Ok, so about the British history thing? For me personally growing up in England, we didn't learn shit about coloiation or anything. Mostly Royal stuff (Tudors especially), WW1/WW2 and some odd other things like the Battle of Hastings. Other stuff might be mentioned, but no real focus on it. (This is 10+ years ago for me, so my memory ain't perfect)
