girls when the kindness is still there despite everything
#been thinking about my dnd character a lot and i was like. ''what if there was an evil verion of her >:)''#and the simplest idea for that would be if her childhood was just slightly different#so for context its a scifi campaign and my character escaped her gang-ridden home planet and lives in a starship as a racer#which she's good at bc when she was still in a gang she was a getaway driver. bc she's a elf and since they age differently she looked like#a little kid. and it's less suspicious to have a little kid hanging around in a car than an adult#but for the evil au her gang applies that same philosophy and makes her a lookout instead#so her instinct in danger would be to observe and calculate rather than to just Get Out of There#meaning that when stressed by the violence of her planet she stays and tries to figure out how to stay safe#rather than just stealing a ship and dipping into space#so she stays there for the rest of her life. and does anything she can to survive.#she loses the morals that made her original self leave and becomes bitter and aggressive to anyone she sees as dangerous#and it makes me think. that's not an evil Cass. that's a scared traumatized and alone Cass. Possibly more alone than her original self#who spent a decade as a teenager shutting out every single person she could. which was easy bc. it's space#so ''evil'' Cass is. pretty obviously redeemable. the kindness is still there. despite everything
