Scholarly abstract:
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to design a research study at the dissertation proposal level, with all research components in alignment with each other. The design / methodology addresses ethical considerations, and sampling considerations in alignment with research design as well as population size. The findings are that the validity framework complements the research design in a positive manner, including anticipation of threats, constructs, and operationalization. The data collection instrument including construction and design must also be aligned with statement of purpose, problem statement, and research questions. The reflection of the doctoral applied degree, (doctor of business administration) or research-based (PhD) is also present within the research design. In this case the frameworks are conceptual. The finding is that conceptual frameworks can also be aligned with other theories and frameworks, but this will be a conclusion of the research study design. The practical implication is that in an applied degree, a research study can be designed for any topic as it is the conceptual frameworks that are constant. The research topic is not and may result in cross-disciplinary outcomes. The value is that the fundamentals of research methods is an excellent requirement in any applied degree, given the flexibility and scalability with which it can be applied subsequently to the research analysis process. Keywords Autonomous systems, Revenue generations, Proposed analysis techniques
Set eternally, noninterruptive et al, transferable and attached, et al

Assessing A Tentative Doctoral Dissertation Topic As Literature Review Synthesis, By McCalla, Christine Ann, MBA, MS, CBME, CAHR, CBDE, CTW, CPA
Introduction
The course Scholarly Literature Review from synopsis is expected to be a research course, but this is misleading with consideration for its fundamentals which are its strengths and the skill acquisition that it offers. The Scholarly Literature Review is substantially a research course, which translate to a teaching aide, a prerequisite / fundamental resource, and its elevatory concepts, theories, and frameworks evolve into additional and new opportunities for new skills and knowledge transference. This is simply the building block to becoming the versatile and skilled practitioner the Doctor of Business Administration, (DBA), requires and society expects.
Keyword Search
This study was conducted using scholarly peer-reviewed articles using seminal studies (Bloomberg and Volpe, 2008) five year span of time for literature review. The searches were executed in the databases EBSCO / Roadrunner, ScienceDirect, and Sage Journals, primarily using the Boolean operators AND and OR. The nesting methodology was considered but the search results were too narrow resulting in only 1 result, and was discarded as a result.
The assignment was interpreted as the production of an empirical study and as a result, the search criterion used were directed towards this accomplishment. The search criterion included, qualitative research design, quantitative and qualitative methods, developing likert scales, COSO, committee on sponsoring organization, resources acquired from previous weeks, and developing qualitative case studies. Furthermore, given the extensive knowledge gained within the Scholarly Literature Review process prior weeks’ resources recommended and required by the syllabus were included. These included seminal works Bloomberg and Volpe (2008), Rocco and Plakhotnik (2009), and Davis (2011).
Problem Statement for Dissertation Research
The integration of my area of research strategic management and the continuation in business, and my degree DBA as an agile, scalable, and versatile academic model that can be translated and pursued as an economic model. The purpose of this study aims to integrate my area of research and my practitioner’s degree versus a research-based PhD with the elements of an empirical study. Stoten (2014) emphasized the necessity for practitioners to “... recognise that ‘knowledge production’ takes place outside the university sector in the guise of ‘think tanks’, policy institutes and commercial research establishments.” Kumar and Antonenko (2014) argue that “... problems of practice are often influenced by current needs in their practice and initiatives or policies that they did not choose to adopt. Such needs, initiatives and policies are subject to change based on political, institutional, or administrative decisions in their contexts.” As supported by Stoten (2014) and Kumar and Antonenko (2014), my DBA facilitates this.
Preferred Research Method, Qualitative
My preferred research method is qualitative research. The selection criterion for the qualitative research was based on Northeastern University’s qualitative investigation techniques that (1) uses a predefined set of procedures to answer the question, (2) produce findings not determined in advance, and (3) produce findings applicable beyond the immediate boundaries of the study. This qualitative data study will be Qualitative Research Designs’ combination interview of yes, no, and open-ended questions disseminated and analyzed electronically.
Describe Potential Study Participants
The population consisted of twenty (20) respondents with incomes between ten million dollars ($10,000,000) and thirty five million dollars ($35,000,000). The twenty (20) respondents were chosen from the 2014 Fortune 500 Listing at a ratio of fifty percent (50%) and Guidestar Nonprofit Directory at a ratio of fifty percent (50%). The respondent selection criterion included incomes, years of experience, and implemented strategic plans. The respondents were chosen for experience, fifteen (15) years in management and implemented and enforced strategic plans, and include roles, Director of Finance / Administration, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and President.
The sample is expected to consist of sixty five percent (65%) respondents of the population due to organizational demands and Costa Oliveira’s 2014 network of relationships and interrelational reality derived or comprised from the balanced scorecard perspectives (learning and growth, internal processes, customer, and finance), also known as the competitive landscape.
Data Collection Method
The data collection method is a thirty (30) question online questionnaire using Google Forms, utilizing the reporting capacity to summarize, trend, and analyze responses in an electronic reporting format. The questions will be formatted with the following options: yes, no, not applicable, and open ended questions. The results will be shared upon completion of the study.
Research Problems - (List 1-3 Draft Research Questions)
My research focus was determined at the beginning of the semester and translated to research questions. These are, (1) how does an efficient stratagem contributes to business continuation, and, (2) does the continuous awareness of trends in business facilitate engagement and leadership?
The research objective is to determine how the engagement of governance including engagement and leadership, and the awareness of trends affect strategic management and the continuance of business across non-profit and for-profit corporations including Fortune 500 companies. Mithas, Tafti, and Mitchell’s (2013) approach to competition is, “A firm’s intent concerning digital strategic posture is a moving target due to the difficult-to-predict actions of a firm’s peers.” This strategic positioning can be evaluated using income as one of the key benchmarks.
Chosen Theories Support the Above Elements
Figure 1 is a conceptual framework of my research questions. Summarized, the elements of my research questions and their theories are stratagem, continuation, governance, and business management. These elements and their theories visualize the concepts and theories that my research present.
Assess the Viability of Such Dissertation Study and Relate it to Your Degree (PhD or DBA) and Specialization
Brunstein, Heidrich, and de Araújo Amaro (2016) presented a unique perspective on strategy and competition in their discussion of metastrategy. Brunstein, et al (2016) argued the dominance of strategy and competition in their compare and contrast of metastrategic strategy which seeks dominance over competition vs conventional competitive strategy. Brunstein, et al’s (2016) metastrategic strategy extends beyond profitability to competitive competence which creates barriers for competitors and generating obstacles to imitation. Deakins, Bensemann, and Battisti (2016) defined entrepreneurial skill as incorporating behaviour which may be strategic, tactical and personal, and demonstrates innovation, creativity and entrepreneurism to generate new flexible, adaptive and responsible market spaces. However, sustainable competition and entrepreneurial skills are not the same. A comparison of Brunstein, et al (2016) and Deakins, et al (2016) shows that Brunstein, et al’s (2016) competitive aggression disables the competition and creates obstacle to imitation while forging ahead. Same is the viability of my degree DBA in an academic and professional competitive landscape.
Conclusions
The integration of an empirical study as proof of the usefulness of the DBA as a practical degree is an efficient methodology of proving the area of research as well as the subsequent research questions. The conceptual framework is now feasible, viable, and is now a selling point to academia and transferable as an economic model in the competitive landscape. The answer to whether the competition can be disabled is provided in the results of the study, and not just an hypothesis. This metastrategic strategy also addresses and rates the competitiveness with which the DBA student is able manage the competitive area, leaving one vulnerability - the success of the design of the data collection instrument. Poorly designed surveys are ineffective and efficient, and provides no answers let alone contribution.
