hello!! i know it's been literally ages since your gif panning tutorial but i'm newish to gifmaking so i was hoping you could help me. when i go to my video timeline, i don't see the opacity/transform/style options under my layer group. the individual layers have those options, but the group only has opacity. do you know why that is? thank you <3

hiiii, yes sadly PS cannot do those fancy things with groups only with individual layers. there is a workaround tho

note: this only works for layers that are not adjustment layers or contain layers with specific blending options because those will not be preserved fully.

grab your group and transform it into a smart layer like so:

and since it's only one layer now, not a group consisting of layers once you open it on your timeline, the other options will appear:

also, if you are not familiar with smart objects, once you transform, you can edit them by double clicking (it will open in a separate window) make your changes and hit save and then it will update back in your original file.
