While gathering weapons, armor and supplies for her journey, Nadira heard from Wilbur that there is an all-female gang of thieves terrorizing the town and was intrigued. Such roving gangs are common in Sentinel, so Nadira offered up her help to Maelona.

After ridding the town of the gang, Nadira overheard a customer at the Count's Arms talking about a nearby estate named Highwood. Nadira decides to investigate.

I made for Gweden right away, but on the way there, I spotted some bandits in the distance. Looked like a bowman and a hedge-wizard, on patrol in front of some ruins. As I’ve proved lately, I’m a fair hand with a bow, so three shots later, and they were down.

I arrived at Gweden shortly after. I was early, so I had to wait a while. Once inside, Faustina approached me again, reiterating her offer.

Faustina: “I see you decided to take us up on our offer. Good. We could use another gal in the gang.” Trials: “...what if I say ‘no, I’m not tickling any butts for you’?” Faustina: “...well, that’s never happened before. First, I’d ask ‘what the hell you’re talking about?’ Then second, I guess I’d have to kill you. I mean, we can’t have you going back to Anvil and ruining the whole plan.” Trials: “Sorry, Faustina. I’m just here to get Maelona’s ring, and what’s left of Gogan’s dignity.”

Faustina: “So, it’s a setup, then? Okay, girls! We got someone who doesn’t want to cooperate!”

Faustina sic’d her gang on me; Signy Home-Wrecker, and a new gal, a khajiit.

It was a tough battle, but somehow I managed to put the three of them down. It wasn’t fun, killing people, but it was them or me.

That was when Maelona and Gogan showed up. Turns out, they were undercover guards! They’d covertly planned this sting, and I was just the bait.

Maelona: “It was decided the only way to stop this gang was to send in a stranger. You fit the bill perfectly. Trials: “Screw you both. I nearly died! And if you two were using me as bait, why didn’t you rush in the moment I was in trouble? Maelona: “We were held up. Gogan was growing his beard in.” Trials: “Oh, well that’s understa--whaaaaa?”

I tracked Gogan and Maelona down, and found them having a fight. Interrupting, I talked to Gogan first, but he didn’t want to speak. That is a man who definitely got himself bum-bullied. So I spoke to Maelona next. The breakdown: Gogan got seduced by the all-woman gang, they wiled him into disarming himself, and once he had, they robbed him.

Maelona: “When Gogan was, uh... with the women, they took something quite valuable from him. No... it’s not what you’re thinking.” Trials: “So it wasn’t his sense of fidelity?” Maelona: “No, it was my mother’s ring.” Trials: Gasp! “He was seeing your mother, too?? Gogan, you rat!”

Gogan: “I’m merely a man. How could I resist?”

Maelona offered me every Septim she had to get that ring back.They gave me the lead to check out The Flowing Bowl, so I headed over there immediately. Upon arrival, I grilled Maenlorn about the gang, giving him the description of the Nord and Imperial woman Gogan had seen. Maenlorn had seen the two, but insisted that they kept their noses clean in front of him. He suggested that I wait around for a bit and see if they dropped by, so I bought some food and settled in for dinner.

It didn’t take too long for two women matching Gogan’s description to show up and approach me. “Signy Home-Wrecker” and “Faustina Cartia”. Faustina did all of the talking, offering me a job! Specifically, she offered me a place in her gang. Well, my purse is getting very light and... no, no, I’m not a bandit! At least, not the brute-force mug-ya kind of bandit. Besides, I don’t think anyone around here is into me enough to fall for the ruse.

Anyway, I’m to meet the three of them at a farmstead called “Gweden” at eleven tonight. Wish me luck... I have a bad feeling about this meeting.
