(fervently knocking on your door) hey anyone else thinking about the fact that knuckles wielding the flames of disaster and being the iblis trigger in the scu (and, in pachacamac's portrayal of the events that lead to this discovery, knuckles realized he had the power all along) means that very likely someone sealed iblis in knuckles when he was young. and it was either pachacamac or his own father, and while pachacamac being the leader of the echidnas and the one recounting all of this to wade suggests that he did it, the story elements from 06 that the knuckles series borrowed this entire concept from suggests to me that it was knuckles' dad who did it, or at least he participated in doing it which is, uh, i'm just saying that it's a fun way of adapting locke microwaving knuckles.

additionally i do think that its hilarious that they gave tikal's narrative role (as a guiding spirit, that is) to her warmonger dad and i do think that its hilarious that they gave blaze's pyrokinesis and (possible) relation to iblis trigger to knuckles... but if they do this a third time we should kill someone

i was gonna say its annoying that it seems the scu erased tikal from existence since there wasnt any mention of her in sonic 2 or knuckles series. until i realized with pachacamac being moved up further into the timeline closer in proximity to knuckles - like, closer enough that knuckles knew him personally to a degree - while visibly being old enough to be a grandfather. and then i thought to myself. what if tikal did, past tense, exist in scu. but she was aged up to be knuckles' mom. instead of his, like, great-great-great, so on, great aunt

i sit here and i think about the fact max and locke are both characters who were raised in such horribly toxic codependent environments with deeply traumatizing experiences happening at exactly the same age and developed severe abandonment issues as a result. and theyre friends. theyre friends and theyre foils. and

the thing you must know is that i fucking love locke i dont even care. i'm obsessed with the guy. i almost wrote an essay then i realized i dont feel like committing to that right now but the sentiment remains

kind of wild how everyone talked about how its "implied" in sonic 2 that the wachowskis adopted knuckles when honestly the only implication that might have happened didn't even happen until the beginning of the knuckles series, which wasnt even out yet when such claims were made, and even then any bond between knuckles and the wachowskis outside of sonic is literally nonexistent. but knuckles does bond with the whipple family, and joins in on whipple family traditions in a way that parallels sonic joining the wachowski family, down to the same language used to describe this bonding as explicitly being part of the family... so... (shrugs) knuckles whipple superiorityyyy

its kind of funny that scu knuckles is just what happens when you put blaze the cat, mcu thor, and archie knuckles into a blender and then set him free in the real world

so fucked up and twisted how they intentionally wrote parallels between cosmo and knuckles like for a moment i thought i was just reaching like i was just imagining it but like twice the two of them acknowledge the similarities between them. the way he canonically saw himself in her and became so protective of her, and got so emotional about wanting her to be free and wanting her to live and thrive like. god. it drives me insane. he looked at her and was like oh thats my new baby sister i know it to be true. and. and and and and and

every time i draw locke he looks like a very mournful dog. which i mean, he is. to me. but its so funny

he looks like hes sitting in the corner sighing sadly while waiting for you to drop table scraps. he looks tormented by demons. which he is. he looks like he hasnt heard good news in a decade. which he hasnt.

i really am impressed that elias is as normal as he is given the fact he was raised by the brotherhood of guardians (collectively sick in the head to degrees that make max look normal and the least normal family to exist ever, all objectively the worst parents and most unhinged leaders in the entire series)
