WORDS OF HER OWN - hello!! thank you for reading up to here~ i'm really excited and nervous to be introducing myself, that's why i'm going in for more of an undercover persona. please call me Kura for simplicity!

i am able to write the following: fluff, angst, hurt/comfort [ with or no comfort ], and much much more!

i will share some more things about myself while i'm here. i am a writer(obviously), an artist(for about 3-4 years), an aspiring vtuber(i hope), and gamer(hehe).

my usual typing(like texting friends, just random posts, or aesthetics) will be in lowercase. and it's about the same irl, speaking in lowercase as my friends say. in actual writing works i'll write with proper grammar and english.

speaking of language, it was mentioned before but i speak english fluently and the only one i can speak fluently. i am currently learning spanish and want to practice, so feel free to send something in spanish and i'll try to answer in both eng and spn! and of course, japanese, i only really know basic phrases and i'm not learning JPN atm, i do know how to write in romaji, though i don't think that's really hard lol.

Why I Am Posting About This

I am a 65 year old woman gamer. I play World Of Warcraft among other games. I was in World Of Warcraft Classic Wrath Of The Lich King this morning. Was in a pretty good mood.

I am getting used to a new server. You see, I was on Myzrael, but WOW is coming out with the Classic Cataclysm Expansion this month, and they are consolidating servers. So I got free transfers for all my toons from Myzrael to Atiesh, and my first day on Atiesh was pretty pleasant. After all, the guild that I'm a member of moved there and they are a bunch of really nice people I've known for years.

So, I was moving some things around in my bank when I noticed LookingForGroup chat was getting really raunchy. Someone started spouting obvious hate speech against women, using the phrase Be A Man repeatedly and saying things from tell her she's fat to things I cannot repeat here. I was very upset and still am. I feel that there should be protections for women like me, women who were abused and trigger on things like this. It's not enough to be able to /ignore the person who's talking. It's not enough to get a free addon to mask comments like these from my chat. People like this should be stopped. Bullies run in families, yet they are often admired because they are perceived as strong. Read this article for more info. It's eye-opening.

So, bullying in schools is breeding psychosis in children. Who may grow up to be social problems. It's not just a problem in gaming, but in schools and workplaces. They need #mentalhealth care. And, the problem may push depressed teens into suicide. We need to all stand up and make our voices heard. This is my problem, and I am going to own it and speak up wherever I am online. I hope this post inspires you to do the same.

Yo, gamer community can y’all help a girl out.

I ain’t a gamer but have a question anyone may be able to answered but i figured you’d be the best to ask so please cure me of the headache i have from the absence of the answer to this specific question i have thats bugging me.

I have this really specific memory, actually several of them about something i don’t know the name of. Whats weird though is that every time i try to look it up with various descriptors of what i remember it being i can’t find anything, as though it never existed.

I can’t tell if i’m going insane or not but i swear this was a real thing and am just tryna like figure out what it is or if alternatively i am going insane and did just make up a whole bunch of false memories i am now convinced were real.

Basically i can’t remember what year these memories are from (not a good look to the hope the memories are real, i know) but from somewhere from like 2008 - 2011 i vividly remember a video game. I don’t know what console it was, if it was common one with a new at the time feature that didn’t stand the test of time and was only popular for a short period or if it was something new with said referred to unique feature with the aforementioned short popularity.

The games i played were group usually duo games often typically family friendly themed like sports games and/or adventure/racing games. There may have been other types like first-person shooter games or whatever but i was a kid and only ever played the ones the adults caring for me and/or friends chose.

What separates these games from those i can name or at least find on the internet is that they were all motion censored and didn’t rely on controls or keypads. I specifically remember how god damn fun that feature was but also hella frustrating because if you wanted to type you’d have to wave around like a lunatic trying to press each letter on screen and this task was harder then it sounds. Because of the hands free, well i guess it would better be described as controller free nature of the game i don’t have memory of what the hell these games were played from. Like i know and remember the game was a disk insert game but what you put the disk into is beyond me. It was probably the wii i am guessing because it was incredibly popular during that time period and with those amongst my age group at the time. 

But yeah i have no idea because when i google things tryna figure out what it is i can’t find jack shit and everyone i mention this game too or strand of game/extension or whatever look at me like i’m talking a different language. I don’t know, maybe everyone i know is conspiring against me knowing how god damn annoyed i get when i think of something but forget its name and/or specifics and are all just playing dumb to make me question my sanity and memory but i swear to god this shit, my memories of this thing are so god damn real. 

I didn’t personally own whatever it is i am tryna describe otherwise i’d be tearing apart my mums place tryna find it because that women doesn’t throw anything out and therefor if we did at one point own it i’d be able to get my hands on it and solve this mystery once and for all. But i remember several old childhood friends who had it and that would invite me and my sister over to play it. None of those people i am still in contact with nor want to talk to ever again as i am apparently not that desperate i’d track them down just to ask. But i do remember playing these games for hours. Only the cool and richer people i new in my life had this console or extension thing but i have a feeling it wasn’t expensive just new and pricier then the other games available hence why adults like my parents who were still skeptical of the dangers of the web and gaming for kids chose not to get it and just insisted we play outside instead; which would just result in me going to other friends houses whose parents had spoilt them with this new and exciting new game i was itching to play.

I’m assuming because these games aren’t still around at least not in the way i remember them or perhaps are still around just not popular that they must have been nothing more then a short lived fad otherwise they would have kept pumping out more the way the original iphone was followed by new upgraded better models one after another in quick succession. 

But the question remains what was it? Was it a whole new console or a extension to a existing one or was it just certain games that didn’t need a new console or plug in to play as a motion censored game. I will admit i am a little high while writing this but its a been a thought and an unanswered question thats been bugging me for ages now (whilst sober) so i assure you this ain’t a result of a weird trip. And because of this i am just itching to figure out the mystery and finally not feel so insane when others have no idea what i am talking about once i have proof this did exist and is not just all in my head.

Lmao any help and/or answers would be greatly appreciated. If this makes no sense to even the most knowledgable gamer nerd then i apologize for my bullshit and apparent insanity/delusion. But i really do think this memory is a real one fellas so if you can help me out i’d be grateful and likely better able to sleep at night.

So I'm quite emotional lol. Usually very in touch with my emotions and quite perceptive of other's feelings as well. I have a huge saviours complex especially when it comes to feelings (i love helping others figure out their feelings, being a shoulder to cry on or even offering comforting hugs) but I try my best to keep it control cause I don't wanna be suffocating

On the outside I'd say I'm fairly organized, I keep my room clean and all of that, I'm a lil bit of a perfectionist but mentally I'm all over the place. I tend to get carried away by thoughts and emotions and end up procrastinating a lot; anxiety makes it all worse. In short, I suck at time management

To most people I may seem quiet and reserved but I actually really enjoy talking to people; I'm really insecure about not being funny or interesting enough tho. Around my friends I'm more relaxed but still have moments of self doubt

I can also be quite obsessive. If something really catches my interest I won't stop until I search all there is to know about it. For example I watched bnha, read the manga, the spin offs etc all in less than a month and now I'm indulging in fanart and fanfics because I need m o r e c o n t e n t hsbsb. I'm also that kind of person that listens to a new song they like on repeat until they hate it. Speaking of music, I can't say I have a taste lol. My fave genres are rock, pop and indie but I hear smth I like, I listen to it, whether its "high quality" music, basic or weird. Lately I've been listening to a lot of epicore which is literally the type of music thats used in fantasy and sci fi movies askfkdk

I like expressing myself through writing, singing and dancing but I really can't say I'm talented at either of those, it's all in good fun. I also enjoy reading (fiction, non-fic books bore me like hell; my fave genres are fantasy, sci fi and crime) but I haaate literature in school. I'm actually a bit of a math nerd and this year I'm starting uni, studying computer science!! Oh! I've also taken drama classes for 2 years (despite the fear I loved being on stage and plan on starting again once I'm done w the baccalaureate), I love playing D&D and while I woulnd't quite call myself a gamer, I love role playing video games. I'm also almost always down for any kind of multiplayer video games w friends although I have no experience

I'm not a sportive person, I go on walks or do a few exercises every now and then at home but I'm willing to try stuff out like a new sport or going to the gym w an s/o. I do plan on starting self defense classes soon and maybe taking up sword fighting (I love swords hehe)

Tbh I've never been in a relationship so I'm not really sure how I would act w an s/o, nor what I'm exactly looking for. I best express my affection through physical touch tho and that includes my friends so I'd like someone who isn't bothered or can get used to that (s/o would still receive the most hugs/ cuddles etc). I'm not that comfortable w the other love languages for friends and family, but I think I'd be a lot more eager to express my love through them for s/o. If I'm on the receiving end, my weakness is still physical touch :)) but I also need words of affirmation every now and then cause insecurities 🌠 and while I wouldn't ask for anything, especially objects, I am a hoarder and I'd keep any kind of gift like its a national treasure simply bc its from someone I love.

In addition, it doesn't really matter if s/o is more on the emotional or rational side a long as they dont invalidate my feelings; it angers me a lot and makes me feel even more insecure. I tend to isolate when I'm really really upset about something so I need a lil bit of pushing to talk abt it; I'm open to talk abt my feelings but I need the verbal confirmation that they care and wanna help, its not just cause they're being nice

“Hey babe, whatcha reading?” Sero asked sitting next to you on the sofa, he handed you a soda which you gratefully took, not looking up from your laptop screen.

As soon as he was sat down comfortably your hand grabbed his, clasping your fingers together as you managed to tear your gaze away from the Wikipedia page which was still open. You blinked up at him and shook your head.

“Oh just something I learned about today and wanted to do some.. extra reading” you explained.

He nodded his head and drank his soda watching as your face lit up as you started to ramble about the topic, he didn’t really know much about it but the way you told him about everything, the way you happily expressed your interest towards the topic made him happy. He gave you his big grin when you finished.

“Sorry, I rambled..” You felt bad, you always felt nervous when you info dumped on people.

“Nah, it’s cool, I didn’t mind at all” he brought your hand up to his face and gave it a kiss, your face flushed at the gentle gesture which caused Sero to laugh playfully.

“Well, if your sure… I just wanted something to take my mind off chores”.

“It’s the weekend, you don’t have to rush anyway.. and if you don’t feel better by tomorrow I can help, you can wash the dishes and I’ll dry?” he suggested still peppering kisses on the back of your hand before you set your laptop down and crawled closer to him.

You nodded softly, that sounded a lot more manageable, you felt your anxiety settle down from a raging nagging feeling to something easier to tolerate. He was such a good influence on you. Sero set down his drink and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to his chest.

“The guys want to come over and say hi later, maybe get pizza… but I can tell them not tonight if you aren’t feeling it… maybe you can play that new game you got? I liked watching you play the other night” He suggested as he nuzzled your head, enjoying how your hair felt on his face.

“Maybe… can I give you an answer later?”

“Yeah, no rush babe”

SSFF Challenge 8 - Introducing Myself!

Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself since I’m still a bit of a newbie in the Simblr community, and @simblrsimplyforfun challenge 8 was the perfect excuse! So here we go =D

This is me! ^^ 🦄💕 (in a quick selfie without filters xD I hope I haven't scared you 😂)

Introduce yourself, your name, age, where you live etc. What words would you use to describe yourself and why? What words would others use? Tell us some childhood stories that you think show who you are.

My name in real life is Ailén, but my pen name since the age 13 is Piper, nowadays most of my friends call me that name and I’m really more comfortable with it, so please just call me Pip or Piper! ^^ I’m 19 years old and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷

I can describe myself as a kind person, I love meeting new people, to debate about random things with them and listening to them speaking about what they like or their plans, I’m very creative but sometimes I just run out of inspiration 😂 I’m also very affectionate! I love hugging people I appreciate and telling them I like them. Other people... I don’t know, I can’t speak for everyone 8′D but I guess they also see me as affectionate, sometimes even clingy, I act goofy at times (you can see it mostly when I talk, I tend to finish my sentences with ‘ahre’ a lot, which is an Argentinian expression to state you’re just joking), so I guess they think I have a good sense of humor as well, I love making people laugh 😄 I’ve also been called ‘cute’ or ‘adorable’ more than once and I’m proud of it! 😄💕

About my childhood... I dunno it was pretty normal, although I got bullied from 5th grade to second year of high school :( it was tough, I even developed depression at the age of 14 due to the lack of friends and the constant name-calling and pranks, but I don’t know if it would be okay to talk about it since that was on my teen years... Overall, my childhood was okay, I used to be a curious little girl, I loved to wear pink dresses or skirts xD pink was always my favourite colour c: 💟 At the age of 8 I was forced to attend English lessons as an extracurricular activity, and I ended up loving it! I’m currently teaching this language to my bff’s aunt and I’m planning on studying English at university to be a teacher ^.^ I also had a fascination for women as a child, I always created female characters for my stories, or played girl barbies with my friend, nowadays I’m a feminist and always try to defend my fellow women c: (as long as it’s an unfair situation for them, ofc) ♀️💕

Write a little about your simming time. How do you like to play your game? Which style of blogs do you like? Who are your main characters and how did you come up with them? Do you tell people in RL you are a simmer?

I learnt about sims when I was in 6th grade I think, but didn’t take interest on it until sims 4 was announced, so I started palying when I was 15 ^^ I love playing legacy style, and also use the game to take nice pictures (I’m still learning how to edit, it’s quite fun but also time-consuming ;; ).

I follow all the simblrs who follow me tbh ^^ but I love simatography blogs! Maybe one day I’ll learn how to do proper edits and poses, and then I’ll become a simatography simblr 😂

Main characters... I don’t really have, my favourite ones though are Anine and Kyung-soo. Anine was the result of a frustration night *shot* I didn’t use to have much confidence on my sims, so I put all of my effort on her, I really like the facial features of Nordic women, so I decided she’d have Nordic origins, and ended up loving her so much that I posted about her ^^ as for her personality, I didn’t have a slight idea of how her behaviour or characteristics could be, but by that time I was kind of obsessed with Overwatch, and all of a sudden imagined her in a D.Va cosplay thanks to zauma’s CC, so I thought the best was giving her a gamer/otaku likes, and her personality in general is really based off mine, she’s a happy-go-lucky girl in her late teens, always friendly and willing to help people. I had the idea of making an Asian OC the night I went to Monsta X concert, and that way I created Kyung, he’s kind of a frustrated idol lol, he’s got a really tragic story involving being rejected by his parents, friends and entertainment gorups, but is always smiling and tries his best to make people happy, kind of resembling the life of a kpop idol, who only wants to see their fans happy despite of having a tough life uwu

And yes, I usually talk about my strange obsession with sims with people, they don’t see it as something productive, but luckily I’ve never been judged badly because of it. Maybe my mum thinks it gets extreme at times, but I try to balance simming with real life activities :3

(I didn’t know if I should have talked about Tumblr in general or the Simblr community... So I made a summary of both just in case)

I started using Tumblr when I was 14, my best internet friend had a blog by those times and encouraged me to make one as well. I was starting to get depressive by those years, so most of my posts or reblogs were about “dark” things (I deleted that blog long ago, lol), so Tumblr was like a safe place, where I could speak my mind out without getting judged, I even met some people who suffered the same illness as me, and they always supported me and gave me strength to keep going on (unfortunately I’ve lost contact with them :c)

Regarding Simblr, I joined in at the beginning of 2018 I think, I wanted to share my ideas with people, but I was too shy then... It was thanks to the SSFF challenges that I started getting out of my cocoon and talking to simmers, and I’m so glad I did! The people I met are lovely and I’m really happy to have them now ^^

Things I learnt are lots of... From meshing or modding, to social values. I mean, it’s always good to have basic knowledge of informatics (it helps a lot, especially where I live), and I’m very grateful for all of those tutorials who taught me so many things. But I learnt one thing or two about people in general, I always used to put words into others’ mouth, I always thought they didn’t like me because of my looks or my behaviour, that they thought I was weird; now, I understand that they might be like me, they’re simply too shy to talk, and I won’t know what they they actually think about me if I never go and say ‘hi’; and now thanks to that ‘hi’ I met wonderful people, people who are creative and won’t judge me... That’s the most precious thing I learnt 😊

I don’t think I could help other simmers from a technician point of view, but I’m always here to talk and share my little knowledge, I love hearing other simmers’ ideas (one of my best friends irl isn’t a simmer, but loves to create OCs and stories, and I’m always there to listen about them c: ), suggesting some other things for their stories, etc. I think I could offer more of a friendship than technical help, but it’s something as well! 😂

And yes, I keep my first sims! In a folder so full of various saves that I must erradicate someday *shot* I had them for three generations, if I remember correctly, the legacy began with a pink-haired sim named Jenna, she married a vampire townie from Bridgeport, they had a daughter, Emilie, Emilie married a townie from University, who was a Plantsim, so they had a plantsim daughter, Wynn, Wynn had an imaginary friend named Percy (who’s also a fairy) and they’re now in University, they’re a couple. I made such a chaos when I was 15 xD

I don’t take part in discord chats, I made a discord user a few days ago but tbh I don’t use it a lot ;; I’d love to be in a server tho, it’s just that I don’t talk much when I’m in a group ^_^’

I haven’t met any simmer irl, I’d love to, tho! It seems to be a little hard to find simmers where I live 😂

The simmers that influence me the most are marshmallowsims, gruesim, theseprettylittlepixels and lehma! I want to develop my own style though, they’re my biggest references and hope to inspire people as much as they do someday ^^

And I’ve never done RPs, but I’d love to do some! Actually, I’m working on an AU with a sim of nonsimsical ‘s, it’s really fun to plan, and I hope I can do more of them in the future ^^
