what was the hardest step in making all the cards? like was it getting the designs for those cards that weren’t on the uhh site thing you got the rest of them from?
SO FAR hmm. as for just sheer amount of TIME setting up the printer was the hardest step because it took me an entire day and after i had given up it just magically started working right in the morning. but for the cards themselves and actual EFFORT i think throwing together kaycees mods cards is proving to be quite the challenge yeah ! i gotta stitch the sigils on manually cuz even if i got the sprites the site im using doesnt let me do custom sigils.....
planning out mechanics has also been very difficult however! things like transforming cards (wolf cub for example, grows into a wolf after one turn) are a liiiiiiiittle difficult to recreate irl due to the simple fact of. i cannot magically transform cards into other cards. this is a really big recurring issue actually. like the ouroboros for example. boosting its stats everytime it dies. my solution (i have a better solution now actually i think) was to print 9 extra ouroboros each with increasing statlines, capping out at 10/10, and swapping them out when necessary. it feels like every other card is a problem child with its mechanics SKSBDKBD
also campfires and sigil transfer. stat boosting and adding sigils to cards. i cant magically transform cards. THAT one took a WHILE to figure out. ive got card sleeves coming in the mail and ive got numbers and sigil patches i can slip into the sleeves with the cards basically. i saw someone on youtube do that and thought it was REALLY clever :]!
conclusion: everything. everything has been a pain in the ass.
