i finished the fontaine archon quest last night but i needed to sleep on it n collect of all my thoughts before trying to articulate them bcos ! ! it just made me feel So much (⸝⸝o̴̶̷᷄ o̴̶̷̥᷅⸝⸝ ྀི) it is v easy to see how much love n care were put into creating this story and the characters within it as well ! 🫧

i so wish to hold navia n furina n neuvillette in my palms , let them rest their scarred angel wings until they are repaired + fluffed again 🤍 show them the tender loving care they so desperately need ! ! ૮꒰ྀི ›̥̥̥ ⸝⸝ ‹̥̥ ꒱ྀིა

navia + furina especially . . . to see my sweet cheerful girls fall apart at the seams , shatter into shards . it rllie rllie hurt :C navia who has had to live with her deceased father's tarnished name , who has to now live without melus n silver who filled the pockets of friends , guardians , confidants in her life . . . and then furina . oh that darling girl who deserves to only ever feel joy and love and peace for the rest of her life ! ! to endure with such a weight on her being , to only walk that tightrope for 500 years . . . all alone . without any help . it broke my heart ! she is so strong and selfless and her love for her people runs so deep . . i want to wipe all her tears n cuddle her n take away all her pain waaaf ! ! ! ! ! ! oooo i just wubwubwubwub her n navia forever :c two little sunspots in the corner of my mind ♡

it was rather harsh in my opinion , how we had to set furina up the way we did in the archon quest n take her to court — i absolutely Hate tricking people like that so that bit was definitely not enjoyable for me at ALL to play through . to show someone kindness , a place of refuge and then rip it away from them is SO cruel , even if the grand outcome is for the better . ugh i hated that we had to do that so much >:C ! ! !

mmm the part of the quest that made me cry the Most was focalor's n neuvi's interaction . . i just ໒꒰ ྀི ′̥̥̥ ᵔ ‵̥̥̥ ꒱ྀིა ! ! ! ! sawblez ! !

oooh the ambient chorale music in the background rllie set the scene . . . it felt so holy , divine . even from just the music alone , i felt like i was being granted clemency , forgiveness — which was sooo perfect given the prophecy of fontaine ⭐️

the way focalors talked about furina . . " her strengths were of a kind only a human could possess, as were her shortcomings. but in my eyes, furina's humanity was what made her perfect. she was perfectly human in every way . . . the person i always wanted to be " need i say more ? ! her heart is so big :'c to find beauty in flaws , appreciate the ordinary and mundane . . especially as an archon ! a god ! ! someone so divine . . . waaa she's just so ! ! im squishing her .

anyway , now that furina is free from the shackles that have bound her for nearly half a millennium , i hope she eats allll the yummiest cake n sweet treats ever in the whole entire universeee ! laughs n smiles lots , loves freely :3 has companions like the traveler n neuvi to spill all her troubles to , finally be able to lean on them when she feel like she can't walk alone ! ! catch up on all the years she's missed leading her life how she wants to !

&& RAY CHASE ! ! ! eee he did such a magnificent job of voicing neuvillette — the despair , loss , confusion , guilt to his words was so Tangible n just aaaa . . ๐·°(৹˃̵﹏˂̵৹)°·๐ weeped into my pillow when focalors sacrificed herself n he started crying . . the animations for the cutscenes were also sooo amazing this patch ! the subtle pinch of his brows n his shaky shoulders . . . aaa neuvillette is such a tender soul :3

thinking about the aftermath , taking into consideration just how empathetic neuvi is , i wonder how the guilt will settle on his shoulders . . it hurts a lot to think about him living with that feeling for the rest of his years ૮꒰⑅ ˊ ᵔ ˋ ⑅ ꒱ა but i hope with his friends beside him , the pain will be more bearable , even if only a little bit !

now for some parts that made me smileee hehe c:

this scene at hotel debord with the melusine sedene was a bit bittersweet, but i very much appreciate her outlook on life :3 . . . " still , even if there'd be no cake tomorrow , that wouldn't keep me from having some today " — tomorrow is not guaranteed so you may as well live today ! ! this is how i lead my life , and it may seem rather naive n childish buttttt ! i dunno . i wouldn’t want to trouble my mind with the worries of tomorrow when i can indulge in the joys of today . . ya know ?

&& THEN TARTAGLIA ! ! waaaauw him fighting the whale made me squeal omgosh i missed him sososooo much ໒꒰ྀི˃ ˂ഃ ꒱ྀི১ wags tail wags tail wags tail wags tail hehe , he's just the Bestest :3 ! however , it was quite upsetting to me to see him so tired at the end . his foul legacy state obvi takes such a toll on his body n to think about how long he's been like that is . . aaa :c

i do wonder what was going on in that littl brain of his . . . was he battling the narwhal just Cause ? simply for the sake of fighting it ? did he think of it as just another opponent to train against or was he rllie truly concerned about saving the people of fontaine . . i dunnoooo ! ! 'm just happie to see him alive n breathing :-D ! ! ! also i was So taken aback when skirk just tossed him like a ragdoll through the portal omg like ummm (๑˙ ̯ ˙๑) what did u do that for pls be kinder to him ueueue ;w; ???

&& the final cutscene . . eeee it made me weep , but only happie happie tears ₍ᐢ >ω< ᐢ₎ there was something so powerful about seeing all the characters come together to save the people of fontaine , holding hands , working in harmony ♡♡ it's very sweet and beautiful , even in real life when individuals put aside their differences to work towards a common goal . . wouldn't u agree ^__^ ?

( don't tell wriwri this . okay , you absolutely cannot . but . seeing him in that cutscene . . " all hands , initiate emergency rescue " SQUEEEEEEEB ahem srrie . SRRIE ! he is sooo prince eric coded to mee sawble bawblez . . i dunno i kind of like him i think . . he's okay . . . wuhbuhhh ૮( -﹏- ྀི)ა squeaks n hides . )
