#doctor finlay#rewatched 1x03 last night#and it is amazing how as soon as her new fiancé Steve tells her about going back to the US#and how he found a ship that could take her there after him in three weeks#she immediately goes all stiff and distant and worried with him#girl what did you expect that he was going to be just hanging around Tannachbrae forever?#what was the thought process of ALL this for you#cheating on Finlay then getting together with this guy but also you are with him just for funsies? but you act like you aren't#also it is gold that the first person she thinks of to ask for advice is Finlay#so he asks Steve to drop her off at Arden House absolute clown behavior#and Janet is like gurl what are you doing kissing your guy goodbye at your ex's doorstep#the writers: ooohhh will they... or won't they?#Finlay Janet Cameron the audience the universe logic itself:#stop trying to make Brenda/John happen it is not going to happen#it's supposed to be dramatic but it is actually funny. to me.
