After really enjoying my first visit I booked a day off work and fished another Tuesday open. A few matches to catch up on, Sunday I was at Dillington and drew 18 which I was happy with but struggled for 4lb 1oz. Then it was to Summerhayes on Monday and had a lovely day on peg 19 catching some nice skimmers for 12lb 12oz and third in the silvers but was just 2oz off second. Today I went to Revels for the first time in over 20 years and had a fantastic day catching a small barbel, chub, roach, perch and skimmers for 14lb 4oz and third in the silvers again but was 6oz off second! An impromptu charity match at Harry’s today saw me draw the infamous peg 4 for only the second time ever. I didn’t really do it justice but still had a lovely days fishing to weigh 95lb 8oz for third spot behind Chris Norton who did brilliantly from peg 6 to win with 124lb. We were back for another Stoke AA charity match at Harry’s today. I got drawn peg 11 which wouldn’t have been my first choice but had a lovely day catching 4 carp, lots of pasties plus 9 skimmers and roach and Rudd on maggots over Special G Green and The Juice for 29lb 4oz which was enough for third place. Another £120 went into the charity pot and the total for this year stands at £561 - brilliant stuff! We had a little knock up at Sadborow pond yesterday, I had an enjoyable day but my 49lb was last on the pond. I had this lovely chub around 4lb 8oz which would have been a pb but I didn’t weigh it separately as it was foulhooked!
