Xyx’s hair tickled the base of your neck, his arms slithering around your waist and gripping like a vice. “I think the odds are in my favor today.”

You refused to acknowledge him for the time being. You’d asked the receptionist at the hotel you were staying very politely that you needed two beds, and here you were. In his arms. Which was nice, you loved him and he loved you and he was really warm, but it would be even nicer if he wasn’t being such a smug asshole about all of this. “This is only something that happens in bad fanfiction.”

“Oh, don’t act like that doll. You love me.”

You covered up the fond smile that was growing on your face by rolling your eyes. “Some days. Now I’m wondering why we’re even together.”

"So what I'm hearing is," he grabs your jaw with gentle fingers and places kisses where your jaw and neck meet, more smile than lips. "You admit that you love me? That you're sooo obsessed with me?"

"Oh my god," You feel laughter bubbling up in your throat and the faux scowl that once covered your face has been replaced with something more genuine. "You suck."

You feel Xyx's teeth against your skin. "And you're in love with me. What does that make you?"

"A fool."

He hums, closing his eyes and chuckling. His smirk is nothing but mischievous, you don't dare to trust him. "I was going for mental, or deranged even, but sure."

"I'm gonna punch you." You roll your eyes again and make an attempt to move your hands, but they're pinned to the side of your head before you can even go that far.

Xyx's eyes are now open and cunning. Like a devil, you think. Like a really pretty devil. "With what hands?"

Your guard is let down and you barely notice him leaning towards your face, pressing angel-like kisses all over your face. You sigh. "You suck."

"You've said that before. Are you just so in love with me you can't think right now?"

You kick him in the shin and give him a quick kiss to his lips. "Don't push it too much."

Xyx laughs and you swear to everything that is righteous and holy that it's the most beautiful thing you've ever heard. Your limbs are entangled and you could swear you hated him a minute ago, but when he's this pretty you forget why.

You push a strand of hair away from his eyes and he leans into your touch, kissing your palm softly. His laughter starts up again and his demonic smile returns. "Eww. You're being cringe right now."

You shove him off the bed. You remembered why you hate him.

Blooming Panic Magical Boy Headcanons

-Their personas are all based on the Bloomic characters they're assigned to. And so they take up abilities that reflect that. Bloombot is their Luna/ Kyuubey/ Kero/ magical creature that is there to guide them because they're chosen by destiny/ yada yada.

Quest: Based on Xander of coarse.

Powers include:

Redirection- Can make an arrow appear on the ground to move an ally or enemy.

Healing- Self explanatory.

Shield- It's in the shape of a 2D blue rose design.

Other wise can use general punches and kicks to do damage.

NightOwl: Based on Damien.

Powers include:

Life drain- fangs glow with a pink light, can pierce victim to drain them of strength to health himself or bolster strength.

Wall scale- can move up buildings vertically and navigate through them with ease and understanding how their layouts are.

Charm person- can temporarily charm victim to let down their guard or comply to demand.

Offensive weapons are mostly fangs and claws.

XYX: Based on... Celeste!

Powers include:

Smooth talk- can convince you to comply or believe what ever he says so long as it's said in a rhyme or tongue twister. This works less the more you do it on a single person.

Water manipulation- self explanatory.

Beast communication- can talk to animals, namely to a very specific ornery cat.

Offensive moves also include the punches and the kickings.

Nakedtoaster: Based on Nathaniel

Powers include:

Conjuration- can manifest objects of certain size, bigger as skills improve. Attempts to conjure an object with sentiency like bloombot eventually rebel.

wall flower- can blend into the background with near invisibility; if they speak it breaks the illusion, however.

Command- can put a one word movement command on an item like "lift" on a platform or "off" on an powered electronic. This has a cool down period so it's best to use a sequence of different items. Good for "return"-ing weapons to hand when they've been kicked away.

The one most likely to use weapons for fighting, other wise melee as well.

xyx scratches such an itch in my brain, he’s such a fantastic character. i think, the fact that team’s initial xyx write up being straight up platonic really just adds to the charm of it for me. 

i just really appreciate that his route is about asserting personal boundaries, and how he, while still maintaining good friendships online has this distinct divide between his online life and offline one. he’s warm and easy going, but still so wary. i  just, i like  that he’s a lot more withdrawn than he lets on. he’s been burned before, he’s jokey and fun and light  hearted and absolutely fumbles when met with patience and genuine kindness. 

i don’t know, i just i really like how he feels like a friend. it’s different when he joke flirts and  when he actually  flirts. it doesn’t feel scary, or anything. it’s just. it’s so nice. he’s so nice. and like he’s pretty, and he has freckles, and im stupid bc i love career oriented ppl who are hard workers who still know how to have fun. i like ppl who make me want to work hard to meet their level. he’s a risk taker, which at worst could be bella swan ala new moon just trying to feel, but also just. he’s out there touching rocks and jumping into the ocean, we love that bro. 

and i just. the entire bit of cat?? cat helpign enforce self care for xyx?? *chef’s kiss* perfection. idk, he’s so functionally unfunctional, and idk having a pet rlly helps.. his worry and concern over cat. 

the way xyx never feels like he can truly be himself and let loose?? he has to choose his words carefully for work, he chooses his words carefully around friends because he doesn’t want to be a serious guy. he’s always swapping between  those, so finding  people (toaster, salo, even you the player) he can actually fully relax around  is really good??  

i feel like i have more but im gonna shut up i need to finish my accounting stuff  whatever!! bloomic is  fun!! it’s cool!! it’s such a neat exploration in what modern dating and meetcutes really are these days, and the fact that the cast is in  their mid to late twenties makes it all the more better. reminded  me a lot of my own experiences, but like better?? LMFAO.  it was a very kind game to play, it’s been really comfy to  replay
