu or a Muslim. This, however, was of no consequence to Sai Baba. He stressed the importance of surrender to the true Satguru or Murshid, who, having trod the path to divine consciousness, will lead the disciple through the jungle of spiritual training.
Sai Baba is worshipped by people around the world. He had no love for perishable things and his sole concern was realization of the self. He taught a moral code of love, forgiveness, helping others, charity, contentment, inner peace, and devotion to God and guru. He gave no distinction based on religion or caste. Sai Baba's teaching combined elements of Hinduism and Islam: he gave the Hindu name  chennai to shirdi flight package   Dwarakamayi to the mosque in which he lived, practised Muslim rituals, taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions, and was buried in Shirdi. One of his well known epigrams, "Sabka Malik Ek" ("One God governs all"), is associated with Hinduism, Islam and Sufism. He also said, "Trust in me and your prayer shall be answered". He always uttered "Allah Malik" ("God is King").
 Background
Baba's dress will be always simple Sai Baba's real name, his birthplace and date of birth are unknown. When asked about his past, he often gave elusive responses. The name "Sai" was given to him upon his arrival at Shirdi, a town in the West Indian state of Maharashtra by Mahalsapati, a local temple priest, acknowledging him as a Muslim saint and greeting him with the words 'Ya Sai!', meaning 'Welcome Sai!'. Sai or Sayi is a Persian title given to Sufi saints, meaning 'poor one' and in the Banjara language, "sayi" means good one. In several Indian and Middle Eastern languages the chennai to shirdi flight package   term "Baba" is an honorific signifying grandfather, father, old man or sir. Thus Sai Baba denotes holy father, saintly father or (venerable) poor old man.  Alternatively, the Sindhi and Urdu word "sai.n", an honorific title for a virtuoso, a saint, or a feudal lord (i.e. a patron), is derived from the Persian word "sayeh", which literally means shadow but figuratively refers to patronage or protection. The Hindi-Urdu word "saya" comes from the same borrowing. Thus, it could also mean Master Father. However, Sai may also be an acronym of the Sanskrit term "Sakshat Eshwar", a reference to God. Sakshat means incarnate and Eshwar ( Ishvar) means God. Some of Sai Baba's disciples became famous as spiritual figures and saints, such as Mahalsapati, a priest of the Khandoba temple in Shirdi, and Upasni Maharaj. He was revered by other saints, such as Saint Bidkar Maharaj, Saint Gangagir, Saint Janakidas Maharaj, and Sati Godavari Mataji. Sai Baba referred to several saints as 'my brothers', especially the disciples of Swami Samartha of Akkalkot.

The Saint-Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi
Baba’s birth and parentage are enshrouded in mystery.  All that is known is that round about the year 1858; Sai Baba came and settled in Shirdi-an insignificant little village in Ahmednagar lying almost on the bank of sacred Godavari River.  Here, in this isolated spot, far from the maddening crowd, the wonderful life and leelas of this predominantly lovable being began to capture the imagination of men and women who flocked in their thousands to bask  chennai to shirdi flight package  in the radiance of his love.  A unique personality; Shirdi Sai Baba stands out as one of the most compassionate and humane of all the saints known to history Sai Baba has translated the integral vision of reality into such a splendid series of radical miracles in the 60 glorious years of his messiah ship and continues to do even now, 89 years after his Maha Samadhi in 1918 on Vijayadashami Day.
Shirdi Sai Baba is one of those whose heart bums for the common man, for the ordinary householder struggling under his sansaric burdens with no time or inclination for religion or metaphysics.  Into the drab and dull lives of thousands of such mediocre men and women; the saint of Shirdi has brought hope and solace.  Almost everyone like to visit Shirdi Sai Temple, is organized by Sri Sairam Subhayatra provide a safe, secure journey. Sai Baba is the rarest of the world’s realized souls who has so consistently gone out of his way to bring struggling humanity into his compassionate fold.
It is vastly significant that though more than 89 years have elapsed since Baba passed away, his influence has not waned nor has his benign intervention into the lives of sorrowing mortals lessened often, enough, in his life time, Sai Baba had given assurances of his protection and love even after he shed his mortal coil.  “I shall be active and vigorous even after my Samadhi” he said... and he has abundantly fulfilled his promise.
With such an amazing out pouring of love, it is not to be wondered that Sai Baba should favour the Bhakti Marg to salvation.  Sai Baba compassionately assures his devotees by saying “Look to me and I will look to you and simply say Sai, Sai with heart over flaring and that he cares not for show of respect or formal worship.
Shirdi Ke Sai Baba – Perpetual Burning Dhuni Story
In every area of Shirdi, the use of Shirdi Ke sai baba wonder’s can be seen. That’s why, since the last 150 decades baba’s dhuni is kept perpetually burning daily in Dwarakamayi.
Fire is manifestation of energy of which the whole universe is made and the whole galaxy is created and flame compromise appears for the cosmic attention in which any doubt generation is estimated and regularly modified. Best is organized by  chennai to shirdi flight package   Sri Sairam Subhayatra. Hence, ‘Dhuni’ is outstanding for home the sins to ashes, for those who search for finish sanctuary in this peerless expert.
Shirdi Ke sai baba gurusthan was below a neem tree. When sai baba came to Shirdi, he got the ground beneath this neem tree dug up and found four miraculously burning earthen lamps buried under neath along with a rudraksha mala. Baba regarded these 4 burning earthen lamps each symbolic for Satya, Dharma, Peace and Love respectively. In his previous lifetime, baba had done his tapasya here at this point where the four burning lamps were found. Hence, the name “Gurusthan”, then baba sai that the time for the 4 lamps to continue burning was now over and it should be shifted from the gurusthan to “Dwarakamayi” his karmsthan, now they would continue to burn as his “Dhuni” till the time this world exists and it was placed in a 7’ by 5’2” place in Dwarakamayi, having wooden pillar on both the sides and padukas near the dhuni is that place where baba used to spend time in solitude everyday at 5 a.m. There is an iron door which is opened to offer fuel. Surprisingly the wooden pillars are not charred or ever burnt or no body is ever burnt while cleaning it from inside.
In an incident related by pujya sivanesan swamiji, looking at the bellowing smoke in 1974, a test performed by a group of Russian scientists for pollution and they surprised to find only minimal carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide. Our gives comfort feel, safe and happy journey. Through udi, baba conveyed that all the visible phenomena in the universe are as transient as the dhuni’s ash. Our bodies composed of the five elements will be reduced to ashes.
The udi also cured many physical and mental maladies, but Shirdi Ke sai baba wanted to din into the devotee’s the principles between the unreal and the real, non attachment for the unreal, and asking for dakshina and giving udi. The udi taught “Discrimination” and the dakshina taught “Non-Attachment” and without these two it is not  chennai to shirdi flight package   possible to cross over the sea of the mundane existence. So baba asked for and took dakshina, and while the devotee’s took leave, he gave udi as Prasad, besmeared some of it on the bhaktas’ foreheads and blessed them. When baba was in a cheerful mood he used to sing.”Oh, playful rama, come, come, and bring with you sacks of udi.”

Sai Baba
Sai Baba of Shirdi (Unknown – October 15, 1918), was an Indian Guru, Yogi and Fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim followers as a Saint.
The name “Sai Baba” is a combination of Persian and Indian origin, is the Persian term for “Holy One” or “Saint”, usually attributed to Islamic ascetics is a word meaning “Father” used in Indian languages.
The appellative thus refers to Sai Baba as being a “Holy Father” or “Saintly Father”.
It is said that who-so-ever comes for Baba’s Darshan at Shirdi never goes back empty handed because Baba comes to the rescue of each and every devotee in some or the other form.
But, do you know that Sai Baba was not originally from Shirdi. And Baba himself never disclosed to anyone about his past, where he was born   chennai to shirdi flight package  nor where he grew up. Therefore, his real name, time/place of birth, his religion/caste, his parentage etc are still unknown, and whatever details known about his life before the age of 16, are Obscure, leading to speculations & theories attempting to explain Sai Baba’s origins.
 Early years
Although Sai Baba’s origins are unknown, some indications exist that suggest that he was born not far from Shirdi. Baba was notorious for giving vague, misleading and contradictory replies to questions concerning his parentage and origins, brusquely stating the information was unimportant.
He had once reportedly stated to Mhalsapati, that he has been born of Brahmin parents in the village of Pathri. In any case, the only agreement amongst historians and his devotees is that there is no conclusive evidence of his Birth Date & Place.
No Authentic information is available about the birth and the early life of Shri Sai Baba. However it is believed that, Baba was born on 28th September`1838, in the State of the Nizam`Aurangabad, presently in Maharashtra. Soon after he was born, his Brahmin parents, who had developed a feeling of total detachment and renunciation, abandoned the Baba in the forest under a banyan tree and left to do penance.
In the same village there lived Roshan Shah Miyah, a Sufi fakir who was also childless, and on finding the abandoned Baba crying, he adopted him and brought him up in his home. The Baba stayed in the fakir’s home for four years (1838 to 1842). When the Baba was 4 yrs old, Roshan the Sufi fakir passed away and wife,
who had great affection for the child, was grief-stricken. To add to her worries, the Baba was behaving in a troublesome manner, as in Hindu temples, he would sing songs in praise of Allah: “I am God” (Mein Allah hoon), “Allah is the Supreme Lord” (Allah Malik hai)
and in a Mosque he would declare: “Rama is God”, “Shiva is Allah”.
Members belonging to both the communities made complains about the Baba behaviour. Unable to deal with this situation, the fakir’s wife handed over the Baba to a pious scholar named Venkusa, who was living near her house. Thus the Baba at the age of 5yrs, came under the care of Venkusa, who took the boy along with him to other villages.
In the year 1842, during summer, they both came to Shirdi village and they stayed there for 7 days. They took their food in the house of Baijabai and slept in the small temples of the village. This means Baba came to Shirdi first in the year 1842.  Same way the Baba had met Nanavali for the first time in 1849. Nanavali used to address Baba as Uncle.
The Baba stayed in the care and guidance of Venkusa for 12 whole years and when the time came for Venkusa to take Samadhi he asked the Baba  to leave. The Baba then about 16 years old, walked for three days along the banks of River Godavari, till he reached a place called Kopargaon, in the year 1854, Margashira month on the third day after full moon. After taking rest for a day, he again proceeded and reached the village of Shirdi by evening. Not willing to approach anyone for shelter, he began to live under the shade of a big neem tree. It is said that the Baba stayed in Shirdi for 3 years and then disappeared for a year only to return again to Shirdi permanently around 1858, which posits a possible birth year of 1838. There is no agreement among biographers about the dates of these event though.
After the Baba had left Shirdi, it is unknown where he stayed at that time or what happened to him. However, there are some indications that he met with many saints and fakirs, and worked as a weaver,
he claimed to have fought with the army of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Some believe that the Baba left Shirdi and proceeded eastwards along the bank of River Godavari. When he reached Trimbakeshwar, finding  chennai to shirdi flight package  the high mountains suitable for his meditation, he did penance for a year. Afterwards, he returned by the same route along the banks of River Godavari via Kopargaon and reached the place where he and his Guru Venkusa had parted, on exactly on the same day of the same month.
In the year 1858, again on a full-moon day in the month of Margashira, Venkusa gave darshan to Baba and told him to go back to Shirdi. He further told him that he would also be there in the form of a jyothi (burning light) near the neem tree in an underground structure.
Thus the Baba proceeded till he reached a village called Dhoop Gaon near Aurangabad and took rest near a big boulder, under a Mango tree, where he was first spotted sitting by a Mohammedan gentleman Chand Patil, who was the head of Dhoop Gaon.
Chand Patil requested the Fakir Baba to come and stay with him at his home. The Fakir Baba went to Chand Patil’s house and stayed there for some time. Patils wife’s brother’s son was to be married and the bride was from Shirdi. So Patil made preparations to go to Shirdi for the marriage and the Fakir Baba also accompanied the marriage procession. Thus, after one year again the fakir Baba returned to Shirdi with Chand Patils Nephews Wedding procession. When the marriage – party came to Shirdi, it alighted at the foot of a Banyan tree in Bhagat  chennai to shirdi flight package  Mhalsapati’s field near Khandoba Temple. The Carts were loosened in the open courtyard of Khandoba’s temple and the members of the party descended one by one. Bhagat Mhalsapati on seeing the young Fakir getting down, spontaneously accosted Him “YA SAI” (Welcome Sai). Hence this fakir Baba came to be known as “Sai”
After the wedding got over, all returned to Dhoop Gaon but Baba stayed back at Shirdi. For 4-5 years Baba lived under a Neem tree and often wandered alone for long periods in the jungles around Shirdi.
Later, Baba shifted over to an Old mosque which he affectionately called “Dwarkamai”, where he stayed for approximately 60 years and removed the sufferings of people.
Baba always used to laugh and avoid answering to questions asked by the villagers, as to Who he was, from where had he come, who his Parents were and where his family is. As a result, people stopped asking him such questions and till date no one knows anything about Baba’s Background. Baba also never told anything about himself to Baijabai, to whom he was very much attached. When asked about his relatives and other details he gave only one answer: “From very Long”.

Sai Baba of Shirdi
Sai Baba of Shirdi was a crown jewel among Saints. He lived his entire life out in a small and obscure village in India. The villagers of Shirdi each claimed him as a member of their own religion, Muslim or Hindu, but really he came to make peace between them and he always encouraged each to stick to his own religious path. He drew devotees from all over the country though he never traveled and never cared for fame. Over and over his devotees found he knew their innermost thoughts and details of their lives. He effected cures, conferred health, happiness, and prosperity, and made childless couples conceive. His real purpose though was to awaken in them a longing for the chennai to shirdi flight package  spiritual life. Thousands thought of him as a wonderful saint with miraculous powers but his innermost circle knew him to be in incarnation of God himself. Some said of Datta, others of Shiva, still others saw ecstatic visions of their own beloved Guru or chosen Ishta (personalized icon of God) while gazing at Him. He himself said only that he was the humble servant of God and pleased and furthered all who came in contact with him. Just before leaving his body he told a disciple he would be reborn in a certain village 8 years hence and so it came to pass.
Sai Baba was first seen as a youth of sixteen sitting under a neem tree in Shirdi. None knew his origin or past. Even then he seemed to be full of the knowledge of Brahman. He had no desire for worldly objects, even in dream. He kicked out Maya (illusion) and Mukti (illumination) was serving at his feet. This young lad, fair, smart, and very handsome, was first seen under a Neem tree seated in  chennai to shirdi flight package   an Asan (meditative posture). The people of the village were wonderstruck to see such a young lad practicing hard penance, not minding heat and cold. By day he associated with none. by night he was afraid of nobody. People were wondering whence that young chap turned up. His form and features were so handsome that a mere look endeared him to all. He went to nobody's door, always sat near the Neem tree. Outwardly he looked very young; but by his action He was really a great soul. He was the embodiment of dispassion and an enigma to all.
A saint name Gangagir who frequented Shirdi said of him on first setting eyes on him "Blessed is Shirdi, that it got this precious jewel". Another saint by name Anandanath said "This is a precious diamond in reality, though he looks like an ordinary man. You will realize this in the near future."
Peace or calm was his ornament and he was the repository of wisdom. He had no love for perishable things and was always engrossed in self-realization. He did not know or care for honor or dishonor. The name of Allah was always on his lips. His inside was as calm as the deep sea. Though he sat in one place, he knew all the transactions of the world. Though a Siddha (realized being), he acted like a sadhaka (disciple on the spiritual path). He was meek, humble, and pleased all.
Sacred Ash (Udi) of Sai Baba
One of Baba's special features was that he always kept a sacred fire (Dhuni) burning. The ash from this fire was called Udi and it was freely distributed to the devotees at the time of their departure from Shirdi. Baba taught by His Udi that all the visible phenomena in the universe are as transient as the ash. Our bodies composed of wood or matter of the five elements, will fall down, after all their enjoyments are over, and be reduced to ashes. In order to remind the devotees of the fact that their bodies will be reduced to ashes, Baba distributed Udi to them. Baba also taught by the Udi that the Brahman  chennai to shirdi flight package  is the only Reality and the universe is ephemeral and that no one in this world, be he a son, father or wife, is really ours. We come here (in this world) alone and we have to go out alone. It was found out and is even now found out, that the Udi cured many physical and mental maladies, but Baba wanted to din into the devotee's ears the principles of discrimination between the Unreal and the Real.
