๐Ÿ˜Š โ€” any career desires?
i'm in a pretty weird place in life atm, so i guess my biggest career desire is just to figure out exactly what i want to keep doing!! (and what will actually pay me ๐Ÿ˜ฉ) most immediately, i'm hoping to get into a grad program for anthropology (focus in either media ethnography or forensic anthropology), and expand my paper into a much larger research project. i'm also hoping to get more work as a theatrical lighting technician (love me some catwalks) and expand my skillset/job opportunities by beefing up my programming skills and getting in more practical design experience.
long-term, i think i either want to grow my expertise in media ethnography & publish more papers about it, or pursue cold case + natural disaster forensic identification efforts. maybe do a dollop of lighting design. i'm very indecisive and i love many things with equal vigor, i fear.
๐Ÿ“บ โ€” favorite movie(s) and/or tv show(s)?
the world's end from edgar wright's cornetto trilogy remains one of my most BELOVED movies of all time. one of the most poignant stories i've ever seen put to film, with the cleanest and most creative narrative cohesion + scenic design + callback pay-off i've ever seen, plus a bitchin' soundtrack that syncs up beautifully with its action sequences. also, dramatic acting from thee simon pegg??? he's BRILLIANT, give him more serious roles i fucking beg of you. i never get tired of that movie. also high up on the list are annihilation, the usual suspects, and mad max fury road.
as for tv shows, i ADORE person of interest with all my heart, i have watched it far too many times and it never gets old. it's what i wrote my conference paper about!!! right behind it are nbc hannibal, westworld, midnight mass, the haunting of hill house, and bones, all of which i could watch on a loop without ever growing bored. i've also been watching a lot of ER lately, which is a great show but does emotionally damage me so bad that i'm currently on a month-long break lmao.
