What’cha working on⁉️ I’m starting a 🎉new year 🎉 with 3 brand new pattern tests (I must be loosing my mind😱) Here’s your first look at my Hourglass Crochet Top by @crochethighway. I love those long quadruple trebles and I was sold the minute I laid my eyes on Ana-Maria’s first sneak peak of the design. Working diligently on the yoke and I can already tell that this is going to be a gorgeous garment. I’ve been holding on to this amazing Lavender 100% cotton yarn from @fuzzywhatknots for just the right project and the #hourglasscrochettop is it. This prima cotton sock yarn has just the perfect density to make those hourglass stitches hold its structure and shape. Between the yarn and the pattern, I’m just chill’n and enjoying the process. I’ve tested @crochethighway patterns before. Her patterns are so well written that if the words could crochet, the pattern could make itself….. That’s what makes the process so effortless. Ana-Maria’s patterns are size inclusive. She is one of those designers that appreciates her testers and celebrates every size tester models by showcasing everyone’s looks in her feeds. As a plus size maker/tester, I 💯% support those designers that not only “say” they are size inclusive, but celebrate 🎉 their plus size models by CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY showcasing models of all sizes in their feeds and on their grids.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 For my Size Inclusive community….I want to remind you that if you are looking for pics of plus size garments modeled by makers of your size, please check out the hashtag #sizeiclusivestitches. A few years ago I became fascinated about the possibilities of sizing and fit for non-standard bodies, specifically, transgender bodies. I also began to wonder why so many women have very large breasts, and why so many of us carry extra weight.⠀ ⠀ I assumed someone else would conquer those things, so I didn't do more than think very deeply about it. Turns out, it may be up to me. As I considered what made bodies non-standard (👤none of us are standard, trust me!), I determined there are four things that have to be considered: genetics, 🧬 hormones, environment, in-puts.
