hello i return from hiatus, and i’m ready to plot for this event! under the cut i’ll leave some general things for aidynn, yeol, and mav and also some more ideas specifically related to them. so if you’re interested in plotting feel free to like this or just slide into my ims/discord (feel free to ask for it!). what i end up listing here probabyl won’t be exhaustive, if you have thoughts pls feel free to share them all!

general:

backstage interactions are open for any of the three! mav will probably find somewhere to sit back there and watch the show but the other two will be doing who knows what, could just be eating snacks they somehow obtained or hiding in a closet with someone, there’s options

aidynn

hwan is stealing his usual roommate for fucking purposes so aidynn is in need of a roomie

idk why but ever fiber of my being tells me that this kid will be sea sick for the first bit of being on the ship, motion sickness is a part of him i don’t talk about, but catch him being useless at some points in time

during this time period he is finally make actual effort to fully get clean again, he’s trying to better himself here before his solo album at the beginning of the new year so he might be a bit out of it at times but overall he’ll be more lively than he has been in recent time

december 26: aidynn is drawing a blue card, catch him in a pool floatie doing absolutely nothing for the camera, but like he’s nice to look at, he is of no help to anyone here. also aidynn can’t swim, feel free to clown. he’s freaky tall so he just walks everywhere. but in all seriousness he’ll put minimal effort into pool games if he gets dragged into them

at the ball he will just be vibing as much as he can at what he’s just considering a company christmas party, just drinking and relaxing for the most part. probably won’t stay the whole night, could be because he found someone to sneak off with to fool around or he gets bored enough he just leaves

december 27/29: someone drag this boy out to activities on the ship and later into taipei on the free day to do something other than nap and spend money on the internet to play games on his phone

december 28: this day he will be drawing a yellow card, which he’ll lowkey love, he loves animals a lot. so he’ll just be vibing and taking photos along the way

december 30: for this card draw he’s getting a yellow card once again. i am just amused by the thought of this tol boi trying to casually slip into the activities with no one noticing he hasn’t been there the entire time

december 31: once again just drinking and vibinb but he wont’ get drunk or anything. open for a midnight kiss if anyone wants to sneak off to do that

january 1: feels kinda weirdly about a fan sign on a ship but overall is just going about his day and doing what he has to, nothing special going on

yeol doesn’t have a roommate yet either so if you want him, he’s free to be yours

the entire time yeol is gonna be trying to see how many people he can sneak off somewhere with to make out with or fool around with, so just know at any point in time, that is more than welcome for him

december 26: he will pull a red card and join in on the decorating, both a blessing and a course. yeol will love decorating in general and is helpful with it all but also he will spend a lot of time messing around and decorating other people or doing dumb things

basically the same as aidynn, just vibing, he’ll hang out with friends and do whatever for the night

december 27/29: will be out and about on the ship and later exploring the city (when applicable) once they dock so adventure buddies?

december 28: will be on the blue team for this day. he vaguely hates shopping so mostly he’s gonna complain about it until they go back, someone feel free to join him or make him at your personal bag carrier

december 30: yeol will be on blue team and living it up at the spa honestly and getting a massage because he swears he works hard

december 31: repeat of the last party and what aidynn is doing, just vibing and drinking a bit. will pout if he doesn’t get a smooch tho

january 1: nothing special truly just doing what he’s gotta

mav

mav is just happy to be here the whole time tbh, will make the absolute most of whatever he ends up doing

on a mission to try as much food as possible

december 26: mav will also find himself on the red team, as tempted as i am to throw dance illiterate mav at the yellow team i will spare everyone. he’ll actually be decorating the whole time and is very pumped to be there

probably not drinking at the ball, but will have a cute christmas sweater on, no one is stopping him. overall just relaxing with others again but will be making a gingerbread house happily

december 27/29: just vibing around the ship all day until they dock then he’s busy

december 28: he’ll be on the red team! cooking is his passion and he will be having the absolute time of his life! always in welcome of taste testers or helping people who aren’t that good at cooking!

december 30: mav will be on red team and tbh he doesn’t mind, he is a hosue husband in the making and cleaning is something he finds relaxing so he’s down for this

december 31: just vibing during the party and not doing much

 * [ kristine froseth + cis-female + she/her ] —— have you met roxanne ‘roxy’ bailey ? they are a twenty-two year old junior currently studying romance languages and literatures. they live on decker house and word around campus is that this scorpio is compassionate + dedicated, as well as impatient + dishonest. i wonder if they’ll make it out alive.

history. 

one could say that roxy had lived an easy life, though her parents weren’t distinguished by their social status, it didn’t mean they lacked money which was enough to support their daughter in whatever she wanted to do.

truth to be told, roxy was indeed a little spoiled, the type of kids who would try all kind of things on the expenses of their parents only to quit a new ‘hobby’ again. she could barely stick to anything. she was some twisted kind of golden child, good at many things but never had the patience to continue something for long enough to cultivate it. 

skipping over the part where she almost tried everything from arts, music etc. she finally found her passion ( and even roxy herself was surprised ). figure skating. she didn’t know what drew her in, she couldn’t explain it, she tried it and it felt right. roxy always describes the feeling as finding a soulmate if she feels extra dramatic that day. 

unsurprisingly, she was good at it. not that kind of good at something she was at all the other things she tried before, but that being good at which stemmed from genuine interest. maybe, that is why she managed to get so far. and it didn’t take too long that people even started to call her a figure skating prodigy. 

at this point at her life, she had it all, spinning the stars on her fingertips ( or warning bad pun ahead: spinning on the ice ). until, well, her parents company was in some crisis and they had to cut corners in the meantime. also oh so ‘conveniently’ roxy lived at the arse end of nowhere and getting to her practices was now even more difficult because as mentioned before they had to save their money for more necessary things. of course, there were more things , small and big, which totally threw her off ( which i am too lazy to list rn).

roxy tried to work part time, but a) the money wasn’t enough b) she didn’t want to cut more hours of training she managed to get. AND well, here comes the turning point and roxy thinking she was oh-so-smart without realizing that it would cost her career. oh-so-smart roxy came up with the idea to , well, just steal some stuff. after all, she trained with many other wealthy peers and she could just sell off their stuff or something. 

at the beginning she only did it to afford certain things she needed, but soon it somehow became an addiction. she felt in control when everyone else in her life was an utter mess. however, the more she took things away from others the more she felt comfortable, doing it more often and sometimes taking things which weren’t even worth that much. it was only a matter of time until she was caught. and as if she was lucky for too long, the person who caught her pressured her into either giving them a hefty sum of money (which she didn’t have) or to quit figure skating. she decided for the latter.

well, here she was and her sudden departure was quite a shock. but she had no choice and stated it was for personal reasons. 

skipping over her being devastated over it, etc. her parents managed to save their company (whatever this company is) but at this point it was already too late and roxy was accepted into holloway. 

right now she actually wants to pick up her figure skating career again, however, she’s too afraid that the blackmailer is going to expose her and also she doesn’t really know who they are (lets pretend they wrote her letters, txt messages >??) and also she’s kind of afraid due to the lack of practice she had .

personality.

okay i’ll keep this short bcs i wrote way too much for her background story. but to sum it up, roxy kind of has that perfect girl facade.  considering how many friends roxy has and how social she appears to be it is odd that no one seems to be able to describe her.  roxy doesn’t want people to know who she truly is, and she keeps her distance as she actively avoids conflicts that might cause her to say something wrong and exposes herself. 

she shields her feelings by only presenting polished version of herself, the facade of the perfect girl: kind, hard-working and polite. someone whose life is easy and someone who looks like she doesn’t have any worries. it doesn’t mean she isn’t anything of that, but it’s not as if her kindness has no bounds or that she doesn’t need to put effort into the things she does. nevertheless, she believes that she must be perfect in order to make people like her. and while, she is pretty good at masking her emotions and smile along, as soon as someone threatens to see past the illusion, she will become defensive and won’t hesitate to lie in order to preserve it.

plots.

best friends: although roxy pretty much keeps her distance from everyone else, this person had always stood by her side. maybe they knew about roxy’s sudden wannabe-thief phase ( which she is still in ) and well tried to talk her out of it ( which obviously didn’t work ). also adding some drama here and maybe they had a big argument over it and distanced from each othr because of it. however, my angst ass doesn’t want to ruin it and they’ll rekindle their friendship. they might meet again at holloway and it’s awkward at first, maybe they even have some arguments but they’ll get over it because everyone loves a good rekindled friendship story.

annoyance: someone who gets under roxy’s skin.seeing past the perfect girl face and constantly calling her out on it. maybe they just have fun annoying her and want to see what she really likes or they just don’t like roxy , thinking that beneath all of this act, she is a really unpleasant person. perhaps, they’re even doing it with good intentions and want to show her that she doesn’t need to hide who she is. whatever it is, they’re determined to expose to the world who she really is. 

pen pal ??:  muse a and roxy had been friends for a very long time, yet the funny thing is that they’ve never met each other nor do they know what the other look like. all they know is their name ( or maybe they only know each other by their usernames ) and their deepest secrets. maybe they already have crossed paths many times and perhaps even know each other but don’t like each other irl. or they never had noticed the other.

blackmailer: BECAUSE WHY NOT??? the person who forced roxy to give up on figure skating. maybe, they were a rival or just didn’t like her, or any other reason. they might as well, have noticed that roxy is secretly training again and might be back at their shit again. 

exes: GIVE ME THE ANGST, maybe muse a and roxy used to be in a serious relationship and as naive they were back then both of them thought this love would last forever. however, at some point roxy started to distance herself from muse a, constantly cancelling their dates because of their busy schedule. at first muse a tried to be understanding towards her, but as time passed things only got worse. roxy hating any kind of conflict just decided to ignore the problem instead about talking about it and eventually stopped replying to muse a messages. muse a never really got to know the real reason behind their break up and was left with unanswered questions. but anything works  

unrequited love: (this is just me throwing in my favourite way to make myself suffer) It doesn’t matter who is the one with the the one sided love because i just want some good angst.a)  muse a has a crush on roxy, yet they never told her about it. yet, muse a can’t hide it and it doesn’t take too long until roxy notices it. but instead of trying to talk to muse a about it, roxy just ignores it acting as she usually does and perhaps even give them false hope that she might like them back. maybe muse a even confessed to her and because roxy didn’t want to hurt them she told muse a she’d think about it.

b) roxy has a crush on muse a but doesn’t admit it. she doesn’t want to show their vunerable side and just plays it down. maybe they’re friends and roxy doesn’t want to lose another friend. but one day she confesses to muse a on accident, making everything awkward between them.

someone she stole from: idk i thought this would be fun ? maybe she confessed to them about it or maybe they caught her but decided to not confront her about it.

fan: someone who used to watch her perfomances on their tv and is still not over the fact that she quit.

here’s the buzz concerning oleander smith :

randy is a bee. he is ollie’s very best bee friend. he takes the cake when it comes to loyalty and priority, and if you cannot handle that, then ollie concludes your presence can probably be best made useful elsewhere.

if his bees don’t trust you, game over. sorry, ollie doesn’t make the rules !!

he’s studying botany, looking to get his masters! so in the meantime, he’s also working a paid apprenticeship with brattleboro parks & rec, maintaining the local butterfly gardens in the town center. catch him watering the plants daily, taking very frequent breaks to smell the flowers and whisper to them about how pretty & special they are!!!

he has mfing bees?? living in his hair?? like a boss tbh. and when they’re really happy and/or he’s asleep, they form a lil halo around his head and it’s 2 cute to handle. basically, the bees and ollie have a mutual protection pact, the details of which i’ll briefly outline below.

adores children, so whenever little kids come to the gardens for field trips or whatever he’s always stooped in the dirt with them, introducing them to butterflies that casually perch on his fingertips. i swear, this kid is the friggin’ flower/insect whisperer.

how the arrangement came to bee :

so a young 5 y/o ollie got stung by a bee one day. he cried a lot, not about the sting but rather about the bee dying?? so baby ollie held a full funeral service for it near its hive and then began bringing bereavement meals (sugar cubes, etc.) to the bees in the wake of their loved one’s absence, as is obviously customary when one mourns the loss of a fallen bee. he started visiting the bees more frequently, having his breakfasts outdoors in his family’s back yard just to chat with them.

in elementary school, ollie got bullied pretty badly because kids caught him talking to ‘no one’ (aka his bees). he’d always been picked on for his size and for having two moms, but this one awful kid decided to continue this teasing further than small comments and jeers. so one day, cute lil fetus ollie tries to play kickball with the other kids and is instead kicked in the shins. his balance was awful so he toppled to the ground, scraping his knee and his left cheek in the process. the other kids found this hilarious -- ollie’s walk home featured slumped shoulders and an abundance of sniffles.

his moms didn’t really do much about it tbh?? beatrice and debbie don’t believe in aggravating others; they’re pacifists at heart. so they encourage ollie to “talk it out” with his aggressor.

a similar physical teasing happens the next day. instead of telling his moms about it, ollie returns home and goes straight to the hive to tell his bees. they are BUZZING with anger. 

ollie goes to school the next morning. same shit, different day. this trend continues for about two weeks before the bees finally decide enough is enough. one of ollie’s bestest bee buddies, randy, tags along to school without making himself known. he hides away in the hood of ollie’s sweater. the bully kid tries his usual teasing at recess and manages to shove ollie onto the blacktop when ollie tries to reason with him. he’s about to do more damage with his freakin’ buzz lightyear light-up sneakers when wham!!  he’s stung! by a bee! right on his nose!

the kicker is this kid was like... hella allergic to bee stings? so he nearly died and never messed with ollie again. and from then on, the bees have vowed to protect ollie because they don’t buy into humankind’s capacity for kindness.

they casually alternate shifts living in his hair, y’know? casual. and they ADORE his current line of work, so it’s a winning situation for everyone involved.

personality ?   more like  personali-bee, am i right ladies ?? :

honestly people around town probably think he's got some marbles loose because more often than not he will converse with the bees out loud?? but they've got this ~ emotional bond ~ too, which makes communicating non-verbally just as effective? 

he's such a nerd, adores everything about botany and flowers and biology. 

lil sunshine gumdrop. but his bees WILL attack people who wrong him, or threaten him, or give off the vibe of being capable of hurting him. 

ollie is such a pacifist but he doesn't force his bees to abide by the same moral code.

you can routinely find him outside the local grocery store asking for donations to save the bees !!  

also catch him lecturing the locals on how bees have pure hearts, therefore humans should not be afraid, nor should they deem killing them the answer !!!

lavender macaroons are his favorite.

any sweets, also.

he takes his tea with milk and honey, and a dollop of sunshine.

he has a habit of humming to himself when he’s gardening.

will routinely pose questions with an unironic “huh?” at the end.

christopher robin in another life, probably.

he’s always wearing some form of gentle color. baby blues, lavenders, etc. 

he has an adorable little gardening hat. and probably always has dainty little gardening gloves tucked into the back pocket of his jeans because you just... never know when you might encounter a plant in need, ok??

very not used to being the center of anyone’s attention, so he’s very softspoken. like, even the silent evening air is like, could you pls speak up, lil gumdrop?

blushes like, all the time?

his best trait is def his smile. it just blossoms across his features and lowkey some people think the town gardens are flourishing so much just because of his sheer capacity for peace, luv, & joy.

his mail carrier? because i have this headcanon where they’ll have the most basic conversations in the morning, but they’re always so uplifting and cute?

someone who anticipates his tendency to forego a grocery basket and then spill everything as he tries to juggle it all toward the register.

bad influence!! he’s so innocent? someone attempt to lure him to the dark side?

someone who calls him to take care of spiders/caterpillars/other insects that are in their home. they’re all freaked and ready to kill, but ollie just rolls in and gingerly picks up the lil guys, coos a bit. maybe asks them how their day was, what got them into this house to begin with. turns to his friend, informs them that their spider pal here came inside because they really wanted to get a better look at their interior design -- they embroidered pillows in the living room are so tasteful.

 Well, I can’t really express anything but amazement at such an accomplishment, and to be honest I’m pretty blown away that so many of you have stuck with me since the beginning of this blog, and that so many of you enjoy Professor Oak enough to stay. I’ll forever stand by the fact that this blog was the best 'joke’ I ever made, and probably one of the most fulfilling things I’ve actively kept at. 

As much as I hope this blog has helped you find comfort and laughter, RPing Professor Oak has definitely changed me for the better, as well. It has given me an outlet to heal parts of myself and provide help to others, and also pushed me to practice positivity even when I know I get so low sometimes that I don’t even want to try. Another bonus is that I have met wonderful people here, most of you just strictly friends on the dash, but I’ve also gained relationships with people that have extended into discord and I’m sure it has made all the difference this past year and a half. 

As usual, I’m not really a fan of long-winded gushes of emotion, so I’ll keep it short, but I would really like to have it be known that my love for Professor Oak has grown tremendously, in ways I would have never reached without taking the time to thoughtfully craft his backstory and work to develop him further. I know he’s a very nostalgic character that so many of us know and respect that I’m always very careful of how I choose to build on the image without ruining what’s already there.  Out of all my many muses here, this one has seemingly ( and surprisingly ) all at once snuck its way as my primary blog; the blog I always look forward to logging into the most, where I enjoy following your activity whether it be IC or OOC, and just generally enjoy being in the presence of people so passionate about a fandom associated with my childhood. I love this little corner of a community that has welcomed me and engaged with me and unknowingly kept me going, and to look back at my experience and see that I’ve had no trouble at all makes me feel really lucky.

There will never be a way to fully and accurately express my thanks, but I will say it anyway: thank you so much, and I hope that no matter where you go, and no matter what you do, you are trying to be your best, and that you’re happy. Professor Oak will always be there to congratulate you when you reach your dreams.

I’m also the DM of a murder mystery with some fucking... shenanigans going on. The party is two disaster children and two spice boys.

I love playing mages!!! Especially wizards, but I do like my warlock. I make a lot of human and elf characters but I think dwarves and tieflings are the most interesting lore-wise

If we were talking Overwatch classes I would be defense. I like to do damage but at a distance

33. How do you write your backstory, or do you even write a backstory?

I usually start with a class and from there develop the rest of it. I try to define one or two major events in their life and how they handled them, and from there i try to let the character develop itself. I write.... so much backstory.

34. Do you tend pick weapons/spells for being useful or for flavor?

I try to be as useful as I can while still being true to the character. Like my one bard that has basically stopped adventuring and hates fighting to begin with, so there’s no way he would load up on attack spells, but would probably have 1 just in case.

35. How much roleplay do you like to do?

I love it! Honestly the hardest part is being afraid of talking to NPCs. And that’s not even because of social anxiety, it’s because I know if I want to get anything done I’m going to have to roll for it and I might fuck up horrendously even if what I’m saying makes sense.

The reason I mention this, is because not everyone knows about Tokihogushi-hen arc. I approve of that kind of rp because I absolutely love angsty-themed rps,

another aspect of this might be my husbando, since he roleplays mainly edgy Battler, it’s more ic; for our muses; rena loves Keiichi, and even if she falls for Battler during an rp, there is no way she’d fall for the edgy Battler too. Since he’s literally a nightmare of the original Battler.

Rena has been through a lot of shit. She is bad-ass insane at times. However, Rena isn’t a killer-loli, She’s much more than that. Despite her usual cheerful and childish behavior, she’s actually one of the most matured characters in Higurashi with a really deep personality. And I will roleplay her accurate to the games not the anime.

You may consider Rena as a Yangire which isn’t just wrong, but please keep in mind that her deceiving treats come from her delusions most of the time and such come again by 80% from the hinamizawa syndrom.

Rena has the highest number of murders of the club members because in Yoigoshi-hen (the alternate version of Tsumihoroboshi-hen) she successfully blew up the whole school which killed 15 children (including herself, Mion, Satoko, Rika and Keiichi), likewise, she murdered Houjou Teppei and Mamiya Rina.

Rena is not mentally labile, tho she may seems evil at times, she is neither good or bad. One could most likely say she’s very ‘sick’ at times. Absolutely delusional.  If I had to categorize her, I’d say she’s “chaotic good”.

Rena has been through a lot of shit. She is bad-ass insane at times. However, Rena isn’t just a killer-loli, She’s much more than that. Despite her usual cheerful and childish behavior, she’s actually one of the most matured characters in Higurashi with a really deep personality. And I will roleplay here accurate to the games not the anime.

You may consider Rena as a Yangire which isn’t wrong, but please keep in mind that her deceiving treats come from her delusions most of the time.

Rena has the highest number of murders of the club members because in Yoigoshi-hen (the alternate version of Tsumihoroboshi-hen) she successfully blew up the whole school which killed 15 children (including herself, Mion, Satoko, Rika and Keiichi), likewise, she murdered Houjou Teppei and Mamiya Rina. (multiple murders of one person do not count towards the total).

Rena is not mentally labile, tho she may seems evil at times, she is neither good or bad. One could most likely say she’s very ‘sick’ at times. Very delusional.  If I had to categorize her, I’d say she’s “chaotic good”.
