#so much happened in the barn last session#the rags put up a stop sign#Q used spider climb Just Because#Laz snapped at Maquia and still doesnt think she gets how dangerous Strahd is#at least she told him that part of why she was considering talking to him#was bc she doesn't want to see more people die because she couldn't stop it#and she admitted that Strahd tried to get her to sell out Ireena and said she didn’t do so#he's not convinced she could stop Strahd if he wanted to force her to tell him#but thats also partially bc he's been Extra Bad at avoiding getting charmed#then he and Q climbed up into the loft when Esmeralda told him he wasn't making progress on their bet#that he can't be nice to someone before the end of the week lol#then Esmeralda asked Eurydice if she'd taught him manners lol#she asked Laz how old he was and he didn't exactly know but like probably over 20???#Dissy got kinda offended that people expect her to both be Lazarus' keeper and also to have given him complete independence#even tho Esmeralda just wants her to give him the tools to like.... not degrade back into a beast#Dissy doesn't want to say 'listen the fact that he's talking and has one whole friend is a LOT of progress for someone who tried to bite me#the first few times we met'#Laz got called out for lashing out and reacting out of fear#and for being a dick a lot of the time for no reason#she asked why Laz wasnt a dick to Q and he said it was bc she didn’t do anything to him#so Esmeralda asked why he was a dick to HER when they first met#and when Laz said it was bc Esmeralda is a vampire hunter#she countered that him being in the family of the red rose#means HE'S a vampire hunter too#and he got pissy at that and said she told him he couldn't eat around her while Q was nice to him and his friend just how he *is*#there was some talk about how Laz doesn't view himself as a person bc he thinks being a monster overrides that#and being a monster means he doesn't need to pay attention to morals#Esmeralda told Dissy she needs to teach him that he does infact exist in a society#Maquia found out killing Strahd might be the only way out of Barovia and she may not be able to take Milovoj#and she's really broken up about that wuff
