OH OOF OKAY HERE WE GO, more details on why I love Yusuke

I already said on IG that one of the things I like about him is the artist struggle - he wants to make art, then he gets in an artblock and desperately tries to get out of it, he has no money, he’s distracted half of the times or unaware of what happens around him... he’s a complete dork and he’s also. One of the biggest assholes in game, especially when you first meet him. Good.

He also has some really cute interactions with the rest of the PT, I wish we got more of that!!! He’s the first person Futaba holds a lenghty conversation with besides protag, and Yusuke is also the one to tell Ryuji he can talk to him when Ryuji says he can’t fall asleep at night. And I really love that he goes to the beach like that, I said it on ig, I’m saying it here too, if I was a kinnie I’d kin him hngfs

Also half of his conversations in the group chat are absolutely hilarious - when he infodumps about medjed? When he says he wants something salty while the rest of the group is having a serious conversation? In the mementos missions he goes out at night to meet a urban legend just to see if he could get some inspiration for art out of it. The absolute mad man. I wish the game didn’t give me 80% mean choices when interacting with him, he doesn’t deserve any of that.

AND HIS DESIGN. THE DESIGN. GOD. CHEF KISS. I’ll shake the hand of whoever came up with it!!!! The phantom thief outfit slaps, the eye shape is one of my fave to draw, he has long eyelashes so nice, really nice!!!! His awakening is also one of my faves, it goes from extremely painful > extremely dramatic and then it ends with Yusuke grinning?? Talk about poetic cinema

tldr, yusuke is mean but grows to be kinder, has one of the best designs, is over the top and painfully relatable to me
