Хакерская атака во время турнира по Minecraft оставила Андорру без интернета на полчаса

Портал Tom’s Hardware сообщает, что на прошедших выходных DDoS-атака во время турнира по Minecraft оставила независимое европейское княжество Андорра без интернета примерно на полчаса.

Речь идёт о соревновании SquidCraft Games, для которого используется модификация, созданная под впечатлением от сериала «Игра в кальмара». Призовой фонд организованного Twitch Rivals состязания составляет $100 тыс.

В ходе проведения турнира неизвестные атаковали серверы единственного провайдера Андорры — Andorra Telecom, — тем самым лишив участников SquidCraft Games шансов на победу, а жителей — интернета.

Из-за множественных перебоев с подключением организаторы SquidCraft Games были вынуждены отстранить от турнира участников из Андорры (их было не меньше восьми), лишь после чего соединение удалось восстановить.

Мотивы злоумышленников остаются загадкой, однако популярные стримеры AuronPlay и Rubius, участвовавшие в SquidCraft Games и пострадавшие из-за ситуации, уже объявили награду за поимку хакеров — по €10 тыс.
