It’s day X of the #mayvinylchallenge by @jennn_erator: Shout Out: Local Record Store. South Shore Commission - Free Man (Wand, 1975) Today I pay tribute to Harmony Records, which operated continuously in the Parkchester section of The Bronx from 1956 - 2015. I ended up there in 2013 because it was Record Store Day and it was only shop near me (I live on the northern tip of Manhattan) that I could conveniently swing by in the course of a long list of errands. It was kind of a trip (search “A Bronx Cheer For RSD” on AnEarful), but I’m glad I got there!
