#I’m prepping libraries for enzymatic methylation sequencing#so basically to map how my specimens’ DNA methylation patterns compare with reference specimens of the same chronological age#the hypothesis is that methylation patterns in fish that developed faster as embryos will have a higher relative epigenetic age#so their DNA methylation patterns will look like those of fish older than them#the idea here being that epigenetic aging could underpin the trade off between developmental rate and aging in vertebrates#SCIENCE
