 b. Prepare a solution of mild detergent or uPVC cleaner and warm water.
c. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the solution and gently wipe the uPVC surfaces.

2.Lubrication of Moving Parts:
Your uPVC windows and doors' moving parts should be lubricated at least once a year to guarantee smooth operation. Use a uPVC-specific lubricant or one with a silicone base as advised by the upvc windows manufacturers in Gurgaon. The manufacturer's recommendations should be followed when applying a little amount to hinges, handles, locks, and any other moving parts. Lubricants made of petroleum should not be used because they can harm uPVC.
3.Avoid Harsh Chemicals and Abrasive Materials:
When cleaning uPVC windows and doors, refrain from using harsh chemicals, strong solvents, or abrasive materials such as steel wool or scouring pads. These can cause damage to the uPVC surface, discoloration, or scratches. Stick to mild detergents, uPVC-specific cleaners, and soft cloths or sponges for cleaning purposes.
4.Protect Against Direct Sunlight:
Windows and doors of uPVC are highly resistant to UV rays. However, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the uPVC material to fade over time. To protect against this, consider using blinds, curtains, or window films to reduce the intensity of sunlight reaching the uPVC surfaces. Additionally, periodic application of uPVC protectant or wax can help preserve the color and finish.
5.Prevent Damage from Extreme Temperatures:
All the windows and doors of uPVC are designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, but extreme heat or cold can potentially cause damage. Avoid placing heat sources such as lamps or heaters in direct contact with uPVC surfaces. Similarly, during cold weather, avoid using excessive force when operating the windows or doors, as the uPVC material may become more brittle. Be gentle and careful to prevent any unnecessary strain.
6.Check and Maintain Weatherstripping:
The weatherstripping around uPVC windows and doors is crucial for energy efficiency and preventing drafts. Inspect the weatherstripping regularly for signs of wear, cracks, or gaps.
