S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method
When it comes to bible studying methods there's so much out there. If you were to go on google or Pinterest, most likely you’ll find more methods. Today I want to share with you my favorite method called the  S.O.A.P Method. I like this one because I find it very simple especially if you are new to bible studying/reading.
Always pray before you start any bible reading. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide as you dig into his word.
I hope you enjoy :) and stay blessed
S: Scripture(s)
Write the passage that you are reading down on paper. If you are reading a whole chapter and you don’t want to write the whole chapter, just write out a few main points that stand out to you.
O: Observation
Observe what the passage is saying to you. Ask your who, when, why, and where questions. Who wrote it, who the audience is, when it was written, why it was written, and where it takes place. Remember it’s ok if you don’t answer all the questions but answer what you can and move on.
A: Application
Look at how the passage can apply to your life.
P: Prayer/Praise
End with prayer. Pray how the Lord can help you apply this passage to your life and also thank him for all he’s done in your life.
Here are some other methods you can look up on your own. I have never tried them but from what I understand they pretty much have the same concept.
R.E.A.P. (Read, Examine, Application, and Prayer/Praise)
W.O.R.D. (Write, Observe, Relevant, Declare)
A.C.T.S. (Ask, Chapter, Think, Scripture)
A.P.P.L.E. (Attributes to God, Promises of God, Principles of life, Lesson Learned and examples to follow)
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Questions are welcome.
God bless,
              Ada
