so like, this is actually really personal. a couple of weeks ago, this fourteen-year-old girl i knew from school tried to commit suicide by jumping from the third floor window of the dance room; the place i’d left her alone in for a couple of minutes to go and get some water. thankfully this girl survived and is right now admitted and in sickbed but can you imagine being her? can you imagine what it was like? for a girl that young to choose to let her skull be split in two instead of living for a day longer? i wanted to write something to draw attention to this problem, to draw attention to how problematic this society can really be. the pressure on young students, the forced capitalism, the fake rich, the fundamentally stupid triggering jokes. if you think there’s someone in you know who is sad, who is showing obvious signs of depression, and you choose to ignore it, much less make jokes about how cynical they are―then you are a bad person. no matter what you’re going through. i’m writing this now to narrate how an undiagnosed borderline girl is struggling to keep to this thin thread of reality after witnessing a girl she looked up to jump to her death, how she learns to let go and find her kind of crowd. healing starts with the right people, and that’s what this story is about. i won’t be updating info about body ache on tumblr and perhaps this introduction is the last you’ll hear of it but i’m going to be regularly updating it on wattpad. find it here.
